That's funny. But it makes since. Me personally, I think that Samsung's biggest mistake is trying to out race Apple. What I mean by that is, they rushed at trying to finish the note 7, trying to get it in the stores and in the hands of there customers before Apple finished the Iphone and put it in the stores and in the hands of there customers. But instead of racing to out do the competition, what they should have done is just took there sweet time, just like Apple did. Made sure that everything worked on it, and made sure that the battery was good on it before stocking it in the stores and getting it in the hands of the consumers. Then the Note 7 would have Beaten the iPhone 7 for certain, make no mistake about it. Because all the other Note phones beats all the other iPhone's. The Note line is truly the best phones, in my opinion.
Now what I think is that Samsung should take there time and recall figure this battery thing out, make the necessary changes and take a few months and test the phones and bettery to make sure that it is safe for sure. they should play around with charging it, over charging it, and charging it with the wall chargers, car charger, and wireless chargers for about a good five or 6 months, then they should bring the Note 7 back out with vengeance. You know, add a few new features on it as well. Beef up the s pen and the edge screen a little bit more. Or they could do that and call it the Note 7 1/2 or the Note 8. But I don't think that they should give up and kill the entire Note series because of the batter problem. That should quit messing around and fix it, permanently. But take there time with it and make it better. Of course, because of the battery exploding problem, people may be a little afraid to by them at first. But when the true Galaxy Note fans start to by them, and have them in there possession for about 3 or 4 months without them over heating, catching on fire, or blowing up, then people will start to feel more safe with them, then sails will really start to pick up. In my opinion, that's what they should do.
I have the Edge 7 dude. It's literally not that much different. Aside from the note features containing the slightly larger size, and the s pen features, it's literally the same phone. -_- Deal with it.
According to a unpublished preliminary report sent to Korea's Agency for Technology and Standards (obtained by Bloomberg), Samsung had a manufacturing error that "placed pressure on plates contained within battery cells," which "brought negative and positive poles into contact." "The defect was revealed when several contributing factors happened simultaneously, which included sub-optimized assembly process that created variations of tension and exposed electrodes due to insufficient insulation tape," a Samsung representative tells CNET.
Or, in plain English: the thin plastic layer that separates the positive and negative sides of the battery got punctured, became the shortest route for electricity to zap across the battery (that's why they call it a "short-circuit"), and became a huge fire risk.
I think they will release a note phone next year or the s22 series will have a built in s-pen. They know people like the note series rather than the z fold and z flip with plastic display.
Dude! I've spent so much time and effort into this issue I'm so ANGRY! When I heard the news this morning I went on another angry rant. don't watch if you're sensitive to bad language.

If lithium battery is faulty, protection electronics in phone must prevent the battery from explosion by eg. stopping charging process. But samsung blows up, this means *battery and phone is faulty!*
