That worked nicely. I read a couple of guides, and neither mentioned the guys in the top right corner. Using those to beat red right away made this mission not that bad. Also like the concept of using buildings to create a wall rather than spending hundreds of stone.
Great job! Your micro skills are awesome! Thanks for posting this video I was getting crushed by both red and yellow! I feel more confident seeing that it can be done! Hopefully I can come close to your skill level and beat this mission!
Hello Darion Pacheco, and welcome to the channel! I am glad that you enjoyed the video. This one is very difficult, specially if you are not familiar with how the map looks and where does the enemy come from. Then again, when you finally beat it you get a big feeling of accomplishment. Hope you can beat it soon. Good luck!
I'm going to be honest, I cheesed this level very hard. I rushed the 2nd tower upgrade, then quickly started building 2 towers to attack red's barracks and later another 2 next to their town center. In the meantime I used the food I had to rush settlers and chop wood to build war galleys to defend myself against yellow. Then I went Legion/priest and overwhelmed yellow
That's lucky how you get reinforcements in this version, in the original game I had to rush to an Academy and trained hoplites to take out reds workers and certain buildings to bankrupt them, then get back to base as soon as posible, to fend of the seemingly endless yellow attacks especially on hardest.
That mission was pretty hard! I managed to acomplished it by do a short sword rush + reinforcements against reds at the start while I build an armada. With a bit of luck I managed to only recieve 2 yellow invasion and was helped a lot by my fleet. I build 10 ships and focus on keep the seas at my control, destroying eney ships. transports and when I could research the iron age tech I destroy most of the coast, then the map became pretty easy finally XD.

Nice thank you. I was so stupid and started builiding wall around my village
Hello! How is the AI in 2022/2023 ? Are campaigns playable as they were in original AoE? Is AI smart enough to challenge you and make the missions hard to beat? Thanks
hey @GruntGG i know this is very try hard level but i think if you played with legions instead of chariots after defeating red could be easier i am not pro so i could be mistaken
It would probably work. However, the issue with legions is that they cost gold and gold runs out quite fast in this game, also they are easy to convert. Scythe chariots on the other hand don't cost any gold and are extremely resistant to conversion. The cost of chariots is rather low and the stats of scythe chariots make them extremely cost efficient and are considered a power unit.
The Westnern harass you way to much, even on easy. I still think it's easier than Holy Man because here you have access to ballistics which helps a lot.
Lord of the Euphrates is one of the most difficult scenarios in the entire AoE1 both in the original game and in the DE so I can totally relate. However, in the DE you have some big help with the free units you can grab at the east of the map which makes things much easier to handle compared to the original game. Once you manage to get yourself in a commanding position and eventually win, it's a really gratifying experience though. Good luck if you keep trying! Hope the playthrough gives you some good tips on how to approach it.
He isn't kidding in the original that's not the definitive edition it's nearly impossible on the hardest difficulty without cheats there's only two viable strategies and the yellow will always hunt down and kill any villagers to stop your economy that they can. Obviously a cavalry early to kill all red axeman In the original is important and getting Sentry tower up is really good. Also chariots and Charioty archers are extremely resistant to conversion by priests and do bonus damage so you want to convert yellow cavalry and with either your own cavalry or broadsword Kill chariots.

thank you kindly for this, I was struggling with de mission.

That sounds like a totally legit strategy to me. It's not an easy level by any means so well done!
Thank you for your videos!!
You're welcome! Glad you enjoy them!
It is one hell of an oddly satisfying video. :)))
This is the hard one escenario.... i just run to east and build a fort right there and then attack but took me two hours to done that!!! very job!!!

Yeah, it was one of the most difficult scenarios in the original version on hardest difficulty. Even with the reinforcements is a tough one though

Do you have all of the achievements for this game?
Do aoe2de with aoe1 dlc this map now blocks those reinforcement units behind walls and towers... Can the scenario still be done without them?
I plan to make videos about the entire campaign in AoE2: Return of Rome. Coming soon!
