  • The one and only hotel in North America. Based on videos I've watched, those used to be Montgomery Vectors and now they're modded by Otis Compass. The three cabs on the right serve floors BL (Ballroom Level) to floor 40 while the three on the left serve all floors, from the Garage level to floor 43. The destination keypad also displays four floors that people can quick select, which are Concourse (CL), Fitness (43), Eleve (42), and Lucerne (BL). I visited this place a few times when the top two floors are under renovation and the highest I could go to is 41. Also at that time, two of the four select floors are Ballroom (BL) and Edelweiss (42). This video will feature a full round-trip followed by a hallway walkthrough of one of the floors, by request from Sam Roman. In the middle of the video, I will be showing you the floors that don't exist in the system: 0, 1, 13. Basically, the display will say "Invalid Floor" when you enter those or when you enter any floor that is out of the range. If your enter the floor number that your are on, the display will say “Access denied”. Pretty strange eh? I will also be showing how smart this particular Otis Compass is. If you enter your destination and the elevator arrives and nobody steps in the cab before the door closes, well guess what? It'll cancel your destination and sit there until you enter a destination again. However, if you step into the cab and back out, it'll end up moving to your destination. Guess this one ain't that smart eh?
What did I think of this? Very small cab, but very smooth. The part that really confuses me and some other people is the fact that there's no floor 1 in the system, which technically is the lobby level. Usually when people use handicap mode, the elevator stalls for about 15 to 20 seconds longer than its usual stop time and pressing the door close button won't do anything. What surprised me is that when I call the elevator in handicap mode and spam the door close button in this particular Otis Compass, it ends up closing immediately, very interesting! That only works for some cabs though. Other than that, very nice elevator!
Got a request for an elevator/train ride in the Chicagoland area?
    Comment down below!
Some things to know when requesting:
    Only one request biweekly
Ride the Rail requests that take longer than 30 minutes to get from one station to another will take about 2 to 3 weeks to process
Elevator requests of residential complexes may not be guaranteed
If I happen to film your requested residential complex, it will be uploaded as an undisclosed location and I will not mention who requested that

I usually like otis compass, but not really these ones considering how rare the previous elevators were.
