Very interesting!
Appreciated.
that is inspirational.
Very kind, thanks.
I'm wondering because it's a hollow tube if you won't have problems with jamming as it ejects down the tube?
That is a concern I also have, but so far so good. The Delrin is pretty slippery.
Delrin is brass on steroids. LOL.
Thanks, Tom. Both materials cut like a dream and are a lot of fun to work with.
I hope this works out better and faster then the last project 😂 looking good.cant wach to see what it looks like
Thanks. It has been a long road figuring out how each piece of this project is going to go. It has been quite a few months. My lack of experience in automation design is probably showing.
Robert, how do you not look at the depth that the tool can go in? I would have ground a HSS blank or an existing HSS tool .. Not much cutting forces on delrin.. Same with describing the insert tooling.. no duh, it could not fit in. why even spend so much time talking about it.. we don't need to see that, we all knew it wouldn't fit.value wise, it was not that great talking about left and right.
Who died and made you king??😅
@@kentuckytrapper780right back at you. you don't see the irony of your statement?
Thanks for the feedback. I share my mistakes so others don't have to make them. At one point or another we've all been there.
Great video man, you get some interesting jobs, lol .I love machining delron, don't get to us it much, but enjoy it when I do..
Thanks. I really do love the challenges I het from this company. Problem solving is my favorite part of machining.
Few years ago my brother and I remodeled our parents media room. And it was the funnest thing trying to figure out cutting the crown molding on the chop saw. We figured it out but later on I learned the term “backwards and upside down” from a carpenter on RUclips.
Compound angles can be tough to figure out.
@@DudleyToolwright Its not just the compound angles, but also transposing it to a new coordinate system, but takes only one time to get it right. I take it you haven’t worked on it yet 😉
