i'm BACK after finally watching this scene in s2 and good god the way it's captured but also from aelwyn perspective specifically, my favorite part is how adaine killing her father isn't the focus of the last scene, it's aelwyn falling and adaine STILL coming back to get her. obsessed as i have always been when i found this months ago. incredible work incredible song choice all my praise
the way you’ve depicted this story isn’t just a replication but really heightens it and conveys the complex emotions behind their relationship. the song is perfect and your artistic choices add more content and color to already devastating scenes. plus the cinematic framing and transitions are everything i’d ever want. i’m in LOVE with this!
I honestly imagined it more as she hit him with so much arcane energy fueled by the fury that only someone fucking with your sibling can bring out, that it cracked and then shattered first the jaw, then the rest of his skull as he was flung back, skipping and breaking more bones, and the last thing he saw before he died was the daughter that he placed no hope in, deemed a failure, who had just dealt him a killing blow... not even give him a second thought. That his last thing before being sent to either the 9 Hells or the Abyss, was seeing how little he matted in the end, where not even his killer, his own daughter, was willing to give him a second thought. And that, seams like a fitting death for him, a footnote in his 'failed daughter's' story.
I may be wrong here, but didn’t she punch him, go to rescue her sister in a panic and ONLY AFTER THAT realise she straight up killed him? Or am I dreaming
