This song makes me yearn to see what John saw in heaven. I have suffered all manner of losses in life. I know the loss of health, relationships, material possessions and even loved ones. Every time I listen to this song, my thoughts turn heaven bound and imagine what it must be like where loss does not exist or pain! I long for the New Jerusalem, the city of God! It gives me hope to soldier on for the price is more than this world can ever give me. New Jerusalem, where the only visa that is required is accepting Jesus as Your Savior to receive everlasting life in that city! No sin and no loss..... Thank you for this song of hope and God bless your ministry.

I was homeless and without hope back in 2010 I had just gotten out of a mental ward and had no where to go so I ended up at the Rockford Rescue Mission in Rockford Illinois in the mens crisis part of the mission. Everyday before dinner time us in the shelter and also the public would be required to sit through a sermon before dinner either it was someone from the mission preaching the sermon or it was an outside evangelist or church that would come in... But I remember one day a woman from and outside church came in and sang this song.... I was touched in ways ive never known before and so the Lord began his work on me and I cant begin to explain the road ive traveled since then but I got rought to the Lord in 2013 and have been a Mighty work in progress sense... I love this song and thank you for allowing the Lord to use you to spread his message.... This song brought me to my knees.... Still does when I listen to it..

My dad’s name is John. He’s already sick for years, and a few weeks before he died he really like to play this song. We never knew this song is his sign that he wants to go home to heaven. He already knew his time is near, he was ready to go. I cry everytime I hear this song, but in the same time I’m glad he goes with joy. Bless you The Hopper

I was doing a bible study this morning about the rewards promised to be given to the redeemed saints. The New Jerusalem is one of the promises. Jesus said that He was going to prepare a city... the city that John saw. Immediately I heard this song in my mind and it is a blessing to have this promise beautifully done in a song. I sure want to run where the angels have trod, I want to rest on the banks of the river of life and eat from the trees whose leaves are for the healing of the nations. Jerusalem, the city of God will be my dwelling place. And God Himself will be there. There won't be a need for light because the Lamb of God will be The Light. Amen. Amen

I normally listen to the Gaither Vocal Band videos every day and have for over a year since I first discovered them "music video surfing" on here one bored-ish day - all years they've performed and all their different members and groups - and I happened upon this song, 'Jerusalem', a couple weeks ago. I've listened every day since! Love it! This and their version of 'Yahweh.' *WHAT a song!* Full of the promises of our amazing God! I should get around this You Tube to listen to and learn about the so many more Christian artists as they seem to have SO many wonderful songs to offer, testimonies that'll touch your hearts in so many ways and so many of the people themselves are just amazing! Connie Hopper, (mom) for example, has fought cancer *twice* and 35 years apart! Her strong faith in the Lord carried her through both times..I have faith, but I SO want a much, much stronger faith! Listen sometime to the video (here on You Tube) where Kim (daughter in law) gives her testimony about her daughter Lexi's birth. The Awesomeness of our God, and how He has us *exactly* where we need to be at the time we need to be there will blow you away! I could write a mini book here, (apologies for length!) but you get the gist. If you LOVE Gospel music, in all forms, as I do, it only shows that even if one group in your mind is pretty amazing, and there are dozens more out there, then take the time to listen to others and learn about other sisters and brothers in the Lord whose music lifts us up and touches our hearts for the Lord! Older Happy Goodman videos are also on here.. I don't believe a one of us who loves especially Southern Gospel will *ever* forget the Goodman family in general, but especially sister Vestal! WHAT a woman of God and that voice!! Now she's with Him, with sister Dottie Rambo and SO many more GREATS in the world of Southern Gospel music. TOO many to list..All those I list here are my current favorites, and I seek to learn more about other groups who have dedicated their lives to singing the Lord's praises and uplifting us ALL. May God continue to bless them all richly for the joy they bring to those of us who love them all. Want to see something really *amazing*? Google Dottie Rambo, and LOOK at the LONG list of all of the songs that lady wrote! Songs of worship and praise that are still so very much loved and are and have been sung by so many artists even today! Over 2000! Classics like 'Holy Hills of Heaven', In the Garden, I've Never Been This Homesick Before, and so many more! The Lord *truly* gave her words and lyrics to songs that bless over and over again. Bill and Gloria Gaither have written several, as has Mark Lowry. I really am sorry this is so long...this music is my passion, it increases more and more my love for my Savior, my God, my King! I can't say enough GOOD about all these artists - and they *ARE* artists - not an "Auto-tune" in the bunch. What you hear is what you get, and to me, that in itself is as amazing as it is rare. My special thanks to Bill Gaither (and Gloria!) those working with them, who without his expertise and for those who help him, their love for the Lord, we'd not have these uplifting, amazing videos to watch and listen to..renewing our hearts and minds in the love of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ! A few artists who Bill Gaither has "discovered," who have successful careers because he helped start them out: The Issacs, Sandy Patti, Steve Green, Guy Penrod, Michael English, and SO many more...Such blessings, such *gifts*!! My grandfather love this song so much. I played this song to him when he was very sick and he felt some sort of connection to this song and kept asking me to play this song over and over again😄 This song was his strength during his hard times. Today with a heavy heart I come back to this song and think of my grandfather who departed from this world and is now resting and singing this song with the Lord. This song has now become my strength I am able to look back and cherish the moments with him.
Grandpa though we didn't get to say our goodbyes, I will always cherish our memories spend together. Toured Israel in May this year - a pilgramage really - following the footsteps of Jesus... as we drove into the city our leader played this song... it was more than amazing. It has forever changed me. Seeing massive stones, praying at the Western Wall, and especially seeing children playing in the old city... yes, friends, this has changed my life. If you haven't been there, I certainly hope you can one day. Sing Hosanna to the King.
