A was walking towards by camp on a music festival, I definitely had a couple drinks to many, when I walked/jumped in to a guy, who almost spilled his beer.
We made sure we both were alright, and we started talking.. Which suddenly lasted hours.
We've been together for twelve years now, married and have a wonderful daughter.

I got a "cousin" story too.
I had gotten a pool cue for Christmas 2016. I went to a bar to try it out. There was a group of guys who were playing and one of the tables asked, "do you want to play next game" i said yes. me and the guy who talked to me played a few games. And sent Facebook friends requests by the end of the night. I added him and when I looked at his Facebook name i recognized his last name. I have an uncle who has the same last name. When i ran into him again at the bar, I asked him if he knew a guy with my uncle's name and he said, "yeah he's my uncle. " i responded, "he is my uncle too."
Wow! Lol. I’m terrified to meet that situation. My family tree reads like an Oak tree. Very big family (think Big fat Greek wedding). How ever way our last name is spelled, we’re all related and we all have extremely different looks (lightest to darkest complexions, every hair color, some of us look like we’re from a different nationality all together), so I always try to get a family tree comparison w guys I meet online…don’t want to wait til we’re making a seating chart 😂
I wish I would’ve seen this hashtag because I have a great one. I was on a date with a guy I had been seeing for a few months. We were sitting in his car and he looked deep into my eyes and said, “Have you ever loved someone so much it hurts?” I replied sensually, “Yesss”. @@waterlily85 I completely agree! But it does happen; families can have a fall out sometimes. I grew up an only child, had more siblings later, but was NEVER alone. Think Big Fat Greek Wedding…cousins EVERYWHERE. The holidays were the best because my dad is 1 out 10 and they all had up to 6 kids each between them; alone. Mom was 2 of 4..with up to 4 kids each between them too! With us having the tree and cooking, they all gathered at my house.

My cousin is Marc Colombo who played as a left tackle for the Bears and the Cowboys and is now a professional coach and I've only met him a couple times never been to a game he was playing or coaching. So she may not have ever had the chance to meet her second cousin
It happens. My cousin is married to Lenny Wilkens. He was the coach for Cleveland Cavaliers and the New York Knicks. He also played for the Knicks. I found that I had a cousin who played basketball for the University of Tennessee. And a cousin who played for the Oakland Raiders. I have never met them before.

That's so sad. Unless the man she believed to be her father is a jerk, then not being related to him might be considered a blessing. If he's an amazing guy, very painful for her and him and I'm sorry this happened around Christmas.
My sister’s friend had a knock on the door one Christmas and it was her Bio-Dad that she knew nothing about. Her Dad dad had died recently so I guess bio-dad thought it would be easier to come back into her life.
Her cousins didn’t know about her Dad not being her biological Dad but when it happened they suddenly started piecing together things that had been said, little comments or looks.
This happened to my family when I got a DNA kit for Christmas.

A woman I recently went to college with wanted to find out more about her father who did not live with him growing up. So she took a DNA kit and sent it in. A few months later she got the results back. It turns out her mother used a sperm bank and he was very popular and she has, no joke, 543 siblings! That is the story she will share forever. I don’t really know how the mom felt about it.

I grew up walking to school every day with a cousin I probably share 4% dna with at best. Here, we maintain family ties with people with whom we share a great great grandparent, lol.

most people don't know their 'Second' cousins. And to be honest, my first cousins didn't know I existed for ages as we all grew up in different countries.
My biological mother dated and was engaged to her first cousin for six months before she found that was related. He was her first cousin on her dad's side of the family. She was the 8th child out of nine. Her father would get her mom pregnant and then take off for a few years. My biological mother only knew a few of her first cousins on her dad's side of the family.
Turns he had another wife and 3 kids that lived about 15 minutes away.
Except when you're Middle Eastern and you have over a 100 first and second cousins and know each and every one of them in detail 🤣

Second cousins are the children of your parents cousins, if anyone was ever wondering your entire life what that means lol. It took me forever to figure out that my parents cousins are my first cousins once removed, not second cousins. Now one of them just had a baby so that baby is my second cousin.
Second cousins are your parents' cousins. The children of your parents' cousins would be third cousins.

One time in college, my then boyfriend invited me to dinner to meet his parents. His mom was my gynecologist. 🤦I immediately got a new one the next day.
Went to meet up with a guy I matched with online on our first date. The busy downtown area he chose had crappy parking. As I’m circling around meters for the 5th time, I saw a car door open thinking this person might be leaving; I honk my horn at the guy; suggesting in an are you leaving motion. He said “no, just pulled in”. I finally find parking just to meet up with THAT guy 🤦🏾♀️. He worked on his laptop most of that time 😑. He called me boring and I called him distracted and inconsiderate; “date” over.

I was once working at a restaurant as a Hostess and sat these two guys. One around my age and the other guy was clearly in his Mid 50s. I thought they were father and son. (They were Uncle and nephew) I thought the younger one was really cute and gave him a Restaurant coupon for his next visit.
On the way out i wanted to give him my number but had to take a phone call the same time they were leaving.
A few minutes later the 50 something year old uncle comes back in. He says to me, "I forgot something...your phone number. I thought we had a moment back there." I said, "I was actually flirting with your nephew" And proceeded to give my number to him so he could give it to his nephew. 😂😂😂😂

A second cousin is someone you share a great grandparent in common. For example, your grandma's sister's grandchildren. How many times do you go visit your grandma's sister's grandchildren? My grandma had about 8 brothers and sister's and she would talk about them but I don't think I ever met them or their grandchildren which would be my second cousins.

Was driving through some road construction late at night doing the normal speed limit. A car came up right behind, tailgating me. I got irritated & slowed to about 10mph. 3 miles later the road finally opened back up to 2 lanes and the tailgater flew around my car & sped off...it was a sheriff's suv! No lights or sirens so he couldn't have been trying to get anywhere, he was just impatient

I was riding my bicycle with my earphones in one day and noticed a man running towards me with some police officers about a 100m behind him. I was quite surprised at the situation got off my bike. As the man ran towards me I looked at him and said "what are you doing?". He stopped, and just stood there as if he himself didn't know. I told him all would be alright and he let the police arrest him without saying a word.
