One thing I like about Stephon Castle as a Spurs fan is that while he isn't super efficient offensively, he makes good reads and he gets to the free throw line, so he actually was good enough to be in the closing lineup against Houston and hit his free throws to help win the game, watch out for him in year 3 or so, he might be a scary all-defensive guard with a crafty offensive game to boot.
Ryan Dunn is the best player in this draft. So far in 4 games he’s been tasked with hounded harden, luka, and bron and has held them to 26% from the field
Jamal Shead Battle Mogbo have all looked solid and we haven’t even seen Jakobe Walter yet raptors look like they had a good draft so far even tho our team sucks lol
Our team sucks? IQ, Kelly O, Bruce brown , Jacobe Walter all haven’t played one game. Scottie is now out, RJ missed time. We haven’t seen “our team” yet. It’s not about this year anyways. It’s not about next year either. It’s 2027-2030 raptors will be pushing for the second round and east finals

Not a wizards fan, but I love the fact that sarr wants to shoot making it seem as he will eventually figure it out if his confidence doesn’t decline. Because unlike some (Ben Simmons ahem) players Sarr will get better with time and the non hesitancy to shoot is very positive
Stephon Castle has been phenomenal as a Spurs fan. He has crazy good vision and defense, along with finishing. He just needs to work on his jumper and he has a good FT so I think the 3 will come eventually
Risacher's defense has been excellent. The offensive problem is that he's not a creator, and the next 4 guys who were supposed to be the main ball handlers behind Trae Young are all hurt. Its been brutal watching the hawks these last few games after all the injuries
and guys like johnson or daniels barely pass him the ball too, but he s more a creator than people think, yet he can create his own shot and make good plays for the teams too
@@rogolloreacts4447 bub has been great, sarr looks good on defense but really struggling on offense, and I think George just needs to see some shots go on a little more consistent to figure some things out but looks like he can be a good role player.. y’all probably got the best class out of the draft
When you look at the wizards rookies they all look like they know what they are doing and pass they eye test when you watch full games but like with sarr the shot just needs to consistently fall thats really it right now
All these rookies with next to no playing time....NBA gotta do something about this. Teams already deep at various positions shouldn't be able to just "sit and stash" players indefinitely while waiting for trades & injuries to occur. Some of these guys could be impact players RIGHT NOW on the correct teams!
The league is so young that these picks are playing on teams where they're not the featured weapon. Everyone on their team is trying to establish themselves.
Worth noting, Hawks dealing with a ton of injuries. It’s obvious Zacc shouldn’t be starting. He should be able to develop off of the bench, but rn he’s being forced to start. For what it’s worth, Dominique Wilkins (albeit a bit biased) has been impressed on the broadcasts so far. I think we will see him improve as the year goes on.
Dalton Knecht is gonna be a Top 5 player from this class. If he was on a team like Detroit or Portland he’d be starting and averaging 12-14 ppg and shooting the cover off the ball. I think his role in LA is going to grow over the course of the season and obviously as his career progresses. He’d be getting more minutes even now if Rui wasn’t playing phenomenal ball as well.
This draft, or the narrative around this draft is going to shift GMs away from drafting 19 year olds. With the second apron it might make more sense to draft guys who are (or are perceived to be) ready to play in the NBA.
yeah that’s a good point but he can at least give him a chance to see if he’ll play defense. He also has a great personnel to lean on for tips and advice on Defense. I know ultimately it’s on him if he wants to compete on that side of the ball but he strikes me as a play who will buy in on that end to help the team
Love Risacher, a lot. Watch how quick, aggressive and feathery his steps are. He is the second coming of Kobe, and most can’t see it. Sarr is moving on after looking unpolished.
dude I love your videos but Clingan has been beast, I'm a big blazer fan, he's made an insane impact on defense and has shown his offensive rebounding skills, yes his playing time isn't a ton but still has been the best lottery pick
@@ginajyneen8868 DC is a good screen-setter, he's a good playmaker, he shoots 3s, and he gets second chance points. That's what you want from your big man on offense. I don't think he will ever be Embiid on offense, but he kills the minutes he gets.
@@gavihacohen He has only attempted one three all season! And he's not even a lob threat! No threat in the pick in roll, his only offense come off of offensive rebounds at this point.
McCain just got 30mins today partly due to injuries, but still. I think McCain is easily the best performing draft pick so far. He is destroying all of the other rookies in the stats per minute department. The craziest part is that he has yet to string all of his strengths together into a single game yet. One game he was cooking people on the drive every possession but not shooting many 3s. This last game his 40% 3pt shot started to come online including a no dip batum-esq 3pt shot, and deep 3s. Other games he has flashes of great playmaking and rebounding. He is currently 10/10 on freethrows, which is pretty normal for him as he was near 90% freethrow in college. If he was drafted by a rebuilding team he would definitely be a starter, the kid is NBA ready. Unfortunately thats not the case in Philly so its very unlikely that he will keep receiving a lot of minutes. Especially since the sixers have like 9 guards on the team that he has to share minutes with.
Donovan Clingan is playing 13 mins/game because he is not up to NBA levels of conditioning yet. He only played 20 mpg in college this past year, and NCAA has half as many games. You see him out there and he looks GASSED. His per-36 numbers are SILLY though. When his conditioning comes up to NBA level he is going to be an elite rim protector and the true defensive anchor that teams dream of, and he's not afraid to use his size to set hard screens. Rumor is that Portland would have taken him first overall if they won the lottery and you can see why when you watch this team every night.
Not to say that he won’t go on to have a good career, like you said only been 3/4 games so plenty of time. However, I always never understood the hype around Alex Sarr, being in number 1 pick conversations. To a different level, but I said the same about Ousmane Dieng and how high he went and some of the hype he had both from NBA fans and also in Australia (where I’m from) when both of these guys were horrible in the NBL. I don’t know why over the last couple years NBA scouts value NBL players very very high. Yes some of the talent have started their careers pretty well (Lamelo & Giddey) but they were genuine STARS in the NBL. Both Sarr and Dieng were never stars in the NBL. Idk weird to me. I really want to know what these scouts see in these NBL players to rate them much higher than I think they should be rated.
