This is the proper compost. You have had inoculated time, effort, care, patience and detailed explanation of little do's and dont's which are relevant for a good compost, txs.
@@RR-um9gr no, it's compost, which is a noun. Compose is a verb and it is used as in to compose a poem, a song etc. You may look up the dictionary if you wish.
It works very well. Especially for liquid fertliser. I am using liquid fertiliser since long because I have few pots. Also i have small compost bin. You can use one full blue drum and one half blue drum with tap below the bigger drum. Size you can try.
@@vilasbhaijadhav1862there are two scenarios. First if you want to fertlise every week with liquid fertliser collected from kitchen waste which is still under pilation in a bucket, there is still smell But once your kitchen waste bucket is full and u had kept it aside for conversion into compost, in such a case after one month liquid fertiliser does not smell. I collect kitchen waste in a 5 litre suffola can once 5 litre of liquid fertliser is collected and keep it for 15 days with holes in the lid of suffola can. It does not smells in my small balcony and after 15 days i start fertlising it in 1:5 ratio. It very effective. It not only fertilises but also prevent disease in plant. Actually the more variety of vegetable and fruit there is the more powerful fertliser it is. I drop everything in my bucket except cooked food. I also collect tea waste and dry it in sun and Use it as fertliser. But sometimes it succeeds and sometimes fails perhaps may b when not fully dries up. Finally after a year i have succeeded in kitchen waste compost as well which was always smelling. But always there is smell in kitchen waste. The only way to prevent smelling is dry leaves. But still it will smell after next or two to three days and there is another disadvantage of dry leaves that it delays your composting a little bit. So there is no solution to prevent smelling of kitchen waste. Only once when it is completely filled and kept aside with holes in the sides or lid or bottom. You may shake it with closed lid, in that case it will not smell except the situation when you take your nose to the hole. Composting is much easier when you cut kitchen waste into very small pieces with a scissor which I am doing. This is for your guidance. I have written all this to have suggestions from all who read this so that I can get much success in composting. But liquid fertiliser from kitchen waste is best. If you wish u can go ahead. No smell and safe. Another thing is that in the bucket where you collect kitchen liquid fertliser/waste there should be quite good number of holes at the sides. There will not b any smell.

Hi, thank you for a very well presented educational video! I had heard that one can use a small quantity of dilute buttermilk to encourage compost formation, is this true? Also, I find quite a few ants in my compost. Is that ok?

making compost is actually a lazy process too so anyone can try it۔ You don't have to do anything extra, just keep a bin where you store green waste and another with holes where you dump that waste and brown ratio just once a week. you can do it too!!

Mam....i am so inspired by your compost video and it is soooo clear with all dos and don'ts. I started making compost a month back in huge bin. Hardly one fourth filled now everything was going fine but today I saw a fat white worm and one tiny green worm like we see in green peas or cauliflower. Its really worrying. The water has been collecting down in my bottom bucket. And it is quite mushy state only. Will the whole compost go waste now due to worm infestation or is there some way it can still be saved ? Sometimes I used to notice that after 4-5 days there is sort of white fungus on the dried leaves i had put. But when i mix it up it goes away. It is very hot and humid here in Chennai and 4-5 days gap seems to be too much for stirring. Will stirring frequently in 2-3 days help to prevent thi ? Main thing i need to know is should i throw away this half done compost now since i saw a worm or is there some way to protect it ? I am using red soil and vermicompost along with dry leaves. Kindly help
