    +TheHunterGT... I wanted to thank you for all of your videos/reviews! I had almost purchased the Land Ranger Pro, but pulled the trigger this evening and purchased the Fisher F44!! Can't wait for delivery! This has got to be my favorite MD review channel!! Before I made my final decision, I watched your vid on the review of the F44 model, and others, of course, but got the most info needed to make my final decision from your vids!!
    Thanks again!!

    Nice finds bro. I love detecting those old schools. It's amazing how much stuff will come out of the ground at a spot like that. Best of luck on your next hunt!

      Thanks man...right back at ya. A different school we hit yesterday just scored my wife 2X wheat pennies. She was pretty stoked. Hoping for silver soon from it.

    Go detecting after a good rain when the soil has had a chance to soak up the moisture. I've read that you'll get better depth in moist soil, at least it seams to work here in Idaho with my T2. HH&GL.

    Idea -- when hunting around trees -- re-balance your machine. The network of tree roots will contain fluid - that the open ground will not have,

    hey hunter know this is an old vid but i just bought a f22 with the big 11 dd coil from kellyco for 215 did i make a good purchase based only that i demand somethin rainproof and how would it compare to the f44 performance wise with the big coil

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  6 лет назад

      $215 for the F22 with the 11DD coil is a steal...you did damn good. It doesn't have ground balance or all-metal....but in disc mode there will only be a 1-2 inch difference between them. Both very light weight...weatherproof...run off 2XAA batteries.

    First time watcher, the Huntertown. Great video of the old school...and yes, "Nectar in the hole baby", by the drive by boys was awesome, I could not stop laughing. GT, please I hope this will not be a long and drawn out, but I need help.
    I have just purchased the F44, and so far she seems to be great. But I do have questions and although there are many videos I have seen and many different detectorists out their that I could ask question from, I thought that I would choose you seeing that the grass at the old school is just like mine.
    We have many styles of grass here and what we call CRAB GRASS, here with the roots that feel like peices of wood, looks like the one you were hunting in. With that said, you touched on a little of what I am interested in, so I thought I would ask one question of you and see if we can build on a detector relationship. When you placed you're finger on the same elliptical coil that you were using with the Fisher, the one that comes stock on the 44, you mentioned that where the hole is in the center of the coil should be the area where you should dig, because that would be the center of where the target is located and where the Fisher pointed it out to be. Is that where you normally find the coil to be the exact position to dig?
    The reason I'm asking is because another detectorists stated that the coil could also be manually digitized so that the coil could be "centered out" at the front of the coil, at the end or rear of the coil and of course at the center as you stated. Have you found this to be true?
    I hope that you can answer this question as I am very interested in detecting, but I am also a scuba and snorkler and not only want to enjoy the dirt, but am also into the water.
    I can be reached by phone and would to speak to you if possible. Or would love to contact you by email.
    I live in Florida, but I will soon be living in Brazil, at a Beach town where I have met a man that made his own detector, from scratch, showed me his findings at his home and was so excited that he met an American that loves detecting.
    If interested I can send some of our Brazilian coins to you and you can help me by burying them and seeing if you can get signals at the different Modes from the Fisher 44. I know the mineral from our dirt is different from theirs, but I thought you could help me by seeing if I am not going crazy hearing the different signals coming from the coins at the different modes. If you get the same signals then I am not going crazy, but if you get the same wacky signals I am getting then I know it is either different minerals or some other wacky thing going on. I thank you in advanced and hope we can keep in touch.
    Thank you

    I've been watching a lot of your videos. do you prefer the F44 or Land Ranger Pro?

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  7 лет назад

      Sorry Billy I just saw this. I do prefer the LRP due to the finer adjustments...but the F44 is VERY similar as far as performance. Plus it is weatherproof (not waterproof). I dislike rain so LRP for me.

      Yeah that's pretty decent with 2 coils. They are $599 retail and a extra coil is $100+ Maybe talk him to $450...
      Never used one but hear pretty good things about them.

      Heya Tim...nice seeing you here on RUclips as well. We live out east in a small town called La Junta. It means "The Junction" as this is where the Santa Fe Trail and railroad split to Santa Fe and then west off to Pueblo/Denver.
