It’s a BIG deal if you’re over that wall without permission.
Absolutely. You don't see it much in most forms of Motorsports, as in many of the competitions they run in, it's actually a disqualification to the driver for "breaking the harness" (seatbelt) or, sometimes, both breaking the harness and existing the vehicle, when the vehicle you're in isn't in danger or involved in a serious accident (for example, you're not on fire) all these things and more, can get you disqualified in some brands of Motorsports.
@@frenzalrhomb6919 And it often makes perfect sense, driver who wanted to help have lost their lives. After all they are still in a race, even with a yellow flag.
@nyftn No, it's certainly not the safest of ideas, but it is quite understandable on a human level. But I must add that I mostly attend the Speedway, and I only ever used to go to Oran Park Raceway every once in a blue moon, but I as I said, I'm mostly a Speedway fan. Now, about the only time you will see someone actually leave a vehicle to assist with a crash, is with the "full course red," or, more commonly, in the Motorcycle classes (Solo and Sidecars) you'll find it occurs far more often in those divisions, probably because of just the fact that their on bikes and not strapped in a car.
@rainerziehtkatapultenachgo9001 You're absolutely right. Lives have been lost in the past because of well-meaning fellow competitors who've seen a horrific incident, and their natural human instincts overrides their better nature takes them over and they will get straight out of their own car in an effort to give assistance to a fellow competitor, even if it's a foolhardy attempt.
Agreed. It should be even easier, as track marshalls like this usually are volunteers. These guys should never volunteer again. Edit: What's even worse is that the guy closer to the camera is holding the yellow flag and is the communicator to central race command. The way they have that set up, he either is expected to wave the yellow and call the incident in, or he is requiring his co-marshal (who is running blue flags), to drop his flag and pick up the extra yellow flag. Its embarrassing all around. From the flag waving I've done at club racing events, if you can't see the incident due to smoke, dust, or even a fence, you immediately go to a waving yellow out of an abundance of caution.
@@juliensimracer if that's your argument why even be a marshall? "well...debris is visible, they don't need no yellow flags, it's not like its my job anyway"

It is completely unacceptable for that car to slam into the sideways car at the top of the mountain after so much time had passed since he spun. Where's the flags? Where is his team telling him he needs to be tight to the left side of the road through there? It's a known issue with sideways cars there and it has to stop.
There actually wasn’t that much time, probably 15 to 20 seconds. Communication and footage aren’t as advanced as in higher categories, and visibility in that part of the track is bad.
@@Poepvinger030 I fail to see why you would want to make excuses for this.
