13:12 The image of the giant aquarium (AquaDom Berlin) is subtitled incorrectly. The elevator was inside the tank. Unfortunately, in the freezing early morning hours of December 16, 2022 the tank ruptured and entirely collapsed, flooding and devastating the atrium of the hotel in which it stood and the water gushing out into the streets outside the building. Most of the exotic fish perished. Because this happened so early in the morning, there were fortunately no human fatalities. It was later decided to not rebuild the aquarium. More info on Wikipedia.

7:15 Dresden-Neustadt = the "new quarter" (Neustadt = new town) built back in the 18th and 19th century and less bombed than the older parts of Dresden at the other bank of the Elbe in WW II.
8:00 Bad Vilbel near Frankfurt is an old spa with mineral water springs (as the railway was built 1848/49 they found Roman thermal baths with a mosaic which can now be viewed in "Hessisches Landesmuseum Darmstadt" (Hessian state museum in Darmstadt, the former capital of the Landgraviate of Hesse-Darmstadt). The mineral water is also sold as bottled sparkling water.
    12:27 That is in Frankfurt.
16:01 Gesellenstück translates to Bachelor's piece. In the UK "Handwerksgesellen" are called journeymen, because the tradition was (and is still in some crafts) they go on a journey after they got their bachelor's letter (diploma/license) to learn about how things are done elsewhere. After the journey they can apply for the master's exam, which includes a Meisterstück (masterpiece) as practical test.

Greetings and Love from Germany again. Well, you will be disapointed if you watch a video of the house that plays music when it rains. Cause it doesn't really play music. There is a sign on the house that says "Regenwasserspiel"
(Rainwaterplay). The owner never said it plays music.
So everyone who watched a video went mad in the comments cause theres no music to hear. But what you can hear, if you are a 'nature boy', is the beautiful sound of nature, rain. Ok, it sounds like 15 men are peeing together😅.
It is also bout the wonderful Installation.

6:14 getting clean is hard in the best of times.
it gets even harder if you're :
    - miserable
    - financially insecure
    - without stable daily routines
    - living paycheck to paycheck
    - can't plan into the future
    - are unemployed
    - ill both physically or mentally
    - without shelter
    - without friends
    - scorned by society
    - can't find help or a way out
someone who's unhoused will have most if not all of these issues.
wanting to get clean is so hard and far down the priority list, requiring it first is putting the cart before the horse.

Ah yes. Back when we had a Kaiser, he told the railway that the bridge over the Rhine to the main station should lead directly toward the cathedral (to show it off). This is why to this day, the main station in Cologne is built with this awkward curve because, obviously, it can't continue through the cathedral, and there isn't all that much room. The bridge (actually three similar but not identical touching steel bridges) has 6 tracks and, if I recall correctly, over 1000 trains per day. (Obviously, most are local.)

Frieberg, where Elvis served, has a big castle with an university inside. It's nice and worth a visit... Not only is spaghetti ice cream a particularly German thing... No! The ice cream is also woodruff ice cream. Something that is practically only known in German-speaking countries. I have loved woodruff ice cream since I was a toddler...
