the awesome thing about the cross over is that it beats any g shock watch hands down. has everything you need . i own a 1k worth of enduro 2. and this one basically does what that does minus the build and some features. don't sleep on any garmin watch. they all are awesome.
"most people are going to know what day of the week it is" any more than the month or day of month? I'd argue the month is less useful considering it only changes 11 times a year
I think that it’s funny that I would upgrade (if they made a smaller version) only for the simpler watch faces. Rocking Instinct 2S Solar here, mostly one of the analogue watch faces with either day/night or the date in the circular data field.
Great video - i haven't seen the watch faces on this watch covered as well as you so here. I agree with many of your critiques - Garmin needs better designers on their Instinct series of watches, which are otherwise great.
I've had it for a month now and seem to like it well. However, why don't they have a button or commbination fo rmove the hands to 3 and 9, and why no button of hotkey that simply shows battery level..The 2 watch faces I like the best do not hve a battery level data field.

Retired people and self employed can easily lose track of day of week.
I feel like it targets people who would rather have a regular watch but don’t miss out on smart features. So simple watch faces make a lot of sense.

Never to going to give you everything, because you would have no reason to upgrade or downgrade!

All depends on what you use, I use moon phase on a daily basis so yes for me it is an important feature to have on the watch face.
