I really really really want to like this figure more than I do. I have multiple Weta 1/6th, and an Iron studios version...(Spent HEAPS over the years).. but the best detail in sculpt and accuracy is one I have found is only going to cost $119... it's the new Gandalf coming out very soon on Weta's site. It's cheap, it's small..but its accurate. And at the end of the day that's what I personally want. It makes my whole 1/6th Gandalf sculpts look ~average really.
With this Asmus one the rigidity of the clothing has ALWAYS been an issue and ultimately makes them all just look like dolls. The detail is there, but because it's not draping like it should, ruins it for me. There has to be a better fabric out there.
His face sculpt is quite good... but again ASMUS and so many other figure builders should give him some kind of facial expression.
The best part is the metal sword.
