When it comes to the cookie mom, the guy is the asshole not because of the rejection, but he has no care for his wife’s feelings. Telling her to suck it up, and just go just says that he is a mamas boy and will never be on the wife’s side. It’s all about how he treated her feelings not the cookie, so he is a asshole in this moment.
Then again, he's known his family way longer than his wife, so maybe he felt he had to be on they're side. I'm not saying he was right to do so. What else could he have done? Go without her? Stay with her? Whatever he does, someone will call him the butthole. I was raised by a similar dad, so I guess I just have a higher tolerance for it. But If I was married, I honestly don't know what I'd do in this situation.
@fenton993 I get that, but in the grand scheme you should have your wife's back. Ibdealt with this similar thing and it taught me to support my wife because family is kinda nuts.
@@tadlambert7121 I'm not married, and probably never will be, but I agree with you. But out of curiosity, what would you have done if you had to deal with that scenario? I feel like I'd just stay behind with her, Not only would that increase my bond with my wife, but maybe even cause the family to not be so harsh to her.

For the first one why not solve it by having the deserts submitted unanimously. That way the mother won't know who is making what until after she has already chosen the desert. At least then the wife won't have to worry about being singled out.
But she's not being single out they state that the husband's brother's wife has also been rejected.
@GutsTheCaptain maybe but by having it submitted without names there will be no more confusion. She won't be able to say she is being singled out.
For the “hair bear” one, I do think it’s a little weird and definitely should have been talked about before hand, but I just wanted to say that they do make dolls using human hair. It used to be a lot more common and I think it would sometimes be the owner’s hair (to make it look more like them, I assume). So maybe this was a tradition that was picked up back when that was more popular. I suppose they could not have been able to afford the doll being made or something like that? I’m not sure but I felt like that might be relevant

The cookie mom one is actually kind of weird... why is everybody in the family trying so desperately to please the mom? If I'm the wife and my cookies got rejected a few times, I'll just stop making. My family members don't like some of my cooking, and I'll just be like "yeah everybody like different things" and won't care about it so much. Their family is more like a cult in a way, like if you make bad cookies, you will displease the gods and lose the chance to be enlighten or some shit.
Not sure why you got that out of it; it's like Bob said, it's only the daughters in law that were singled out, and unless somehow you don't know and are lucky, daughter in laws and mother in laws sadly have a reputation of not getting along because said mother in law just doesn't accept them as part of the family and can be shown through various levels. Such as rejecting the daughter in laws desserts.
It's not solely about the desserts, it's something else that happens to affect other parts.
Could be looking too deep into it, but mother in laws heavily disliking and even hating daughter in laws happen
@@danmakes2497 Well yeah it is very common that they don't get alone. I just don't want to judge the situation based on something not mentioned in the story. If her mother-in-law only reject her dessert, then that thing by itself isn't something big.🤷♂

@@kyralindsey5885 It is a possibility, but there are no decisive evidences to prove that. I think no matter what, the mother-in-law has her right to like/dislike any cookies based on her preferences, and that's her own opinion. Maybe the cookies are a very important part of their family tradition, and from what Bob said it seems the mother-in-law is more accepting when it comes to other dishes like salad? Obviously there are a lot of missing details in the story, but "your mother-in-law hates your cookies" by itself doesn't sound like that big of an issue that I have to cry over it and refuse to go to family dinner.

That second one, I wouldn't mind the bear itself. The husband going ahead first with the tradition is a bit problematic. But I agree, its EXTREMELY CREEPY. That's how you get some generational curse! Great Great Grandmammy with her hair-weaving eternal youth!
How creepy can it be? People used to use hair make stuff all the time. As long as it’s clean, and processed properly
@@Sirawxy Exactly, it's not really creepy, just unexpected and a bit strange. She clearly overreacted which might be a red flag for that marriage. I can imagine her going off the deep end about all kinds of things.
I think the only real problem with it is just the fact that he didn't bring it up beforehand, like he was trying to keep it a secret. But, some people can also be really grossed out by hair (I've gotten countless "That's gross" comments regarding the bag of my own hair I kept after getting it cut 3 years into growing it out)
@@SirawxyTrichophobia, or the fear of loose hair, is a more common phobia than you would think. Not saying the wife has it, but there are a lot of people that would see this and see it as 'gross'. I mean, just watch Mark's reaction when first hearing the bear. It's just a matter for that person and how they feel about it, which is why it should have been brought up before.
@tomanderson2709 And like Mark said, she came back with the same amount of energy he brought into it and she had to make a stance since there was 'no' warning. Was it too much of reaction, maybe. But it was hardly the first domino that led to this scenario.
That's the thing though, aside from dead hair being gross. The thought of Storing and Reusing a bit of someone elses body!

the meat is the best part of the diet and has everything you need as long as you are eating good eggs and butter. raw milk helps a lot too. Tears and strains from working out is properly just from over straining which is terrible for us. seems why so many lifters get messed up.

I'm gonna say that the last one the dude is definitely the a$$#@!&, but I'm thinking what more likely happened with the CVS thing is that he was a Pharmaceutical Tech and she heard Pharmacist bc she didn't know what that was.
He had to have been walking out of the house in scrubs. I think that was communications breakdown. He clearly is a sociopath and a pathological liar, but I believe the job situation was a communications breakdown.
My brother is a Pharmaceutical Tech who worked at CVS for a while until he moved on as a tech to work elsewhere. People always mistaked him for a Pharmacist, including family. He would correct them and say, "No, I'm a Pharmaceutical Tech" and they would be like "Eh, tomato/ to-mah-toe" and it's like "Na, BIG difference"
Techs are awesome though, and deserve respect. They do have a lot of training and are responsible for a lot of the Pharmacist's delegated tasks.
Still they had on the job training, and a Pharmacist went to medical school. That is the difference.
