Hey kenneth, thanks fr the awesome videos. Just wondering I'm actually looking for a comfortable tws that i could wear for a long time. Any ideas on which model you can recommend?
I think we need 3 One in ear, one half in ear and ones over the ear Over the ear( head phones) to use at home. In ear to excerise and half in ear for everyday use outside home.
The thing is, I have small ears and in-ear doesn't fit in my ears. It hurts whenever I try to put the silicone thing inside. That's why I always go for half in-ear instead 😭
It's a half in ear for me when out and about and iem's for home listening. I love my cheap and cheerful Soundpeats True air 2. I have them in all day and don't experience any discomfort and sometimes forget they are there. The sound quality is fantastic and they are superb for phone calls. Bass and volume are also very present too. All for £25. Unbeatable for the price in my opinion.
@@user-mj8to5wi4b if you are used to an in ear bud they will give you the feeling of being insecure as they don't apply pressure to the ear canal however you will find they stay put once in the ear. They will fall out easily if knocked or you run with them in.
One of the most important video about earbuds. I prefer Half in year, after using Sony wf 1000xm3 and airpods pro... I prefer using my OLDER Half in ear ONEPLUS BUDS in office, i can receive calls, talk to others very comfortably .. For calling purpose Half in ear always
Thank you so much for this. I wanted to get a pair of half in ear earbuds. But I didn't know what they were called until I saw this video. But my main purpose was for using them when I make calls too while I'm out as that's it. So thank you this was helpful.
I love half in Ear earbuds more than in-ear earbuds. They are better in my opinion, I believe that because they can be tough to fit in your ear at times but when you do the half-in earbuds are not going anywhere and they are comfortable. Half-in earbuds are a bit safer for your ears, the reason for that is because they do not push earwax in your ears as much as in-ear earbuds. I prefer half in-ear earbuds more than in-ear earbuds but no hate or anything like that I am just expressing my opinion and not to mention there are situations that in-ear earbuds are better than half-in ear earbuds or vice versa!
It depends. For gym earbuds yes they need to be in ear. For using on my computer/TV I want the half ear design. For wearing one earbud at a time I also much prefer half ear design. And I 100% agree with everything you said especially the part about eating. Bought a cheap pair of in ear for my apple TV and then realized I use it alot when I eat and it was a mistake.
My problem is that I just dont like silicone in my ear, i find it to be very uncomfortable. Ive had half in-ears all my life, and itll probably stay that way
U explained it so beautifully, i just want a pair of tws which feels like i am hearing it from my phone speakers but at the same time won't disturb others and so it's half in ear for me
Your reviews are by far the most thorough and with quality descriptive communication. Thank you. Good music quality and noise cancelling is mandatory. What gets confusing is the variables in reference to noise cancelling and the most effective buds for pedestrian use, meaning having calls whilst walking next to traffic.
@@namedkennthe only half in ear design that gives tremendous bass even though it's open design, is of course the airpods 3rd generation. With it's alien head style shape, this is one of the best design I've ever seen, even without the silicone tips, the sound is pretty similar to the pro 2. Even airpods gen 3 clones from porodo, celebrat and haino teko have an astounding sound, battery life isn't the greatest (5 hrs on 70 percent) but the sound quality is definitely here
It's probably preference, I love half in ear, doesn't feel uncomfortable vs in ear TWS You will lose noise cancellation but I want comfort than silence.
I have both, sound experience and quality is better on in ear. I often use the half in for comfort, in ear hurts when I put them on and when I take them off. Love your review sir! Congrats 👏
Great tips Kenneth. You show exactly why I like having a good supply of both types for different applications for all of the reasons you gave here. However, I don't think that ambient mode, even a good one, helps occlusion too much because while it does pass sound through, it does nothing to mitigate the bone-conducting sound from your own voice. To me, that's unfortunately the worst part about the occlusion effect! When on the phone, I much prefer my cheapest TWS, the Sounpeats TrueAir 2. They also have the slimmest case of all the buds I own.

I like half in-ears TWS like Xiaomi Mi Air2 SE (a.k.a. Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic or Mi AirDots 2 SE), because of ability to hear sound around me and for better comfort, i do not mind of lower sound quality.

The silicone on them had a weird shape so I went with foam but feel like bass suffered.
I've tried tons of half ear desings (cause the rubber it's quite unconfortable for me and they almost always fall) In the half ear design and cheap but extremely good sound I reccomend the Razer hammerhead true wireless (the one's with the half in ear design) just change the profile to "more bass" and they are extremely good sounding, I mean I just bought more expensive in ear and I've been tunning them up and equalizing them to sound better and it's hard but I got a decent sound, but nothing compares to the excelent base of the razer and the overall open feeling that it provides so you feel the sound more open and natural
It's probably just my ears but half-in earbuds never stay in my ears. At least not any budget brand. They're always too loose and fall out quite frequently. And outdoors, I can barely hear whatever I'm listening to. That's why in-ear works best for me. I guess it always depends on the size and shape of our ears.

I recommend the Soundpeats TrueAir2, got the review up already 😁
@@namedkenn but this is not neckband earphones is it?
Wait sorry I missed the neckband there, unfortunately I haven’t reviewed any so I can’t help you with that
@@namedkenn umm well please try to tell
I just dont wanna feel that stuffed ear canal feeling...its just annoying
How about microphone quality of each type?
These designs don't really determine mic quality, generally it's good to assume earbuds with stem are better because the mic is slightly closer to your mouth
"in ear" for music, while "half in ear" for phoning, zoom, meet, classroom, interviews and music
TL;DR 👍🏻
Half in war gave me a pain like hell... Do i know what was the reason... I feel comfortable in ear bt buds🙄 for the 1st time i bought half in ear i was not able to touch my war after using it for 20-30 min.
When I'm using in ear earbuds, my ear is irritating and filling the earbuds with earwax. Is half earbuds have the same issue too?
Less likely, because they only sit on the outer part of your ear, not inside the ear canal
Selamat pagi Kenn, boleh kasih rekomendasi wireless earbus price below 2juta.. i'm looking sound character seperti bowers wilkins dan bisa dipakai untuk main game juga dengar fitur low latency.. terima kasih
@kenneth tanaka next best budget anc with transparency mode
*What gaming tws do you recommend bro?*
Tws aren't made for gaming. Go for wired.
Or if you are okay with minimal latency, check out my channel playlist "best for gaming"
@@namedkenn that can work too. 😊
@@namedkenn tysm bro❤
