We're definitely an enthusiastic fanbase when it comes to people discovering XG's music, that's for sure. I think the majority of us are kind of going crazy, yelling into the wind "why aren't they bigger?" most of the time. It's so frustrating because everything they've done is so quality. Because they promote in SK for the most part, and K fans tend to be harsh or outright ignore artists from Japan (historical stuff, I get it), we cling on to every bit of exposure they can get. Keep singing the gospel of XG man, your videos are great!
This song was in the top ten for US Radio airplay for a short time and spent a few months in the top 100. This was their biggest international hit to date.

Lots to say about this ALPHAZ favorite classic XG track. This dropped "sort of" as a "b-side" along with their iconic "Shooting Star" back in late Jan/early Feb. But it became so popular XGALX released it with an MV. And it just blew up. To date, even with XG's amazing catalogue so far, this is their biggest charting U.S. hit and got U.S. Top 40 radio airplay for weeks. They were the first Japanese group ever to accomplish that. It charted on the U.S. Pop Radio Chart Top 40 for 13 weeks which was an all-time record for "any" Asian girl group ever. Even R&B legend CIARA & Jackson Wang himself jumped on the official remix and the two of them performed part of it at Coachella. There is even a clip of Charlie Puth from literally just a couple days ago of him listening to & playing a snippet of "Left Right" and he loved it & was surprised he had never heard of it. Rolling Stone Magazine has it at #77 for the best songs of 2023. It also made the 2023 lists for Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal and ELLE.
All I know if XG still doesn't get the global recognition they so much deserve yet in terms of #s. Their sub counts on YT & socials should be like double even triple where they are now easily.
This is the best XG song. My opinion.
Left Right was a B Side track for Shooting Star, and didn't even have the official MV. The first release was a live stage version in Jan, and everyone loved it even though it did not have the official MV- this official version came out almost 2 weeks later in Feb. 😊
They genuinely enjoy what they are doing. Those smiles are all authentic. They have behind the scenes footage’s on all their MV’s and they are having such a great time. Nothing is forced to them

I actually cried the first couple of times I watched this MV and I still get emotional when I listen to the song. It brings me back to early morning music videos on TRL and MTV while we ate breakfast before going to school. It makes me relive the best (and often, most comforting) parts of my childhood.
With Left Right XG became the first Japanese female artists and first Japanese group to make the US Mediabase radio top 40 charts where it spent 14 weeks with a peak position of number 25. Only Asian girl group to spend more then 10 consecutive weeks until Fifty Fifty also did with Cupid.

Not sure if you can react to their live recordings, but video "XG, LEFT RIGHT [THE SHOW 230228]" hits so differently with audience energy and you can tell these girls are working but make it look so easy. Talk about 90's vibes the group took me back to TLC days. Maya is channeling Chili for me.
7:53 by the time you finish watching their docu series, you’ll see how their producer Simon always lets these girls have fun with their music. While other companies mostly hustle for gaining money and popularity fast, dismissing the fact that their employed idols are still human after all, XGALX values more on humanity, love and an elevation for musical culture. That’s why I love XG. These girls are fed and treated well by Simon and their team.

When I first saw the music video for Left Right, I thought the radiant and colorful lights were like jamiroquai A funk odyssey. Both of them are so cool because they both have a space theme to their worldview, but with black music at the root of it.

I am convinced that this is their favorite song to perform. From their dance practice to performing it live, they look like they are having the time of their life. When they did their showcase in Japan, they ended with this song.

This is definitely one of my favorites from them. The remix with Ciara and Jackson Wang is great too. Definitely check out VOX 5 for a great showing of the vocal line. Also when you decide to do GRL GVNG, make sure you do both the video (insane visuals) and the dance practice or ASL version for the full song, the MV is abridged. Also TGIF shows how multi-genre they are and New Dance too. Also this song is on my gym playlist.

This track was released quite a similar timeline with Shooting Star. I prefer shooting star slightly more than this, its kinda like showcasing XG more as a new group back than. Cause Tippy Toes and Mascara was release just like that to shock the world and the impact wasn't as big. Hence, when shooting star was debuted it blew my mind 1st following up with left right is the after mindblown follow up mind blow But I noticed many reactors loved left right more.
