@@samlosco8441 honestly, it is a compelling argument, with full equality and investment from whatever developed country owns it, an African Colony could theoretically become prosperous and as developed as Europe or North America

And the IMF and world bank still uses debt traps, lobbying and unfair trade agreements to keep african continents economically dependent from europe and america.

@@pocketmarcy6990 There is literally no incentive for european countries to do that. In capitalism you seek profit, not development. African countries are still economically exploited by european/american corporations and states. They granted independence and then used soft power alongside interventionism to keep them subservient. France killed 30 african presidents since 1960, belgium CREATED the tutsi/hutu ethnic division and america literally tortured to death the author of this video's quote, Patrice Lumumba.
Right wing "historians" always conveniently the forget profit incentives european countries had, which made them oppress and keep african countries exploited in order to achieve economic imperialism. NATO wants money. Be it blood money or not, they will do anything to achieve it. Direct political control over africa would be a disaster.

@@tiagomd3811 Europe has better things to do than exploit former colonies. Not saying they don’t, but yeah it probably wouldn’t work on a large scale, say like, the EU sets up a sort of mandate in EQ Guinea or Djibouti, invest moderately in the area, develop urban centers, fund education, try and relieve poverty, it could become stable and prosperous after a few decades, provided the Djiboutians or some other government doesnt sabotage their efforts. Would any modern European country actually do this? As in investment and such, no, probably not they would try, but unless a ludicrous amount of things go perfectly, it would fail

Total OFN victory is highly advised when you play as USA. Stay for a bit until the stability hits 1 and withdraw immediately after it. Staying longer would hurt your party popularity.

Yes you can you can choose to brake up the mandatory in to smaller ones which iv found to work better

The best guide for the Mandates is: wait until the devs fix them. They were released far too early, and were so buggy on launch that it's hard to tell how much of the current mess is intentional design, or just more bugs.
