Whoa. I feel totally seen. I’m 38 and can relate heavily to you. I’ve worked many jobs. They all seem different but Im going to deep dive more into them to see the commonalities. In my more recent work, my mother scoffed and said, “you don’t know what to do with your life.” I get it from almost everyone in my family and friends. I didn’t stand up for myself. I want to do that going forward.
Thank you for sharing, @GingerMobley! Yes, I encourage you to map out your different channels of interest like I did... you might find it provides some valuable insights. Good on you for deciding to stand up for your unique way of being.
In the exact same place as you are. Except your mother is my own internal narrative…from the narrative I was given by my family growning up, so, I guess still same?
This resonates. Very nicely presented too. I've explored so much, but only in my head. I've been unable to produce any actual results, just decades of analysis paralysis. I've spent so long in a dead end, mind numbing profession that I now feel incapable and too old to change my life (I'm 47). I ignored the signs to change things around ten years ago when I was in a stronger place. All I hear from my soul is that almost everything drains me, or just feels neutral. I'm at a loss, but your suggestion aligns with what else I've been hearing and feeling lately - meditate, listen to my higher self etc. Maybe there is a path for me, but in any case I know the one I'm on isn't working.
Thank you @unclepigg for the nice words, and for sharing vulnerably. I've seen people of all ages go through pretty remarkable changes. In my opinion...the fact that you are hearing a message from your soul that there is some incongruence showing up in your life, means that there is a vital force within you that sees what is possible (beyond your rational mind). Feel free to check out my online course. It's all about establishing a mind-body connection to get out of rational analysis paralysis and listen to what your body knows. kindreds.us/uwfs Inside of my Kindreds online community I plan to have other events and resources over time that you may find helpful as well. PS - the greatest changes in my life occurred when I was at a loss, too. I learned to just let go and trust the steps that appeared in front of me. This doesn't have to be huge steps at first. As you start listening more carefully to your intuition, your confidence and trust in its wisdom will grow.
I am a nanny and was a bartender and server for over 10 years. Nannying allows me to work from my heart space. But I still don't feel I am aligned with my true purpose. I have always had this feelings that I need to show up in the world and carve my own path offering my healing abilities, my empathy and intuition. I just feel so lost on what that looks like and the how. This video really resonated with me! Would love to have a channel like this one day. Thanks for sharing! ✨💛🌈
This is great, as i am 55 and have moved through many incarnations of work and passions. Im currently searching for the authenticity of my purpose. And I'm unemployed. I have been called so many things etc. Ive only learnt of the HSP in the last few years. All the years of feeling shame and losing my confidence that I am useless. But this gives me hope and possibility. 😊
I'm glad you can turn the script around now and begin to recognize that being an HSP has a lot of unique and wonderful benefits! Check out my course and community if you feel inspired.. you can sign up for free: kindreds.us/uwfs
I TOTALLY relate to the "multipotentialite" and being good at a few of them. I have done so many things in my life and have done them exceptionally well, which gets people (who really wish I'd settle on something and make money) to tell me I should definitely pursue this. But once I do something well, I want to move on to something because, even I'm good at it, I'm not passionate. Quite an interesting dilemma! It connects with what you mention about our need for integrity, purpose, and sense of mission. I think I'm getting closer to it now that I talk about HSPs!
I rarely do this, but I'm going to comment again. The diagram with the different channels of energy is brilliant. I've known this about myself but seeing a way to chart it brings clarity and satisfaction. My 5 channels are very similar to yours. They are: Art (visual and literary), Helping Others, Nature Lover, Entrepreneurship, Spirituality. And like you, I now see them all coming together (very auspicious!). Kudos! Really great job.
Regarding the multipotentialite thing: I hear ya! And great to hear you resonate with the diagram. It sure gave me a sense of relief when it was handed to me, too. I just launched an Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Highly Sensitive People last week, and would love to hear your feedback on it if you're interested. Will send you an email shortly.
I'm 47 and I've been in a job crisis which has affected my mental health. I've lost my artistic purpose over the last 20 years and feel my time for change is over. This video has given me a little bit of hope.
im 52 and feeling that same sence of loss in my creative work. Im trying to find my next job but it has to have meaning and purpose. Im sick of feed the consumer culture of greed and consumption. I've only recently realised I'm HSP, so this is all a bit new.
I'm 23 and studying medicine.I'm struggling all the thing you had mentioned.I knew i'm highly sensitive person since i was little.Dramaticly I'm crying.Thank you for sharing your life path.I hope i build my own life and love my life.
I really love how there are more men getting the courage to share that they are HSP. For us, women, we often hear that we are exaggerating, all women are like that...etc. I really appreciate that more mature, emotional intelligent people are making videos to hopefully raise awareness. I want to hear more of this + the video quality is amazing
Thanks for your support @Tulips313! I've also been in relationship with people who have made those same dismissive comments, so I know the pain it causes, and I'm sorry you have experienced that. I'm at the point now where I can clearly see that people who react like that to another person's sensitivity are most likely dismissing themselves deeply, and I'm not interested in playing into their projection any longer. 🙂 Let's all raise the bar, eh? 🙏
This is the most helpful video I’ve seen about careers. I’m 24 and wanting to switch to a better paying job, but anywhere I go, at least in my home country, nobody accepts me. I wanted to switch from administrative work to hr work and I always get turned down at beginner hr jobs due to having no experience. It’s like they’re not even supportive of personal growth and change😢 I’m now questioning the whole job market in my area, because why would they be so rigid? People aren’t machines that can just magically level up in only one field. It’s actually weird that they’d need someone like that😂
This video just started playing while i was pumping gas and it barely 30 seconds before i knew i was safe to watch the whole thing. I subscribed before i got halfway through the video. Great content Mike! Very rich, deeply felt, and needed.
Hi @BeauMonroe! Thank you for the nice comment, I really appreciate it. Glad you resonate, and that I was able to help make your gas pumping experience a little more interesting. 🙃 Sending you good vibes.
Same tried to download it. Decided to just email it to myself and maybe post it I don't think I've related to a video this much in awhile I think he's me in a few yrs who knows maybe hrs lol
As I continue to watch omg I relate even more Difference for me is I've at 38. Starting in hs with some gaps but I've only had 3 jobs 2 were call centers blah
OMG, this came just in the right time! I totally feel what you are speaking about... I resonate with it ALL! I realized very early on that I dont fit the social norms of work... I tried to be a "normal" person, but my internal compass was poiting other way around. I am still trying to figure out my way... I also have a completely mixed background (Nursing and then Tourism) and I feel that I can't do the same thing for too long, or something that may give me the feeling of being pinned down or "caged". The 9/5 does not work for me. I like arts, health, spirituality, tech and I have a lot of different interests, I consider my self a very creative person, I like to paint, draw, photography and I am starting to feel the only path left for me is to become my own boss and pick things I like to do. I need time flexibility to be happy. I am of the opinion that we should work to live, not live to work...Since I am unemployed I am considering to go full Freelancer and start to invest more in my natural interests and monetize them in some way. I almost feel that this video was a tap from the Universe, to say "Hey, you are not the only one feeling this... maybe after all is good that you dont want to settle for normality" :D But still.. a little bit lost in the way xD But really cool video, gave me some extra motivation actually!
So happy to hear this resonated for you, @sidew0nder, and that the video got to play a part in your tap from the Universe ✨ It sounds like you have a wide range of skills and interests that you can draw upon as you create your next chapter. Cheering you on as you embrace your unique gifts. 🙏
Thank you so much for your message ☺ I hope soon to find the missing pieces of this puzzle and find my path along the way, like you were also able to do! 🍀✨@@Onemichael
I am 77 yrs old and worked for 56 years. Did not find my calling until I had a retail store where I met people on a daily basis. I had 36 jobs in 56 years. I am a HSP person. Good luck!!!
I'm an activity aide at a nursing home where it feels like family. I'm able to use all my talents and compassion. At night, I'm a voice artist for animation and audiobooks. Couple X a month, I perform comedy music show for elderly. I love what I do. My home is my base.
Hi Michael! Fellow HSP here. You have a great way of presenting how HSPs experience the world, the challenges we face, and how to see that who we are is precious and that the world needs us. Congratulations! I'll be back for more. I discovered the "world" of HSP just a few years ago and it has allowed me to reframe my entire life and given me clarity on my gift to the world. I now use my life to help other HSPs and "misfits" with my channel and upcoming book. (A Splendid Mess: Chronicles of a practically enlightened misfit 😉) I believe what we do is very important. The more people talk about this, the greater our empowerment, the greater the community, and the greater our much-needed impact on the world.
Thanks so much, Annie! I really appreciate it. Just checked out some of your videos as well, you've got a great channel 🫶 I agree! The more we bring this type of information to light, the more we give each other to claim our unique paths, and the more sensitivity is seen as a gift: something very much needed in the world today. I love the name of your upcoming book, too. One of my mentors uses the phrase "intermittently enlightened" which I think is a fun way of describing this journey of self-discovery and expansion of consciousness.
Thanks so much for this video. Been feeling like i m the only one on this planet feeling lost and confused and drained by every job. It got me into a depression i ve been battling with for years now. So glad I found this video at 35😅 It might actually really help me out. Thanks.
7:07 - Sometimes being scattered, questioning your purpose, … financial instability, finding fulfillment…, … crisis of identity, “Where do I fit in in the world?”, …lack of recognition, …pressure from society to fit a predefined role. Man that part really really hurt. 😢
This is the perfect video at the right time for me. I have known for years that my path leads me to helping others (quit many a job where I would felt almost sick by doing things that didn't vibe with my ethics/approach). I've been in a job where I kinda help people through technology, and I'm decent at it, but it's not my passion and I always feel like I'm doing them a disservice by not giving my all. Been journaling lately and had recently started down my journey to become a trainer/coach of sorts to help people pursue excellence. I know that I want to walk the walk before I talk the talk though. I'll get this book and continue to put the puzzle pieces together, one step at a time and trust the process.
Thanks for sharing, @joe1195! It sounds like you have a strong inner compass, and that you'll be able to serve others well. Feel free to sign up for my free course, too, if that vibes with you. It will connect you into my community site where you can get access to other resources as well. kindreds.us/uwfs. The course is all about listening to your inner intelligence and responding from that place within you. I also want to say that there is never an endpoint where you will have it all figured out. Every day I am continuing to learn how to better walk the walk, so I can keep talking the talk with integrity. It's an ongoing process. And you probably already have a wealth of wisdom and experience to share.
Fantastic video, Michael. Emilie’s book was eye-opening and almost like a relief to put a word into my several skills without being labeled as the Jack of all trades. Wishing you all the best for your career and no doubt this video will help a lot of people.
you have no idea how much I a suffering. deep deep wound because of it. I am paralyzed while having all these dreams inside. I don't know if I will ever recover. It was comforting to watch this video. It gave me a confirmation that I am not a mistake and there are others out there who are like me. Thank you.
Thank you so much! I resonate with this so much. I am going through hard times financially, being unable to stick to one particular career path. But I am always trying to find the path like you've talked in the video. I listen to my inner self which helps me to conserve my positive energy to guide me towards my life path.
Hi @sundersanduwal379 my pleasure. I think it's important to be gentle with yourself and acknowledge that you are on your life path! You couldn't help but be. Sending you encouragement as you navigate the difficulties. There's no right way to do this - just whatever works best for you.
It feels so much better to know I am not the only person, it’s highly relatable. I am good at many things and I was on survival mode. Series of incidents happened with me that shook me off, now I am overwhelmed. Too much pressure from the society it’s difficult to suppress their voices and listen to my own inner voice and intuition. Thank you for taking out the time to make this video❤
Home run man! Thank you for taking the time to collect, collaborate, explain this full circle. Outstanding info. I totally relate I’m 34. Never give up and be the best version of yourself. Cheers!
Oh my god. Your video appeared in my recommendations and blew my mind. I relate so much to what you said and this is so relieving to see I'm far from being the only one in that case. Thank you!
A million thanks! You validated a recent choice to leave a side hustle mentorship program that felt like a 'hustle'. I need a career that includes a sense of purpose, downtime, and emotional feelings of joy and integrity. My body got sick (the first time in five years!). I chose to follow that feeling but wasn't clear about this decision until you described it in this video. Thank you!
It's my pleasure, Sarah! Sending you good vibes as you leave the hustle behind and enter a new era where your body, mind, and spirit can all thrive and feel supported.
INTJ HSP here, and you're resonating with my soul . I've had a number of different professional level jobs (BSME by profession). They all start out great, but around the 12 month mark I'm bored, unfulfilled, and looking around for the next opportunity. I'm at a point now where I'm just tired of changing jobs only to start towards the bottom again, which leads me to having a relatively stagnant and flat income over the last 15 years. So, I'm doing the Einstein approach. My job sucks, but I can bang out 40 hrs of work in 15 (work from home allows anonymity here) so I can focus on other hobbies and interests.
Awesome, highly resonate with this. Life out there certainly is based on a structure of Empire :) Being able to share our gifts through multiple channels is actually a lovely antidote to that. More creativity, less competition. Thanks for shining your light.
This is my first watch of your videos. I loved your energy right from the start ...... and then you said your birthday is in a few days..... Haha, me too! March 30th. :) Happy, happy birthday. Happy Easter. Thank you for this content. I have a psychology degree and have never heard of Eugene Gendlin! I've been saying, for a long time, that our systems are outdated and broken . We have a "feed the beast that is never satisfied" society, but I'd never heard the term "Empire Consciousness". Keep shining, Michael.
Wow, a lot of what you've said just fit my situation so much. It is good to hear I'm not alone with my urge to find a purposeful job where I can have an real impact and though I'm struggeling now it will get better with time :)
Hmmmm, I think I needed this as a person with multiple interests. This "you need to focus on a single thing" was always a bit depressing to me. Subscribed, checking the rest of your content to let myself be inspired.. Thank you.
I’m 35 and have been frantically trying to figure out if I’m in the right job and what I should do next. This video put me at ease by giving my language to describe what I’m going through. This inspired an entire expansive journey of visualizing, dreaming and integrating my experience. Thank you friend 🙏
Aw, thank you for sharing, @anjglw! It's my pleasure. Excited for your expansion / integration process. Feel free to report back on how it goes. Wishing you the best 🙏
Omg, we are definitely of the same tribe! This was such a helpful video. It gave me some ideas to start mapping out what I want to try next, as I've been feeling stuck at a dissatisfied impasse lately. Lots of love to my fellow HSPs ❤❤❤
This is incredibly helpful, Michael! Thank you. Your diagram of the various chapters throughout your life gave me some peace as I've found myself on a similar path and embracing this concept of "multi-potential," not being able to keep a job longer than 2 years lol. I just turned 38 myself and suddenly feel less alone after watching this - thank you!
Yes, that was helpful! The diagram in particular. It fits what I've felt, and as you were talking, I recognised what would combine my energy paths into one, something I already knew but hadn't admitted out loud. The financial investment needed for it will mean that this will take a long time, but I see it as building blocks. It's the act of building, laying the initial building blocks, that's important rather than the finished build.
Nice! I'm really glad to hear you found the diagram helpful. If you sign up for my free course (kindreds.us/uwfs), there's a download of that diagram within the learning platform. And you're very right.. it's just a matter of putting those building blocks in place, bit by bit.
It really helped me. I have a rough night right now because im overthinking because I dont like my current work situation and now feeling so understood, i am feeling so relieved. Thank you
I thank God for leading me to this video & I thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with us. Everything you said resonates with me, it all makes sense now and I now see how all my jobs & hobbies are connected. May God continue blessing you
Omg you have just described me. Took on many types of careers successful in all, over whelming at times, didn't think there were many like me out there. I struggle with being a HSP I can see and feel more than the average person.it can be exhausting. Sometime I wish I could turn it off. 😢
Hi @DoctorDarktales, yep I feel ya! I actually think there are quite a few of us out there, we've just been clouded by the overarching paradigm of the world that doesn't know what to do with us. 😅 Would you describe yourself as an empath as well? Meaning that you are particularly sensitive to the emotions and energy of others? You might like some of the other recent videos I recently released on that subject.
@Onemichael Yes I'm quiet similar to you in many ways. I can walk into a room and feel the energy I can sense people emotions. Walking down the street can be over whelming for me because I'm.picking up on the energy of people that pass me by. Its like having spidy senses. I wish I could turn it off it can be tough. I'd love to know how I became an empath.
@@DoctorDarktales I hear ya! Check out this video, which explores all of these questions: ruclips.net/video/v2sgOyZIvpU/видео.html (I talk about what makes an empath and how to start healing so that you have more control over when to turn the empathy up and down)
Reading this comment section made me feel less alone. We're all looking for ourselves. It's ok to be lost. I'm also 37 and I'm lost. But we're lost together. You've said so many things in this video that hit the nail in the head! I don't even know where to start. But there's something you said that mame me feel really good: "Trust the process". Our bodies have all the answers. And all of those things we feel, that "feels bad", is our bodies showing us the right path, guiding us. I've been making so many discoveries lately, but the financial situation puts me in a constant fear state, and this is not ideal, I know. But I'll keep trusting! Well... thank you, Michael. And thank you, beautiful human being, who is reading this right now. You've got this. I believe in you!
Thanks for sharing this, @DomBloch, and for being a voice of encouragement for others here. Yes, I think if there is one main takeaway -- trusting the process, which fits right along with trusting the intuition within your body, is the key. I've been there with the financial fear before and here is how I handle it: If you imagine that your inner world is an orchestra hall (you can learn more about this model here: onemichael.com/orchestra/), just imagine that you have one section of the orchestra that is concerned about finances, and another section that is concerned with the freedom and abundant self-expression you are seeking. There's a way that you can honor the fear that is coming up from the finances section, and actually just respect that it is keeping you grounded and aware of your need to pay the bills, etc. It's doing it's job. On the other hand, you have this other section that just wants to go create and wishes that it didn't have the financial limitations. Maybe it's feeling frustrated or suffocated, for example. But they both play a role. And if you can give them an opportunity to talk to each other - understanding and valuing the perspective of the other side, they can work together strategically so things can go more smoothly. One of my mentors suggests taking them on a road trip or a coffee date in your mind. I find it to be a surprisingly useful exercise. 🙏
@@Onemichael Michael, you're such an amazing being. Thank you so much for this. I have downloaded the orchestra PDF and will dive into it. I've been going through a healing process for the past 10 years. Today I feel I'm on the edge of the limits of the "last" part. So the amount of pressure of the old self trying to stay is out of this world. But I'm almost there! Thank you so much for, mainly, listening and taking your time to really help your community. I wish you all the success!
So I always knew that I was highly sensitive. Always felt that I needed to flip this world around and wake people up. Everything you explained about getting there. I found them when I accepted Jesus Christ. He will answer all questions , give you discernment and our Bible is truth. Everything that I’ve known is in there
This video is so helpful. I got goosebumps when listening to it. I love that you are sharing your experience and talents with others and making this subject known. I can feel your expansive energy through the video even. For so long I've felt disconnected from society, yet I've let fear hold me back to pursue my passions. Particularly, the scarcity mindset "I'll never have enough money pursuing my passions" (holistic healing/herbalism). I'm in grad school right now for a field I'm not passionate about but feels "safe". Hopefully with all of this extra time not working yet I can devote to discovering intuition and my own power. Thank you 🙏🏼
wow... your video blowed my mind.... You have expressed in a few words my life's struggle, definitely as an HSP, maybe as a multipotentialite... thanks for the guidance
Thank you, Michael. This made me feel very seen, and I had so many light bulb moments. I feel more confident about the things my heart and body keep telling me. Keep the content coming!
Hi Michael, I resonated with this video! I just turned 34 a few days ago, Happy Birthday! My whole world shook around 33 and it entirely changed me inside-out! I am now finding my way through now. Cheers~
I can feel it@@Onemichael . I have this feeling that my old world needs to crumble first for the new one to be built. I'm going to Bali in the next few days as my intuition pushes me into that direction. I love your energy. Cheers~
I only found out a few days ago that HSP exists and that I am an HSP, although I have been one since childhood. However, my HSP nature was not recognised in my family or professional life. Thanks to many depressions, I ‘had’ to embark on a spiritual path in order to connect more intensively with my higher self. My wonderful spiritual therapist is one of my companions. I am a teacher, theatre actress, voice-over-speaker, Reiki giver, have learned massages, write poetry, meditate, am very intuitive and wonderfully connected with God and the universe, I feel. I can also see a lot in people and connect with them energetically, even from a distance. However, I sometimes felt and still feel very alone in this, as the outside world sometimes views me very sceptically. I lacked depth in most of my romantic relationships. And without depth and deep connections, I can't exist. But people feel very comfortable with me and seek my closeness. Nevertheless, I usually live a secluded life.
Im so glad I came across this now, Im also 38, I desperately ask today for the steps i can take forward. And I know the universe guided me to this video. One Love
WOW - I'm so glad I was "guided" to this video and to your channel. SO much of what you said has resonated deeply, to my very core. You're amazingly articulate and I was completely focused on every word you said (which can often be a challenge for me with these kinds of videos). Thanks so much, Michael. You're a true inspiration. I look forward to exploring your other videos, courses, etc. You're awesome! - SV
Whelp, this is pretty much my exact story (down to the voice acting side job, lol). Right now I'm living the Einstein approach, but I want to get to that group hug life eventually. Thanks, I look forward to following along for more, and talking about this a lot more myself ❤
I loved this video! Michael, you are lovely, I just discovered you today! Thank you🥰I personally resonated 💯when you talked about listening to your body… we are so confused all the time because of all our thoughts and beliefs… if we quiet them, and just focus on how things FEEL like when we’re doing them, and how people FEEL like when we’re with them, we will sense a crystal clear message of what’s right and what’s wrong for us✨
Thanks Isabel! Yep, you've got it -- I also believe that at our core we're never actually confused, although there can certainly be an experience of contradiction or confusion arising out of our psyche. It just takes some deep listening to our body/intuition/felt sense (beneath the thoughts + beliefs) to hear what's there. I'm glad to hear that you resonate with all of this. 🙏
ahhh! a community for me!!! hi Michael- im 28 + im just now learning (this week) that I am not only neurodivergent but I am also in HSP which I believe is a form of Neurodivergence). it’s so fun reading about myself and knowing that I’m just a little different and in the best ways possible. I can tell by the way that you talk and the jobs you’ve done once upon a time (or even still) that you are definitely an HSP but that pyramid sketch at 9:55? Holy heck! this proves it if anything else doesn’t lol one of a kind. Thanks for this video.
Welcome, Cibby! My pleasure.✌️ If you want to join my free community at kindreds.us, visit the Tools section and you can download that pyramid template to try out for yourself.
Yes. This resonates. I'm happy that my the main income stream in my "Einstein approach" is actually allowing me to use all my skills. And my free time to get my shit together for something bigger.
IThis is exactly what i’ve gone through in my life with careers. Inventing became my main satisfaction, i love it and i don’t have to compromise. However, i know with my other skills (there are many from the job search) help me to be successful at what im doing now. It started when i was 45. long process i wish was shorter.
That Venn diagram is beyond a far stretch - hitting that intersection has Lotto odds. Those who find it should be grateful - it evades the vast majority of us! My internal GPS was switched to “mute” decades ago. I hope to figure it out someday.
Hi @MalikJasson - I bet you have a lot to offer others through your unique perspective. There's a way that you can transform your own experience to simply embody the light that you are. As one of my teachers says, "become a thermostat, not the thermometer". Sending you good vibes today. ✨
So happy I found you. Taking advantage of this weekend that I am all alone (after breakup) to start your felt sense course. Very exited to get started! Thank you so much Michael!
I read How to be Everything book after your recommendation. It's the best book so far on the things I've been dealing with as an HSp. Thanks you so much😊
Hi Michael, finally I feel seen and heard I am 36 and heck I am deeply depressed because I am not on path I know it. I think the key is what you said about trusting our inner GPS. I don't always tune in with this I am heavy head loaded and not connected to that inner wisdom. this is so hard but I suppose only because I want it to be one way one purpose one thing but I think I should incorporate my joy a lot more and get the logic out the way. I wish there was someone to talk to to get a birds eye view. thanks for giving me permission to be everything and everywhere
Appreciate you sharing, Alicia. I've been there, and I know the feeling. The interesting thing about depression, that i've found, is there is a tension there beneath it - which is actually a beautiful thing. Underneath, there is a wellspring, something that wants to come through. It does require, though, that we sometimes get out of our logical, rational orientation in order to trust that energy to emerge. It sounds like you're on the brink of something great to come.
It has to be said that although the thought and dream of this is wonderful, very utopian and hopeful, the reality is different and. it's difficult to harness and take advantage of your own potential and skills in a brutal and gritty system that forces you to accept the first job that's offered and is willing to hire you, even though you're not suitable or fittable for that job and the forced choice will make you suffer for that job -- because according to the system, it's better to suffer suffer and make sacrifices than being unemployed because every unemployed person pays society money and they harm the society, cause inflation and price increases, cause the economic recession or whatever the politicians come up with to blame them. But thank you for your words, they comfort, warm and also soften the atmosphere in the middle of these dark times.
Thanks Michael I totally relate to everything that you said in the video. For the last 15 years, since I graduated from uni, I have been from one job to the other one industry to another. I haven’t felt satisfied with the jobs that I have right now.as a support worker, I get a sense of autonomy but at the same time, it isn’t exactly what I want. I have been offered a job as a rehab assistant within the NHS. I’m not sure if this is this is exactly the job that I want. But I feel it will ger my foot in the door to get closer doing what I enjoy.I’m torn between whether I want to become an occupational therapist or a counsellor.both aren’t exactly perfect for me. However, as I am a trained coach I would someway somehow like to use their skills and do this as a living, I guess I am on the Einstein approach based on what you said on your video. It does kind of feel lonely at times because it feels like im the only one who feels like this and the rest of the people out there are on the bandwagon of working hard and making a lot of money. However I feel like I have to be someone who has passion to do something that makes me feel really happy and make money to what I enjoy. Thank you for this video Michael. God bless you!
Wow it’s good you had nurturing parents. As an HSP boy I had an over disciplining mother of whom I feared, and a philandering piece of crap drunk father who divorced my mother when I was 5. He was hardly in my life. My childhood sucked, if I could forget it I would. Overwhelming sense of relief when they died. Anyway, have had so many different jobs, I hated them all. Except the 6 years I was a flight attendant. It was fun. I moved on though, decided to move to France to learn French, which I accomplished.
Thanks for this video! It definitely resonates with me. My career history would not be defined as a clear upwardly mobile trajectory. I have jokingly referred to myself as a middle-aged artsy fartsy flibbertigibbet. I am starting a new chapter in my life, which includes finding a new job and moving to a new city. The one challenge I face is trying to put a decent résumé together. It’s really hard to have confidence while trying to put a positive spin on a less than focused career path. Maybe you could do a video on résumé writing for HSPs and how to have confidence with an unconventional work history.
My pleasure @billcole2501. I love your career title! 😅 Have you thought about writing a skills-based resume, rather than a traditional job-based one? Here's an example outline: www.indeed.com/career-advice/resumes-cover-letters/skills-based-resume-template I like the video idea! Will make a note of it, and I might circle back to you to gather some more perspective from you on it.
@@Onemichael Hey Michael! Thanks for the link to the skills-based résumé! Didn’t know about that type of résumé. I’m sure it will be useful when putting my résumé together. 👍 You are the first person I’ve heard use the term multipotentialite. I wonder if I could list that as a skill or put it under career history? Sure would be nice to not feel like I’m trying to fit a square peg in round hole by using standard résumé templates.
Just subscribed. Thanks cuz I keep taking the Myers Briggs tests over the past 20 years in a silly way hoping that I will not be scored an INFJ again… but to no avail… I keep getting INFJ. I am a 61 year women with no clear career path just bounced around doing whatever I could to raise my kids with no child support. I do not seem to get along with others very well at work even though I know and keep studying social fluency and social skills with/ about psychology and body language in the work places. I have a fairly high IQ…way too empathetic and was diagnosed as Aspergers when I was in my early 50’s which seems to explain a lot. For now.. I am struggling financially to keep a low paying job in the small town I moved to. I do not have computer skills yet.
Thank you, Michael. I love this video - so helpful and beautifully timed. I shall use the model to map where I've been - taking stock of that is always helpful for shaping the path forward, especially since there are dreams that have stayed patiently waiting their turn... I'm really beginning to lean more into creating the future I want and I am sure I will watch this again... and I look forward to more of your content, thank you again.
My pleasure, @robynjames7194. I'm so glad to hear you found it helpful! Feel free to report back - I would love to hear how your mapping process goes 🙂 Thank you for your support, and welcome. 🙏
@@ltp27345 I believe that if you listen deeply to yourself, a part of you knows what is the most obvious action to take in any moment. It just takes some practice to trust your inner compass over the thoughts and feelings that move through us like weather.
@@Onemichael yeah so true. I have been going through a big life transition the last several months and sometimes I get scared that I need to figure out and decide what’s next. But the true guidance I feel is to slow down and rest
Very interesting. Thank you for sharing those last types of individuals. Have not been able to articulate my journey thus far, but now I see myself prior as a Phoenix, moving into Einstein after honing it on my passion (after lots of failed attempts). Thanks & keep it up!
Thanks @lightninglaur3n! I'm glad you found it helpful, especially the multipotentialite strategies. Sometimes just having words to describe our unique expression of life can make a big difference. 🙏
So, it took a while to get through the video. I relate to a lot what has been said. I feel like the difficulty about it in my case is that while I have many interests, I kinda don't have a lot of interest in the things that lend itself to this sort of approach of combining many interest, like business, programming, or filmmaking. Instead I'm like interested in natural sciences, math, psychology, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, yoga, fitness, dance, climbing, singing, theatre, fashion. I feel like I'm meant for some sort of interdisciplinary research between social and natural sciences, but academia is a shithole of work conditions and I'm around 30 with only an unfitting bachelors degree.

Michael, you're an Angel 🙏
I cried watching this. I am in my 30's trying to find my way. Thank you for this
Same in 30s ...changed multiple Jobs....now on break to explore 🎉
I turn 35 next month and I'm here right alongside you. I'm in the depths trying to see a way out.
Hey you're exactly me!
I’m an HSP and I’m a massage therapist, self employed. I’m blessed to have found a career where I can use my gifts to help heal others.
Wow 38 here as well. My mother is emotionally cut off (covert narcissist) from me.
38 years old too 😳
This resonates.
It's all about establishing a mind-body connection to get out of rational analysis paralysis and listen to what your body knows. kindreds.us/uwfs
Inside of my Kindreds online community I plan to have other events and resources over time that you may find helpful as well.
@@Onemichael That's right, thank you! 🤍🌱
Not all women are like this that’s for sure.
Honestly, I love you for this video. Truly. From one HSP to another. You showed up at EXACTLY the right time.
Love you too, @needlewise! 😅 Really glad to hear it was helpful. 👊🏼
Decided to just email it to myself and maybe post it
I don't think I've related to a video this much in awhile I think he's me in a few yrs who knows maybe hrs lol
As I continue to watch omg I relate even more
Difference for me is I've at 38. Starting in hs with some gaps but I've only had 3 jobs 2 were call centers blah
I have been tense my entire adult life.
(A Splendid Mess: Chronicles of a practically enlightened misfit 😉)
I believe what we do is very important. The more people talk about this, the greater our empowerment, the greater the community, and the greater our much-needed impact on the world.
Thanks so much, Annie! I really appreciate it. Just checked out some of your videos as well, you've got a great channel 🫶
I agree!
@@Onemichael I like the play of "intermittently enlightened" too. We are so perfectly imperfect.
Michael you are so cool and the world needs you!
Thank you for your kindness! The world needs you too 😎
Thanks so much for this video.
There's an opportunity here to channel all of this energy into your own unique expression of life 🙏
This is the perfect video at the right time for me.
Thanks @The_Maverick_Muse!
you have no idea how much I a suffering. deep deep wound because of it. I am paralyzed while having all these dreams inside. I don't know if I will ever recover. It was comforting to watch this video. It gave me a confirmation that I am not a mistake and there are others out there who are like me. Thank you.
You're not alone, Christine! Wishing you peace as you embrace and honor your dreams.
Thank you. I will come back and write a comment here If things start to align for me.

Thank you!
My pleasure, @PixieLoriana. May the grace of the RUclips algorithm be upon us. 🙏😅
Sending you good vibes as you leave the hustle behind and enter a new era where your body, mind, and spirit can all thrive and feel supported.
when I found programming and put in the effort to learn it, which took a lot of time, I realised programming was my purpose.
Amazing video truly.
Different doesnt mean there is something wrong with us.
Thank you - and Happy Birthday to you! 🙏
Wow, a lot of what you've said just fit my situation so much. It is good to hear I'm not alone with my urge to find a purposeful job where I can have an real impact and though I'm struggeling now it will get better with time :)
Yes it will! Just keep listening to your intuition along the way, and be open to be surprised by what life has to offer.
I cried watching this video, Michael THANK YOU!!!!!🙏🏼
Hmmmm, I think I needed this as a person with multiple interests. This "you need to focus on a single thing" was always a bit depressing to me. Subscribed, checking the rest of your content to let myself be inspired.. Thank you.
Thanks Thierry!
🙏 Thanks @FreyaGem! Excited for you to do some mapping and see what comes about - perhaps even just a shift of energy.
So glad to hear it! And happy belated birthday :)
Thank you
You’re very welcome. And I’m glad to hear you feel some relief in being understood. Check out our kindreds.us community if that resonates for you. ✌️
I thank God for leading me to this video & I thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with us.
Everything you said resonates with me, it all makes sense now and I now see how all my jobs & hobbies are connected.
May God continue blessing you
Thank you @Pumzi! It is my pleasure. I'm really glad to hear you were able to gain some clarity. Blessings to you as well.
You may have just saved my life. Thank you Michael
@ 0:04 that's an accurate description of how my channel started
Haha amazing. I guess I am on the right track then 😅
Speechless. This described me perfectly. Immediate subbed.
One year I had 25 w2s. Love this video.
That is impressive!
I've been there with the financial fear before and here is how I handle it:
If you imagine that your inner world is an orchestra hall (you can learn more about this model here: onemichael.com/orchestra/), just imagine that you have one section of the orchestra that is concerned about finances, and another section that is concerned with the freedom and abundant self-expression you are seeking.
Thank you! You too!

Amazing video. Going to share with my struggling child. Thank you ❤
🙏 Lovely to hear. Yes, I think this would have been nice to see as a child for sure, to know the path doesn't have to be narrow and linear.
wow... your video blowed my mind.... You have expressed in a few words my life's struggle, definitely as an HSP, maybe as a multipotentialite... thanks for the guidance
this was amazing. Great to get a fresh perspective on career paths
Cheers~
🙏 Happy Birthday, Rayster! May this be a year of peace and clarity for you.
I can feel it@@Onemichael . I have this feeling that my old world needs to crumble first for the new one to be built. I'm going to Bali in the next few days as my intuition pushes me into that direction. I love your energy. Cheers~
What an eye-opening lovely video
It really has helped me understand myself more

One Love
Thanks for stopping by @chantelleknott8211, and welcome to the channel! 🙏
- SV
I appreciate you, @strigoviro5785. 🙏 Thank you for your kind words!
Whelp, this is pretty much my exact story (down to the voice acting side job, lol). Right now I'm living the Einstein approach, but I want to get to that group hug life eventually. Thanks, I look forward to following along for more, and talking about this a lot more myself ❤
Hah amazing 😅 Thanks for stopping by and for sharing, fellow VO! 🙏
@@Onemichael Absolutely!🩵
Why did it have to take me so long to reach here🙄 ..P.S its a relief to finally have reached ! Thanks a lot for decoding the mess.😇
ahhh! a community for me!!!
hi Michael- im 28 + im just now learning (this week) that I am not only neurodivergent but I am also in HSP which I believe is a form of Neurodivergence). it’s so fun reading about myself and knowing that I’m just a little different and in the best ways possible.
Im 20 and wow this video really helped me so much. Thank you so much
Yes. This resonates. I'm happy that my the main income stream in my "Einstein approach" is actually allowing me to use all my skills. And my free time to get my shit together for something bigger.
Sounds like you've got a good Einstein approach, and perhaps its even a group hug of some sorts, making room for an ever bigger group hug :)
Lol, I am so going to start telling people I am a multi-potentialite if they as what I do from now on!
I think that's an excellent idea. 😅
Nice video and offering a unique and helpful perspective
I feel seen. Thank you. Just quit my "corporate job" because of these reasons and feel blind right now.
I relate so so much
IThis is exactly what i’ve gone through in my life with careers. Inventing became my main satisfaction, i love it and i don’t have to compromise. However, i know with my other skills (there are many from the job search) help me to be successful at what im doing now. It started when i was 45. long process i wish was shorter.
I really enjoyed this video - thank you!
Exactly that, we're here to create new systems. I've never liked conforming.
That Venn diagram is beyond a far stretch - hitting that intersection has Lotto odds. Those who find it should be grateful - it evades the vast majority of us! My internal GPS was switched to “mute” decades ago. I hope to figure it out someday.
Completely & totally incompatible with this realm .. can't wait to leave here .. 💯%
Oh I’m glad to hear you found this helpful! And excited to have you start the course. Let me know how it goes. 🙏
I read How to be Everything book after your recommendation. It's the best book so far on the things I've been dealing with as an HSp. Thanks you so much😊
Love to hear it! ✌️
Thank you Michael! This is very helpful! Best wishes to you from India!
🙏
What a good video! I could relate to a lot of things that were said ❤
I really resonated with this!!
Thanks Sarah!
I’m happy that someone finally brought an explanation about it 🎉
My pleasure @voiceframing7614. Glad to hear it resonates! ✨
Thank you, that was super helpful! ✨💖✨ I have some serious thinking to do now 💪
Beautiful well done insightful ❤ I subscribed
I have never come across a male Hsp, at least not on RUclips. (i am sure they exist but RUclips never recommended their channels) btw, great video✨
It's my pleasure, @sadequrrohman. Rest assured you are not alone in your pursuit of your unique path!
Thank you Michael, this is so helpful, Im going to watch the others you mentioned, what a blessing that I found you x
My pleasure, Shelly! Glad you found it helpful 🙏
Here's an example outline: www.indeed.com/career-advice/resumes-cover-letters/skills-based-resume-template
I like the video idea! Will make a note of it, and I might circle back to you to gather some more perspective from you on it.
@@Onemichael Hey Michael! Thanks for the link to the skills-based résumé! Didn’t know about that type of résumé. I’m sure it will be useful when putting my résumé together. 👍
You are the first person I’ve heard use the term multipotentialite. I wonder if I could list that as a skill or put it under career history? Sure would be nice to not feel like I’m trying to fit a square peg in round hole by using standard résumé templates.
Your video sooth my nervous system after so long 🥺
wonderfully done. We appreciate you.
@solutions4tenants141
I am an INFJ HSP, too. Keep fighting brave momma ❤
Love this. Throw a chronic illness in the pot and u got one hellova journey ! No less beautiful but it can be confusing to non hsp’s
Great video 🙌🙌 - totally needed this message today 😊😊
THANK YOU SOURCE ENERGY, THANK YOU INNER GOD.
✨🙏
we are so lucky to live in a place/time where we can choose what we do with our days
I agree, @ltp27345! The possibilities are almost endless. 🙂
@@Onemichael I feel a bit paralyzed by it to be honest
@@ltp27345 I believe that if you listen deeply to yourself, a part of you knows what is the most obvious action to take in any moment. It just takes some practice to trust your inner compass over the thoughts and feelings that move through us like weather.
@@Onemichael yeah so true. I have been going through a big life transition the last several months and sometimes I get scared that I need to figure out and decide what’s next. But the true guidance I feel is to slow down and rest
@@ltp27345 that sounds like good guidance to me! I always find that when I slow down and do nothing for a bit, everything becomes more clear.
