I figured out that you can remake these in a phaseplant, it's just a bit of a pain in ass. The other day i traced the master rack into the phaseplant, and the sub had a lot of dirt, so what i did is that i threw a rc20 onto the channel where stereo sub cutter had to be, and removed the distortion from the patch, it worked pretty well. So i managed to reduce the cpu load and a way to save some time while mastering, thanks to the rc20 filter and distortion. Thanks for the tutorial. Also for how long were you doing sound design?

some nice sounds dude, I really like the first call double womp bass. I would take the approach of separating the sub out of that patch with a HP cut at 75-180hz and put it on its own channel as mids bass then just use a sine, square or saw wave as the sub and blend the 2 together. Really focus on getting the mids to vibrate the cones on the monitors by feeling it with your hand first and then layer the sub over that. this way you will have the mids pushing vibration and the sub bass pushing it's own seperate vibration to everything below the HP cutoff. then just eq the conflicting frequencies out. Also a LP around 7-14k, just kinda use your ears, sometimes higher is better depending on the bass. My buddy put it to me the best way, the sub is your rhythm section bass with the drums and the mids bass is like the guitar in a band and then everything else is built around those main elements.

Camel Phat as well as their other plugin are great. It's just a shame they don't exist anymore

I had to risk a virus from a sketchy dogs on acid link to get it, but if you can find it and the thread link is legit and no virus. I've been using it for about 2 years now and my virus protection did warn me but, I did it anyways lol. It's a zip file someone linked to like a drop box. dogs on acid if you don't know is like the biggest dnb forum in the UK and if you can find the thread it should still be downloadable.

It's actually not that great anymore tbh. it gives the bass sound kind of a honky character and an over compressed sound that needs a lot of eq work to get rid of. It's hard to get that really clean sound if you don't spend the time to shape your sound before using camel phat. Recently I just use it to automate a short instances of it on then automate it off like you would effects or reverb tails. For drums though, this thing can make drums SLAP!

@@Rzn8B58 You are right it works well on some sounds but is infact outdated & can be muddy. Another fun fact, camelphat has a slightly cleaner sound than camelcrusher does with the same settings.

That "XCITA" knob in camelphat is pronounced ek-SITE-uh like "exciter" said with an accent, because it's an exciter.
Been looking for a solid video on neuro basses that doesn't rely on randomization. Solid!

Nice sounds and good drums. Possibly need to work on riffs/motifs etc. Sometimes space makes the sounds you use mean more. If it's just bass sounds with no breaks, it loses the groove. Check out Break - "Natural Way" for an example of what I mean. The space in the drop makes those two bass hits at the end of every second bar mean more.
