Travis NDA drops a hint its a new game and everyone loses their mind... but we know better and everyone else should by now too. The amount of posts saying this was going to be alpha or third strike was hilarious.
Travis is a good dude, he said he loves Atgames! I don't think he hyped it, but are we surprised A1up does another rehash!
True, in the last year we’re there any new and exciting games from 1up. I say no cause Fast & Furious was kind of a bait and switch. I remember when Vpinball was all the rage and if they created a Solid product (from the start) would we be looking at better more advanced virtual pinball? We all know there’s no substitute for the real thing and id take one JP over 10 different virtual cabs. However when I plug my switch into an Legends pinball and play the Star Wars cart the look and feel is pretty good and some of the same tables were on 1ups Star Wars Vp where you can’t even squint yourself into making out what’s going on that awful 720 screen. I have a Bally table from the 70’s that’s still fun and challenging. There are console VP’s that are fun to play and where’s Star Wars Pinball Deluxe from 1up? Just seems like it wasn’t that long ago people were super hyped for VP and after an Epic fail by 1up they killed the nostalgia and fun and drive people to real pinball. That’s like Burger King making a whopper so bad that the sale of Big Macs grew 200%😮
How is Travis a good dude when he lied to me and the community MULTIPLE times and put Fomo into everybody with bkitz and mvsc2 and pushed lies about “limited “ runs and tricking people to paying full price and preorder. And btw, doesn’t tell anyone he’s getting paid by 1up to hype their products. Sounds like a great dude. 🤷♂️

I love ya Glen and 1up definitely did you dirty but I'll play devils advocate here.....the first and only SF 1up cab I bought was the Gen1 riserless one for $399($499 after riser). No deck protector, no wifi, no light up marquee, riser design, faux coin doors, and only had three games. For a $100 less than this one. In the wake of the serious inflation everyone is facing. There didn't seem to be this fomented hate back then just 3-4 years ago. Even the die hard 1up fans seem pissed. I'm just missing something here because no one forced anyone to get the any of the variations.
Sf gen 1 was 299 , not 399. Nobody has a forcing anyone , yet they all still buy these , and hence the joke.

Company supposedly holds an extremely large percentage of arcade licenses. Releases the same games over and over. Where are the other titles 1up holds licenses for that HAVENT been released 2-3 times already. "The world may never know"
By the time they release alpha and 3rd strike , nobody will care. We are all already playing those for free online on our switches and consoles. Hahaha

So I'm not an arcade 1up buyer anymore, but I do hope they really have improved the marquee, and I hope the control panel really does have improved ink. I remember the original could not hold up to much game play before wearing off. But it sounds like the buttons are same as usual, and I'm wondering if the SF emulation if off like on the big blue. But in the end it is a re tread. These cabs really are not made for serious gamers. Not sure if they ever were.
If this was the first 1up they did , I would have bought it immediately. I would have been disappointed, but at least it would have been initially what I expected.
For a person that doesn’t have any SF cabs and isn’t interested in the real deal, can you tell me why I don’t want to pick it up? What’s wrong with it?
The thing is built with cheap lightweight particle board and wobbles all over when playing , 2 people can’t play next to each other; it’s too small. The buttons and joysticks need to be replaced because they are pure garbage. It has input lag that has to be fixed with a 3rd party patch. And nobody is online to play ever. Buy the PS4 or Switch 30th anniversary collection and buy a fightstick. It comes with all those games and more and more online games and it actually works. Don’t waste the money on this. You’ll have buyers remorse like everyone else.
@WizDawg for the casual non competition player it will suit you just fine. The light weight material might actually be a plus for many. Real cabs of this style weigh 300-400lbs. I've never encountered wobbling and two people play just fine. Is it ideal? No. But a working decent shape Street Fighter 2 cab will run you $1500-2000. And you'll use it just as much as a 1up. All depends on why you're buying it and I wouldn't let one of the 1up shill channels or people that don't like them be the deciding factor.
@@shawnp4155 you honestly have no idea what you’re talking about. I’ve played all of these and they all wobble. And don’t mislead people how much real arcades cost and weigh. Common myth is “they are 300-400 lbs and they cost 2000 dollars. All wrong . And you’re confirming ; this game is good if you don’t want to play it and just want look at it.

@@therexershow wasn't looking for an argument or saying anything bad about genuine arcades. If I had the space and know how, my dream would be to have a legit kick ass arcade. I was just trying to give the guy two perspectives. If he can do legit SF2 cab, that's awesome. But there is also a place if he can only do a 1up version. It all depends on what he wants. Ultimately I think a multicade is the best option of all, which you have helped convince me on.
