No need to over think this. Vikings had a great game plan and beat us. 9ers need to fix their 3rd down defense. Thats a must. Other than that, they will be fine. No worries here.
Bro, missing open receivers all game is a problem. Spread the ball out, and when does the coach take notice a WR is open a lot? He's in the dog house and we lots a game because of it. Now everyone will be on him now that Deebo is out and hurt because Deebo got too many balls his way.
Kyle and Purdy just not looking for him because even if things got in the way whether it was pressure etc etc, at some point you make it a point to get him going and they never did till the end when it was too late
Some of these clips he's not really open, but yea he's getting open sometimes. Lost his connection with BP and maybe some trust issues from the week 1 drops
Yal listen. The fact is the chemistry isn’t there right now between Purdy and BA because he missed all of training camp. That will change as the season goes on and they build that chemistry again. Purdy nor Kyle are “holding grudges”. That literally makes no sense. Lmao Also, for those saying Brock is going through his reads “too slow” how yal know? lol Fans gotta chill. It’s literally the second week going into the third. Everyone (not just Niners fans) are acting like it’s week 15 and the team is still playing like trash. There are going to be ups and downs with every team. I’d rather they work out their kinks now, rather than later and it’s too late (like the 2023 Eagles). Folks gotta be patient and stop saying how much money these guys JUST got. GAHLEE. 😂😅
How do you know they aren't holding grudges? A 60 million QB has to have chemistry to hit an open player, but at the same time, he can squeeze the ball to Deebo, who is covered. I agree we have to be patient, but the same has to be said about BA. All of a sudden, he's weak, but last year, 9er fans loved him. Can't have it both ways, is it because he missed training camp? The players that did go to training camp didn't look good either.
Comment makes no sense. If he’s in the doghouse why is he even on the field? You think Kyle is going up to Brock and telling him not to throw BA the ball?? It’s a regular season game ain’t nobody got time to be playin around like that.. now if he wasn’t on the field at all that would be one thing but he is
Jerry Rice was elite and is in my opinion the only elite WR the 49ers have ever had from the late 70's to date. The rest range from average to very good, but not elite. Being paid elite pay does not necessarily translate to elite play. Deebo could be elite if not for him being prone to injury. P{layers that do not take the time to remain in football shape during the off-season do not deserve the recognition of being labeled as elite. Being elite is being elite in all aspects of the profession at all times. Any deviation from this lowers a player down to just being average to very good. Jerry Rice understood this and made it his religion. It's why he was so great.
I think your real answer is in press conference asking Brock Purdy if his first read hasn't been going to aiyuk LMAO..... Brock may not be able to or even want to answer that question but that will be your truth😂😂... or asking Brandon aiyuk himself in press conference if he is not first read LMAO then Vibe check him like they did Mason😅😅
Most of the comments I've seen have been about timing and chemistry between BA and Brock, not being open. I would attribute those to BA missing all of the preseason.
Only ppl saying that dumb shit are the same dumbasses who screamed to get rid of Aiyuk all summer. I just think it's time, it'll come from brock having more reps with aiyuk. Honestly ppl wanna blame someone, how bout our 3rd down defense. It was awful, it was bad week one in the W and it was bad again in the L, with the exception of Fred, he single handedly kept us alive that game. As far as Aiyuk, I'm gonna do what I did all summer and that's stick by his side!
This had nothing to do with reps with BA it was intentional...You dont just forget your main guy that helped you all year just like that💯 I honestly believe Kyle made BA the very last progression clear to Brock because he wanted to punished BA but it hurted the team...This even goes bk to Super Bowl Shanahan didn't want to target BA in Super Bowl because he knew BA contract was coming up n didn't want to increase his value💯
I'd like to see Renaldo get some plays, I'd like to see mustapha gets some plays, and Brock go back to finding the open guy and placing it there. Wether that's auyuk, kittle,Conley, cowing,or jp
Some of those "open" looks had a DB floating near him and often behind him too. Looks like if it was thrown that back is only two or three steps to him.
Possibly why Brock spoke multiple times about getting better going through progressions during time with the press this week? I hope so…. Either way this would be horrible for the Niners… if Kyle is scheming him out or the fact that Brock can’t get through his reads….either way…. Let’s hope this gets cleared up
Let’s be real, wether he’s getting open or not, BA kinda brought this upon himself. U cant say things like, “they dont want me”, and not signing a contracting all offseason and all the offseason hupla, and then expect ppl to love u to bits. He’s gotta earn teamates respect again. If at work an employee has been missing multpile days consecutively, for a long stretch, or continously coming late, or quitting early, then sorry, I give the other employess seniority over him. They practiced all off season running plays with the players that were there, Jennings, Kittle, etc. BA shouldn’t be shocked if he’s not the first, or even 2nd option. Win ur teamattes back again, win the fans back, and ur coach and quarterbacks trust back
I agree, this game seemed really un characteristic for Brock. He usually gets the ball out. He was late on his throws even the ones he completed. Not throwing it away on the sidelines and taking losses was also un characteristic. Very bad game. Without Kyle's favorites out there this week CMC and deebo. There will be choices to go who will be open. But knowing Kyle he'll just run it every down lmao
@@ryanjones875 yes he was late on his completions also. One to kittle didn't hit him on his break waited. That's just one example it was like that the whole game. He pulled the trigger faster last season.
Correct, it's not just 1 person, it's mainly on 3 people, and all 3 of them wanted and received more money this off-season. Trent got humiliated a couple times, Trent was beat 3 times back to back to back on one series, BA was a ghost and CMC is just collecting his money without even playing. Those 3 combined with the fact that TWO EFFING DEEP SAFETIES BOTH let someone past them, which is completely unacceptable even in 6th grade. Tell Fred this was a "total team loss"
I am sorry, safeties should not be primarily covering Justin Jefferson. Ever. You need a cornerback on him. Not even the best Safety in the league can cover him.
The Purdy party on one hand says Brock is elite and he can do this and that. Then they say "Oh Aiyuk missed all of training camp". Then they blame the OL, then they blame Flores for confusing him.
That deep in to deebo he definitely couldve hit aiyuk for a minimum a much bigger gain if not a td. And he looks at him as well not sure why purdy doesnt hit him, i think this week they'll really start to get back into what they were doing last year.
Aiyuk is getting open quite a bit. I don't think it's that the ball isn't designed to go to him as much as the SF pass protection is very sloppy and even if there isn't a sack taking place the pressure is there and Purdy either has to get rid of it sooner and he looks off of Aiyuk who usually has an intermediate-longer route than say Kittle or Deebo. OR he may be seeing Aiyuk open but if there's no clean pocket to step into and deliver the pass it's not a good idea to try to make that throw unless you have a QB who has a cannon throwing flat footed or off the back foot which only about 3 teams in the league do. Timing will get better, but most importantly the pass protection NEEDS to get better or this could be a mediocre season for the Niners.
It’s all true, and you didn’t hear it from me but Kyle Shanahan blinks side to side like crows and many repitiles, not to mention he was an expert at sky diving with large sums of money during the 70s, lived near Vallejo California during the time of the Zodiac killer, and all of a sudden became the Beatles manager sometime after Revolver or Rubber Soul..
These videos are so disingenuous just a click baits, but those are not open you need to consider at underneath defender. He was open in couple of plays there but other player were also open. You can’t blame BA alone, but the problem is scheme which is not stretching the field, no cowing speed, JJ running deep dig or post not it. This is like one of those click baits where a receiver will be open after ball is thrown. Comments on this video shows me there are still Trey hurts and Purdy haters in our own fanbase
Bro, those were open. This is the NFL, and you're not gonna have guys running 10 yards open. Even with the underneath defender, the QB has to layer the ball over him into a window. I agree that he isn't separating like in years pass, but it's enough that he can at least be targeted. Deebo has the worst separation on the team, but he was targeted 19 times. Even Juszczyk is targeted more than BA through 2 games. Yes, he has taken over as the checkdown with CMC out, but he shouldn't have more targets than the primary receiver. Brock eyes are go8ng elsewhere and Kyle is calling other guys number.
When Purdy loses or struggles people always say the wr isn't getting open. Well that's not true, Purdy just doesn't make the throws. We seen he had time to throw as soon as Aiyuk got open instead holds it longer and bad things happen. Yet it's the O-line and wrs faults. Don't hesitate see it throw it and trust the throw.
Did you watch the game. Purdy was 78% on 8.9 yards/attempt. He also had the highest success % of any QB. So what gives? No matter how well he does, you say he gets the blame, and no other payers or coaches?
I think it was just bad play calling and bad reads on the vikings defense. We do really well with quick passes down the middle, and I think we could’ve gone deep shots downfield. I normally enjoy the types of plays they do, but this was the less creative and lack luster Ive seen a while. Still beginning of season, they’ll get it going next game irrespective or the one after.
@@antoinetran6902 Well, the video shows he's open. So, if he's rusty and getting open and not getting the ball, is he going to get it when he is so called, no rusty.
As a niner fan and Purdy fan, it seems like Purdy isn't committing to his throws as quickly as he did last year. I'm hoping it's just the beginning of the season and we'll see his quick decisive throws again
Look at coverage pre snap, then compare to post snap. Some exotic coverages that drop out of zero blitzes and turn into hybrid man/zone, Tampa, etc. Vikings are winning their division and will be a problem this season if Darnold keeps playing well enough to win.
@@ChrisMeyers-dq9bv go watch Johnydels football academy. He breaks down every Niners game. Purdy made mistakes but it’s a lot deeper than just him playing poorly this season, this defense was just really good. Poor Daniel jones wk1 lmao
Aiyuk is pissed off for being fazed out the offense and tired of running wide open in the first 3 games. Purdy is following the boss. Purdy explanation of why he didn’t throw to him open, does not make any sense. You don’t need to plan that much if you see a wide receiver that open, you just throw the ball
Overall the offense played horrible, even Trent was pushed to his limits on Sunday. Not worried, it’s fricken week 2. I will be asking questions by week 5, and if this defense doesn’t produce more pressure and sacks
Trent and BA missing training camp really screwed a lot up. You can see BA doesn't care. He was laughing at his terrible performance obviously not taking it serious
But it happens a lot faster on the field. Sure if you pause the video you can find split second where they’re open. This is a result of missing training camp so him and Purdy’s chemistry is off.
Protection was an obvious issue in the game. The main issue between Brock and BA though is timing. That's what happens when you don't practice with the team all summer long because you're a diva and made things more difficult than they needed to be.
@@dh1382they'll never blame Purdy, I wouldn't pay Purdy $60 million a year. I'll trade him before I pay that much and fleece another team for a 1st and some other picks. Dude isn't worth $60 million elite QBs would make those throws as soon as they see it developing. Instincts is what makes a elite QB. I don't think Purdy is good at reading defenses pre snap and after.
I think you all ought to drop the conspiracy stuff....BA is getting his feet under him...probably was further down the option line because what they have seen in practice...wouldn't be the first time he played faster in the games than practice....Kyle will adjust...
Ain’t that much “Situational” in the world. As a man about to be the highest paid qb. He needs to adjust and get off the read when he sees things like this happening.
Kinda proves that Brock doesn’t deserve $65 mill a year. He might be worth half the price of that at end of season. He keeps targeting Deebo despite double or triple covered and eventually got him injured for 1-2 weeks.
Stfu dummy please go watch college football Kyle was getting out coached and Trent Williams was getting his ass handed to him . He looks tired and out of shape
Don't watch and judge like you can do better. On all levels most people strive to be better. Behind closed doors players and coaches are making big money moves and ever since gambling with King and other bedding apps. Players take dives for money and so do coaches and the referees I believe take bribes by the quarter therefore they give a team three quarters to win and one quarter will be bribed That's just my guess
I never believed Aiyuk was elite. He is too slow and only has average to just above average measurements and route running skills, so how can he be rated as elite? I believe it's because people allow the hype by the press to influence them to see something that isn't there. I always thought he was good to very good, but never elite.
Still trying to find reason to be mad. You can't just sat, Damn, he's open a lot! Boy these haters. Should be mad at Kyle for never acknowledging this the whole game. That's that eagle Kyle has, Imma teach you a lesson.
Aiyuk has been open on majority of his routes for 3 years..kyle just a favortism type coach and that's why he lost the superbowl🤷♂️ (besides the refs)
@@dh1382 no hate here my friend I have so much faith in this niner team that I lost close to 5k this past superbowl but it is what it is move on but all of off season nothing but this player wants what he wants & now he gets it regardless last minute or not & obviously the reason for this video is because this player is still having issues & to your question yes he had some drops in the last game with the jets!
Been saying this Kyle the bum play caller put BA in the dog house again 4 targets and Deebo was returning punt playing RB and WR it’s clearly favoring going on
Who gives a damn if he’s open. The issue is Purdy never hesitated to take those shots to Aiyuk and now he does because they don’t have any chemistry built up this season and off season to carry over from last year.

Doesn't prove anything, you could do a film with a number of plays where he isn't open Overall, PFF stats show he was rarely open 5 or 6 times in a game doesn't mean anything, it a 60 minute game BA has been a non factor in these first 2 games, the only thing I remember him doing in the first 2 games is dropping the touchdown pass against the Jets
@@dh1382 I'm saying that a video of the 5 or 6 times that he was open in a 60 minute game doesn't mean much if the rest of the game the defence was glued to him. I don't know whether he is rusty or whether he just doesn't care anymore now that he has been paid, but his catching and route running are below the standard of last year.
@paulidson1483 Trust they didn't show all the open plays. The play to Jennings he was open, and the first sack Purdy took, he was open. Deebo is never open but seems to get targeted. Five plays are too many when you just got paid 120. Why pay 120 if you are not going to include him in the ggameplay. Crazy to me, I think 9ers add to the drama every year.

There is no way Purdy would make that decision or he is "mad" at Ayiuk. And even Kyle would be stupid to bring him back and not use him.
@@ryanjones875 exactly, that’s why it seems so odd that Purdy is always look elsewhere when Aiyuk usually gets open the fastest
Some of these clips he's not really open, but yea he's getting open sometimes. Lost his connection with BP and maybe some trust issues from the week 1 drops
How many he have week one? I thought it was one for the TD.
@@dh1382 He dropped at least one more aside from that. I think they'll rebuild some of that trust though. They kinda have to
The common theme here is the o line was in Purdy’s lap all damn day. They couldn’t pick up the blitz and Purdy started getting happy feet
It was just like in the SB. Aiyuk was getting open but pressure in the pocket made Purdy throw late or throw it away.
Kyle has him in the dog house again
It Kinda Seems That Way To Me Kyle Hold Grudges & Gets Petty At The Wrong Times
@@AntonioBlackshereI can tell you guys are Grant Cohn fangirls
Comment makes no sense. If he’s in the doghouse why is he even on the field? You think Kyle is going up to Brock and telling him not to throw BA the ball?? It’s a regular season game ain’t nobody got time to be playin around like that.. now if he wasn’t on the field at all that would be one thing but he is
@@theotherside3122 cause kyle is petty . Kyle doesnt make sense sometimes
You want 30 million excuses for BA don’t you
Jerry Rice was elite and is in my opinion the only elite WR the 49ers have ever had from the late 70's to date.
O line has always been an issue as far as giving our QB's clean pockets and protection.
QB best friends are an amazing OL. Shanahan need to prioritise the OL to kept Brock Purdy upright.
Brad - 49ers receivers had the least separation of any team i week two.
There timing is off and the line play wasn’t good, along with not being the primary read.
Watch the int to juz on our half and you'll see aiyuk got a late jump on the snap. Aiyuk is doing okay when his team needs him
What a show of proof, Brad, that BA is getting open but the play goes to someone else.
Win ur teamattes back again, win the fans back, and ur coach and quarterbacks trust back
In real time I saw BA getting open but for whatever reason Purdy didn't pull the trigger. I think he was seeing Darnold's ghost
This is Brock’s problem he has so much time but going through his progressions is mad slow
Then after he purposely throws the game say it's because his star pupils being out is why he couldn't call a good game. Smdh
@@lawrencekramer3218 Even the ones he completed? 78%?
@@lawrencekramer3218 What?
So it sounds as if this is a team sport?
@TheSFNiners Yeah and the QB runs the offense
There is an analytics chart showing good separation, grant has a video on it. He was before league average separation, stop the excuses
NextGen stats had the 49ers receivers having the worst separation of any team. And six out of 44 pass plays isn't everything,
The Vikings just wupped the Niner’s back side! Plain and simple!
If a qb doesn't get protection his clock starts speeding up so he favors shorter routes.
He neglected the short routes, what are you talking about?
I think it was just bad play calling and bad reads on the vikings defense. We do really well with quick passes down the middle, and I think we could’ve gone deep shots downfield. I normally enjoy the types of plays they do, but this was the less creative and lack luster Ive seen a while. Still beginning of season, they’ll get it going next game irrespective or the one after.
I think aiyuk is just rusty. Give me him a few games and watch him come to form when we need him. I'm not worried about aiyuk at the moment
@@antoinetran6902
Well, the video shows he's open. So, if he's rusty and getting open and not getting the ball, is he going to get it when he is so called, no rusty.
@@dh1382 we'll see what happens when the season progresses.
It's kyle plays not enough to make solid WINS .
Few plays he was clearly blanketed by underneath defender and Brock doesn’t have trust with Aiyuk like he has with others.
@@nathangothan601 very good point. It's the intangibles of the game that most people don't see, including myself.

Aiyuk is pissed off for being fazed out the offense and tired of running wide open in the first 3 games. Purdy is following the boss. Purdy explanation of why he didn’t throw to him open, does not make any sense. You don’t need to plan that much if you see a wide receiver that open, you just throw the ball
brock had a rough game he will rebound
He did? 78% and 319 yards. He was over 100 in passer RTG. If another QB did that well, people would be praising him. But not Purdy.
@@ryanjones875 I hear you. However, how can you watch that tape and not see he was out of Rhythm and missing the reads he usually makes

Most of them are tough
Overall the offense played horrible, even Trent was pushed to his limits on Sunday. Not worried, it’s fricken week 2. I will be asking questions by week 5, and if this defense doesn’t produce more pressure and sacks
BA is always open. Brock is late on alot of throws. I was watching the game thinking he was gonna get someone hurt
I've been saying Kyle has him in the dog house..to sacrifice the teams success for a personal beef is crazy..
Then why did Kyle make an effort to get him back? Kyle wants to lose a game, just to punish a player?
Trent and BA missing training camp really screwed a lot up. You can see BA doesn't care. He was laughing at his terrible performance obviously not taking it serious
You're blind and, apparently, didn't watch the video. This video is about BA being open. Your statement doesn't fit the narrative. 😂 smh!
That's so lame, a so-called 60 million QB can't get the open WR the ball. Stop the antics and call it what it is. BS!
No QB would have made the throws, pay redzone and watch other games.
The 49ers are mad at aiyuk right now the coach’s & management lol. I’m telling you they’re not throwing him the ball on purpose.
Looks like Kyle clearly has BA in the dog house! Ridiculous! Noe he has no choice with CMC and Deebo out!!
I think you all ought to drop the conspiracy stuff....BA is getting his feet under him...probably was further down the option line because what they have seen in practice...wouldn't be the first time he played faster in the games than practice....Kyle will adjust...

OK THIS JUST IN!!!???? WHY IS BROCK...IGNORING AIYUK?? IS IT BROCK???........OR IS IT KYLE????? :(
Kinda proves that Brock doesn’t deserve $65 mill a year. He might be worth half the price of that at end of season. He keeps targeting Deebo despite double or triple covered and eventually got him injured for 1-2 weeks.
Kyle didn't get him injured by continually running him?
Mahomes film in their loss to Indy last year kinda proves he’s not worth 65 mil. Forget everything else, that game proved it for me
Stfu dummy please go watch college football Kyle was getting out coached and Trent Williams was getting his ass handed to him . He looks tired and out of shape

That was six plays out of 44, and he wasn't always in position on those.
So what you saying is Brock is not worth $60🤔
Aiyuk in the dog house again
Purdy gotta feed 11
I think he gets tired but at the same time looks like play designs are going to Deebo . I don't think he's blocking with the same intensity.

Been saying this Kyle the bum play caller put BA in the dog house again 4 targets and Deebo was returning punt playing RB and WR it’s clearly favoring going on
So is Shannahan ego the reason the Niners will never be good or is Purdy missing ayuik
Who gives a damn if he’s open. The issue is Purdy never hesitated to take those shots to Aiyuk and now he does because they don’t have any chemistry built up this season and off season to carry over from last year.

Overall, PFF stats show he was rarely open 5 or 6 times in a game doesn't mean anything, it a 60 minute game
BA has been a non factor in these first 2 games, the only thing I remember him doing in the first 2 games is dropping the touchdown pass against the Jets

@@dh1382
I'm saying that a video of the 5 or 6 times that he was open in a 60 minute game doesn't mean much if the rest of the game the defence was glued to him.
PFF stats said Aiyuk has been way down on separation compared to last year.
He is right, there is underneath defender on all these plays we’re lurking at Purdy and there is a defender on top. These are not gimme throws, no QB throws these ones. Problem is not BA route running it’s our scheme against these coverage.
