It's really sweet to see Mandy and Milo all grown up playing parents.
As a grown man, I bloody LOVE this show! My girlfriend and I cant wait for the new episodes and hopefully further seasons. Mandy seems so damn sincere, as well.

ludex Gundyr, since Jack exists only in flashback, and the show time jumps all the time, anyway, I can see the endless possibilities. Even seemingly minor characters are given backstories, like the fireman who brought Randall to the hospital and the doctor who delivered Kate and Kevin. And last week we got to know William's backstory and his mom and cousin. We don't know much about Randall's birth mom, though, but I suspect she will get her own episode/explanation in the future. No rush, though.
Unlike some people, I'm enjoying their taking their time. Some fool on another forum complained that "the pacing was too slow" for her to enjoy the show. I mean, really? I don't find the show boring at all. I'm intrigued by every storyline and connection. I don't mind that we often get more questions than answers, but that's the beauty of the show. It keeps you guessing. And how boring would it be if something was resolved by every episode's end?
musicaltheatergeek79 Yes I agree completely. My only concern is I dont want them to get so off track with back stories that it feels like its turning into a whole different show. I cant wait to see the reason for Jacks death and how Miguelle and Becca got married or how that fire got sparked, but yes I agree with you.

Mandy has such a loveliness about her, inside and out. A beautiful, true talent with a good heart. I hope she graces us with more movies/tv/music for decades to come. Thank you Mandy, for all of it!

I remember when Mandy first started out in 2000. Brittany Spears and Christina Aguilera were like the #1 and #2 pop princesses at the time, respectively, with Jessica Simpson a distant third. Mandy never made it as big as those three, but everything she's doing on THIS IS US blows away everything the aforementioned girls have done in film/television. Seriously, she's been a revelation on this show. Admittedly, I was hesitant to watch this show, because I was like, "Oh, no, not another pop tart thinking she can act." But Mandy is a gifted actress. Who knew? She's doing some amazing work on that show. Her Golden Globe nod was truly deserved. I hope she and the cast/show are recognized come Emmy nominations in July.

I was convinced when she sang only hope in 2002 that Mandy was gonna be the next Whitney, Mariah or Celine. She was gonna be in tons of movies and even do theatre and only hope is gonna be an anthem. Why none of this happened is beyond me.
