It actually takes a lot of humility to both admit that you were wrong and explain WHY you were wrong. This is why I love your videos; I always feel like I learn something.
Thank you for your humility and many years of Virtue. You have been an continue to be a reliable source of information and inspiration. Blessings upon you and your family. Domo Arigato Gozaimasu. For “TACTICAL” use, I never liked the secondary switch on my Klarus lights. My solution was to cut a small piece of plastic, I used a small zip-tie, formed a C shape and tucked it under the secondary switch, blocking it from functioning. For added security, I used some shrink tube around the battery cap to keep the plastic from backing out!
Thank you for this follow up. If you ever want to hunt or fish in Maine USA and stay in a log cabin on a tiny island in a lake, let me know. It would be an honor to host you Doctor W.
If secondary switch causes confusion for user, then it is a design flaw. No matter if flashlight works, the switches should operate as expected, without detective analysis. You are too generous, sir.
Good detective work Wako! I new it couldn't be the discharge rating of the battery in the XT11X because the current demand of that light on turbo setting will be less than 5amp. Current draw of the XT21X is similar.
Don't know what bothers him really... I have the exact same one XT11X with a Klarus name and model placed on the right side on the flashlight. The includeed battery is also the same, i ran the flashlight on turbo for 10mins just to see what happens. Never had any stepdown after that. The switch is very normal also.
Klarus XT11X also has issue with the battery. The cell is Samsung 30Q and the performance often goes down after several times of draining and charging, light doesn't get to maximum Turbo 3200(only 2000). Changing to more consistent and higher Amp battery will solve the issue. VTC6 or Samsung 25R are good for this flashlight.
I really appreciate your humility, and also your superb analytical problem-solving skills.

My flap fell off and i now like the operation so much better, no more problems.
I appreciate the video! Great integrity! You are a man of honor!
I've just reviewed the XT11R and I'm pressing both together again! Took me ages to remember the iffy design
Thank you for your explanation. I have the same issue! I will also be careful to press the primary only.
Always a pleasure, Happy New Year, Doc!
Great to see you coming clean and clearing the manufacturers name
You are a good man and a problem solver. Thank you.

I was debating to buy which one I choose Fenix PD36R and XT11X. Probably I'm gonna buy PD36R, Thank you for sharing!
Not a flashlight person, a knife person, just here to see a fresh vid by Virtuovice!
Ahhhhhhhh ! Good Detective work..

Is the switch loose, it sounds loose. Needs tightening
Why do you do more videos in your japanese channel then English one ??????????
User error. It happens. 👍👍
These Keeppower batteries are the best!
sympa !
Happy New Year
It's still at least partly the fault of Klarus - bad design of the switch arrangement!
Get a Surefire flash Waco
Just bad design tbh, not your fault.
