Singing is a big part of every Filipino's life. Since the Philippines is primarily Christian, singing starts in the home in family morning and evening worships then in the school, then in church,and for home entertainment, Filipinos love to sing whether using an instrument or singing accompanied by karaoke or videoke. Singing while working is a sign that one loves his work so much and Filipinos do that. It's a whole singing country.

Doe...you were right about $$$ signs in Simon's eyes. He saw them with 4th Power (Now 4th Impact) but never signed them and now they have gone Independent. Gonna be a harder road for them but they have never given up. Here we are almost 20 years later than when they first sung as a group together and they sound better than ever.

I am a Filipino and in our school before you graduate you have learn how to sing without getting out of tune, our teacher in music (who also teach in the popular university before) check our voice 1 by 1 then separate the bass , soprano, alto, and tenor. He teach us a one piece of song then perform it in our graduation just like choir . I saw it as an opportunity to found out if I can sing, since I don't like to sing. Then suddenly, my teacher confuse on where he will put me because he said I can do both soprano and bass, But he decided to assigned as a Bass leader since they're few😂😅 I wanna share this because if you was like me who don't like singing you have a chance to nurture your voice and what talent inside you♡♡♡

I’m Filipino and can’t sang for my life. But as an audience, I want to see originality, personality and ATTITUDE from Pinoy singers!!! Can’t be too humble.
I remember my music teacher says, as long a you speech and talk, you can sing as well just put melody and rhythm, and all moms where singing lullabies to put child to sleep. Maybe that’s why pilipino can sing. Got it from the mom’s heart singing lullabies ❤️

Any more, when I watch these uber-talented Filipinos on any show that Simon Cowell has anything to do with, I have to force myself to tune him out, so I can enjoy the performance. Most of these folks are head and shoulders above anyone else on the show, talentwise, and despite that fact, I have yet to see *anyone* from the Philippines actually win. After the debacle with the AGT champions show here recently, I lost all respect for that show, and pretty much any other 'talent' show that Cowell has his fingers in. All scripted, no talent required.. nothing but a popularity contest with a controlled outcome. I love you gals to death, but I had to get that off my chest.🙂 I hope the both of you and your families are doing well, while we're in the midst of this crazy virus scare. Agreed. It is so rare that the best participant actually wins. Marcelito Pomoy is an exception, he won PGT in 2011. Morissette came 4th ... which is such a LOL, she's probably among the top 3 singers on the planet. Ah, well, she made her way, as true talent usually does.
