You know I was looking and looking at my RUclips notifications and just waiting for Caserio to make a pick for us and I’ve come to the conclusion that Caserio put together a rag tag o line last year and they did so well so I really think Caserio‘s gonna come up with a plan and a pick And I think we’re gonna be great
Strouds Time to Throw (TTT) vs Jets was an abysmal 3.92s and his Average Depth of Target (ADOT) was 15.6y. His ADOT in the win against the Browns was 10.5y and his TTT was 2.46s. In comparison, the least pressured QBs in the NFL this year are Baker Mayfield and Aaron Rodgers. Whose TTTs are 2.68s and 2.52s respectively. And ADOTs are 6.8y and 7.5y respectively. Texans need a quick game like they had last year, that's the key difference we've been missing. I pulled all stats from PFF Premium.
Now interpret those stats and talk about what we saw on Thursday. 3.92 seconds to throw those are including scramble time, meaning he is running for his life. His Adot of 15.6 means nobody was getting open underneath and they were blanketing the short routes and playing Tank man to man with very good corner play. PFF is great. Your suggestion would be worth exploring if this were an issue with only the scheme, the problem is at its core the offensive line.
@mellomike4012 My interpretation is that with an O-line this bad you MUST have a good quick game like they had last year. You can't fix the O-line mid season, but you can adjust your scheme and focus to emphasize a better quick game. As for your stat, the Jets were only in man coverage on about 20% of snaps. The Texans were unable to navigate the Jets zone coverage. I think it's worth pointing out that both Hutch and Metchie played 20 more snaps than Woods, and neither of them caught a ball. Bad talent evaluation. Collins, Dell, and Woods should be getting the majority of the snaps going forward until Hutch and Metchie can be more reliable. And whatever it takes, no matter who is at fault, the quick game MUST be fixed, because it's impossible to fix the O-line this season.
@@mellomike4012I hear you but, somehow slowik and demeco are allergic to the second half😭, let’s be real here until cj puts his foot down and call out the obvious, he’s going to be running for his life the rest of the season😣
@@Ian.langford823 Correctable things, Patterson can call the line shifts more competently than Scruggs. CJ has to watch more tape in order to better identify the blitz and adjust his protections. Between Kendrick and Scruggs we need to find out who is the better left guard. We have to be able to pick up the free runners and clean up the protection, then we can focus on hitting them behind the blitz with either slants or hot routes. The first order of business is getting it blocked up front, then we can get CJ’s clock back on time with the receivers.

Demeco is too nice, or he is hiding how he feels about certain players and coaches, which is also bad. Those not doing a good job need to be called out. His not doing so makes Demeco look incompetent or clueless. I have faith in him, but if he continues down this path, it's wavering. That old saying that games are won and lost in the trenches is about as accurate as it gets. The defense is much better than the offense this year because of the trenches. The OLine is hot garbage, and we let 2 journeymen from the OLine in the offseason, Fant and Dieter, walk. They weren't world-beaters but had what it took between the ears to get the job done. We went from a mediocre OLine to one of the worst in the NFL. There isn't a quarterback in the NFL who could thrive behind this group. Fix the line and the overly conservative play calling, and we will go from frauds to contenders in 2 seconds flat.
Ok, understand that 10% of what everyone sees is the public perception that is projected. What we as fans, media, and other organizations are not shown is what is being said in locker rooms behind closed doors. Have you ever worked for someone that constantly told you, that you suck? Or publicly berated you? You have to understand Demeco has to coach this team beyond the losses or wins in a given week. He has to manage the morale of his players and find ways to establish their confidence levels. He would lose the locker room if he went out every week and said this guy sucked, this guy didn’t do his job.
@@d777b I wouldn’t say that. I believe behind the scenes most players would not want to be on the receiving end of a Ryan’s ass chewing. there’s clearly issues in the locker room based on CJ’s post conf comments some players are not buying in Demeco needs to fix it 🙄

Landry can we not mention Watson anymore, let's move on man, come on.
I can easily see CJ wanting a trade if he keeps getting beat up and his teammates dont show the desire to win . Hopefully he doesnt like massages.
