Most of the diy kit for less than $20 on Amazon are solenoid compatible and have pressure release valves. Paintball c02 can ($25), refill ($5), fzone c02 regulator ($75).
I never knew these citric acid systems existed tbh.
Well I bought one. I was using the baking soda citric acid. Would run out too fast and was a mess. Admittedly i bought this for the aesthetic.
Would be useful to show how a solenoid can be added to this system* and what could be used instead of the expensive Fluvial activator and booster. *I've read that adding CO2 overnight could be dangerous for fish and in any event wasteful if plants don't use the CO2 overnight. Seems to me that without a solenoid, it is just one step away (safety) from a plastic bottle.
Great content again dude
Can you help me please just need help because i don't understand why while added check valve do the second airline which is connected to the bubble difuser just 1bubble is coming out per few hours even when is on full but without check velve and difusser is a lot 🫧why???what done wrong? why is not going to the bubble diffuser
Ermm yeah watched you for years , great sales pitch video dude . Sorry my aquarium does not need a Co2 without a seliniod
Thanks, I believe it can be added to this system if you wanted. DIY is not as good as proper canister co2 I agree. This unit is kind of in between the two
@@EverydayAquarist I just feel with fluvals name and power they could have done there version of colombo end of day it's just a baking soda and citric acid reactor. So my feeling is newbies will buy it not understanding because its fluval it will KILL fish
That Fzone CO2 system seems pretty reliable according to a lot of reviews. I'm not sure if I want to deal with all the trimming of all those lush plants. Also, I have regular aquarium lighting not super lighting so maybe lots of CO2 would require me to spend even more money on new lighting....!
I'm more into my plants having better growth. So I'm trying the passive bell diffusion CO2 method. We'll see what happens. I've heard some positive results and it's not nearly as expensive a dive into CO2.
Hello, I could have a blue tang (paracanthurus hepatus) in my macroalgae tank? since I saw that you have a tomini tang in your macroalgae tank

Only ctenocheatus tangs
Thanks, beautifull your macroalgae reef tank and your videos, i am from Perú.
Don’t bother with yeast and use Citric acid and baking powder instead
How long does that last?
So CO2 systems with solenoids can explode? I'm trying to learn the mechanics and the pitfalls of CO2 models before I even consider investing. This, plus questioning my needs for new investments...do I want all the extra maintenance of extensive plant growth? Do I really want to invest in new lighting that is probably required once CO2 is injected? It's great to learn new things though and getting better. There's just no one way to progress. I do appreciate the aquascapes that people do achieve with high tech. Is that my path....is something else.
It’s too high quality for diy…. If you’re willing to spend the cash on this … buy a proper co2 system
DIY still has a problem with dumping co2.. so you need the regulator.
If it cost £15 quid fine..anything more no.. it’s £160!! This is something I’d want.. butt not at the price.. as in I want co2. But not a pressurised canister under the tank for safety even if it’s at the middle. It should be middle price.. sub 80 for large version with 1 year or 2 co2 would be a package before you go to full co2. 160 plus monthly costs is way too much
Just looked up co2 art…. £180
Yeah I think it's a really nice product but potentially too much for the problem it's trying to solve? This is why I was struggling to place it's user base
Just buy a proper co2 kit
I don’t have anywhere to fill co2 around my area and I’m not driving 2 hours for it so I’m trying it, hopefully it works good enough for me.
😂Not at that price the tropica bio c02 is only 20 pound
Tried one, wouldn't recommend. 0/10. You can make this exact system with a pop bottle or two for less than $20, vs these over priced tin cans for $200+. If you want to go DIY like this, go with a citric acid system, not the sugar/yeast.
