Ah memories of 6th grade! I played the flute for 3 years in middle school and it absolutely drained me. Those long notes always made me so light headed.
Every music piece has always had a comment section that was wholesome with fun stories. For those people, I say thank you and keep it up across the platform.
I almost died on this song cuz I was going from a G a Bb and while I was transitioning my spit decides to go down and choke me and coughed through my trumpet cuz it was unexpected and I ended going from a G to a High E or something and my teacher fussed at me for doing that I was like bitch I almost died
My band teacher makes us go way faster at 0:27. Also ALTO SAXES!!! He called me slow in class for playing faster then this. But we always find a way to slow it back down to the normal speed.
1:08 is where I would get shives down my spine because of how beautiful it is and I played this 2-3 years ago but in 2:25 we would give it our all and blast it to make it more interesting and everyone loved it even though it wasn't quite right at first
@@Noah-qg8fzthere is this one sax in my band he is awful. He plays the clarinet at measure 13 (0:30) and it’s awful and he really gets on my nerves. Btw I play clarinet
In my jr band (6th grade) and Senior band(7&8th) we were overpowered by flutes, clarinets, trumpets and alto sax. When we did this song for a music festival in grade 7 we got with another school. We still weren't close to equal with one bass guitar player helping me and the one other trombone player. No other brass or low instruments that I recall.
We had a regular year during covid. We missed like a month or two early 2020. And that's cause our school didnt have stuff ready and said screw it. But all of covid full regular in school. Which was great
Ex-Sousaphone Tuba player reporting. Played this in middle school '08. I remember lugging that huge piece of equipment around, would i do it again? Hell ya i would!
Five or six days ago I attended NYSSMA from my school band and this was the ending song that we played and like 3-4 days after that we had to give our band teacher all our music papers it was very sad.
0:30 i love the way the clarinet section is made! I played this song at a concert a month ago and boy was it fun 😂 No i don’t play the clarinet, i am a trombonist and the trombone section was actually a little tricky to do but i still enjoyed it
Played this in seventh grade on trumpet. This was when i first moved to my new school and my band director just hands me three pieces. All for one one for all by Carol Britin Chambers, Imperium by Michael Sweeney, and Dark Adventure by Brian Balmages. All of them were pretty fun, but I liked this one most for its snare part.
This is my last year of high school. I had fun playing many many nice songs during concert band, but this one is and will always be my #1 song. This song is so beautiful but, the ending is just so magnificent! The way the trumpets sound like they do in war movies and all the other instruments coming together. It’s so amazing. I always picture my accomplishments whenever I listen to it and it makes me feel so happy. I love it so much and I will miss band:))
This song was so good last year. My class was at festival and the snare messed up the solo towards the end, the judicaters didn't notice so we ended up with a one
We played this in band when I was in 7th grade. In 2004. It's amazing to think that was so long ago. The melody after the percussion at around 1:32 has resonated with me ever since I heard this peice. That drop from B flat to A to A flat was mindblowing to me for some reason. It's my favorite piece we ever played in band.
Played this song when I was 12 for our regionals honors band. I was completely lost at first lol & again in 8th grade which was a breeze for me . 1st Clarinet 🤘🏽
I remember doing this but orchestra combined with band and all of those high notes we did was great I miss playing the violin :( also the guy who did the solo drum part did so good like really good!(his name is Gus) we played this for an all arts show thing for the 4th graders, the parents, and the whole school, and it was so fun I made new friends,we played this for a play called “Save the queen” which the acting teacher made himself, there was choir, dance, and the tech people,it was sooo good, and the best of all we art people were dismissed from school WAY EARLIER LIKE 5 or 6 Hours earlier to rehearse everything:D I miss it sooo much :(

its cause for some instruments its moderately fast
