She sounds really good when she sings in a light voice, but she can't stay in that octave because it's not her true zone, her true octave is deep and she sounds awful. She does good in videos and in studios, because it's controlled by the producers standards but live is not as controlled because they have their own musicians. I'm just realizing this because I've never really looked at her live shows.
Sis she's a lyric soprano her true range is actually up there she jsut uses that tone so she can dance and not get tired some perfomances where she uses her natural tone is ( "journey to the past" and "the one i gave my heart to") her natrul tone is kimda high and soft
I agree with everyone on here who opposed Stacy Turner's mindless comment. She colored it nicely in the beginning; too bad she couldn't hold it. That's her vocal range and it's unique. Her voice is something I can easily harmonize with and her energy is spectacular. RIP Aaliyah...🙏🙏🙏
