Come to think of it..I have indeed seen the respective hand being higher than the other for the throws..but I never saw it as being very significant in gameplay(counters) My Goodness this game is really very technical indeed...Ok I really have some work cut out for me...This game is absolutely amazing in many respects!!!Believe me you just help me out A LOT there SERIOUSLY!!! THANKS MUCH...
Yeah, Bruce is one of the harder characters to get the dash foward with. I'm an old Street Fighter too, but Tekken drew me in w/ the concept of a button for each limb. Btw, my favorite 2D fighter was Killer Instinct. Thanks for the comment :)
Tuffadandem -- Every character has 2 standard throws: RP+RK & LP+LK. When you do the RP+RK, you'll notice that your character's right arm is higher than the left, & it must be escaped by pressing RP immediately. Likewise, when LP+LK is done, the left arm is higher, & so LP is used to escape. Most other throws are escaped by pressing LP+RP, & you'd notice that the thrower's arms are level. Check it all out in Defensive Training in Practice Mode with the Hit Analysis turned on. And thanks :)
exdas -- I usually don't use the PS buttons, because you can go in Controller Setup and switch them. The game uses LP for Left Punch and so on, so that's what I've always used. Default settings are LP = square button (1) RP = triangle button (2) LK = x button (3) RK = circle button (4) The Command List tells you how each move is done, but I'd like to help so if I get time later I'll try to remember to PM you some notations.
WanderxRebirth -- I'm sorry if I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "how do you do juggles?" "Button mashing" is when an inexperienced player just randomly mashes buttons. Doing these juggles requires just the opposite. If you're new to the series, I recommend looking through the Command List for your favorite character and spending some time trying things out in Practice Mode. Practice always improves performance, so good luck and have fun :)
CobraFists -- After you dash forward, you have to pause slightly before beginning the next attack. In other words, when you tap "forward, forward" make sure you don't hit a button at the same time as the second forward tap. Let there be a split second pause and it will not result in an unintended attack.
Welly86 -- As someone who's been playing Tekken since Tekken 1, I can say that yes the game has changed quite a bit, but aside from the addition of walled arenas, if you're familiar with Tekken 3 you should be able to pick it back up with no problem. Keep in mind though that Tekken 4 is completely different; they kinda got off base with that one, but if you like Tekken and haven't played 5 you owe it to yourself to check it out.
EarthSh4ker -- I use characters that are medium size and weight as opponents in my videos to show that the juggles will work on any character and not just the big characters, unlike some of the juggles in other people's videos that only work against Jack5 or Marduk for example. I use a different opponent in each video, Lee just happened to be the one in this one.
thebuckestnicca -- There are some subtle differences in 5 and DR, so some of these may not work, but I haven't had time to see which ones specifically have been changed.
Wh1teMist -- I don't know which one you're asking about. There are 4 shown in the video and they are all listed in the Description Box and the Command List in the Pause Menu of the game will show you exactly how to do them.
WanderxRebirth -- Yeah, you just gave the perfect desription of what juggling is. Sorry I misunderstood. When an opponent is in the air, they can't do anything, so it's a golden opportunity to dish out as much free damage as you can via juggles. Often a good juggle can make all the difference between winning or losing a match.
crookedletterk- I was hoping if u have any combos videos for Bryan with instructions like this one I have a few of my own but i want to increase my juggling skills thanx good vid
ph1087 -- Some characters can wave dash, and some can also wave dash backwards, but yeah tapping Back, Back is the typical dash backwards. Not all of the characters respond to the same timing inputs, but I know what you mean; some players seem to jerk step in all directions when not attacking. I've never gotten into that & I think it's useless for the most part, but I guess my style is just different.
EXCELLENT VIDEO.PERFECTLY EXPLAINED JUGGLES!!5/5 I have a question 4 any1 tho.How do you counter a tackle to the floor such that you roll over and end up on top of the opponent..for example (Kazuya's ULTIMATE TACKLE and PUNCH) I got it once by luck but I dont even kno what I pressed...another question I have is that of countering/escaping throws in general. The booklet says that u must press triangle but to me that only worked for certain throws against certain oponents.please help me.
hazzard -- Some combos that work in Tekken 5 don't work in Tekken DR, but I haven't had time to weed thru all of them and find out exactly which all have changed.
ph1087 -- It's hard to say which character I'll make a vid for next, and it's even harder to say when I'll have time to make the next vid at all; sorry. The only Bryan juggle I have posted so far is in my video called "30 Tekken 5 Combos," but I know you've already seen that.
alright thanx just let me know when u post one. Oh and another question I know how to move but i noticed pro players are able to space in and out very quickly. pressing bb doesn't seem to move out quickly enough. I guess I'm thinkin of some kind of wavedash. Hope u understand wat I'm saying. I'm trying to go from a good player to a competitive type of player
love the vid, hows this any launcher F,3,4 B,3,4,3? i seem to land that frequently..when not using the PSP dpad, and it gets 66 with knee launcher, 51 with ti sok ran and 54 with jumping rk wish there was something easier to land and perform with more damage
hi you have to get to the final in story mode with some caracteres. i end: king, Hwoarang, Steve Fox, Yoshimitsu, Jin Kazama, Christie Monteiro, Bryan Fury, Jack-5, Raven, Asuka Kazama, Bruce Irvin .... well, you have to see the story of the most common caracteres. any level of dificulty is valid. good kicks
camarada911 -- Once you hit an opponent into the air, they are completely helpless until they hit the ground, so if you don't attack them while they are in the air (in other words, if you don't juggle) then you're just wasting an opporunity. If you're playing to win then you will do the most damage possible while you can, since, like I said, they are completely helpless in that moment.
busterwolf123 -- I prefer to use the PS controller and the Directional Pad, but I think it's a personal preferrence. And the television shouldn't affect the speed of the game; I've never heard of that
is it actually much easier to do insane combos using arcade stick compares to joysticks? also does the frequency of the tv affects the movement of the characters as well? i played in my friend's home n it feels slower than usual...
well...almost.. we were doing juggles back in tekken 2 and revamped them in tekken 3. the thing is that all these tekken juggles were actually hitbox glitches that became the norm when tekken 4 came out cuz people by that time became familiar with them thanks of course to the japanese! lol
can u make christie vids pls! cuz im a christie lover and im doing a research on how to improve my skills! actually got my first invented combo life percentage when the combo is done estimated to 20%/100% the twenty is the remaining life! if i have time i will upload it so that others will see and learn!
TalkingNapkin858 -- Someone had to be the recipient :) I use a different victim in all of my videos, but I always choose someone of medium size to show that these combos can be performed on any character and not just the big ones (like Jack and Marduk).
MiSTAVi3TbOi -- Bruce is classified as a Muay Thai fighter, but I've seen a lot of commentors argue that because they say they know otherwise and recognize moves from different styles, but yeah, basically Bruce is supposed to be traditional Muay Thai.
grahamwane12345 -- If you are refering to DevilJin, then as stated before, you can beat Devil Within to unlock him. If you are refering to Jinpachi, he is not unloackable in Tekken 5 for the PS2.
Ogrenix -- I just posted 2 new vids. One is called "30 Tekken 5 Combos" (juggles) and the other is a compilation of King's and Armor King's chain-throws (since my old chain-throw vid didn't include A. King). Let me know what you think :)
trust me man, if u have seen the way king of fighters maximum impact 2 play on 50hz and on the 60hz tv, then u'll see the HUGE speed difference...the reason i asked u tat question was related to tekken 5, cos it felt weird when i was playing on my friend's tv(kinda slowish)...thx anyway
it really wouldnt make a difference cuz u can do da same combo on kuma n do da same on some 1 small like nina.....its all according 2 ur skill n timing
well im tellin u dat this setup works and 4 ya info Scamco reprogrammed DR so certain hit boxes 5.0 dont exist nemore....and DR is da most glitchiest of all 3
I miss the Tekken 2 cheats. I only remember the 1st person wireframe mode, super juggle mode, and super deform mode. Wish those were included in the older games, along with Dr. Boskonovich's cheap ass.
@FIGHTFANNERD3 I Actually will not play tekken anymore if they remove the juggle combo try tekken 4 the worst tekken in the series imo because juggles are difficult to perform
this is awesome!!!! thanks for the upload buddy!
Thanks man,now I'll be able to use Bruce more properly.
Xeleas -- No, I haven't made a whole video for Law yet, but if I do I'll be sure to let you know.
Come to think of it..I have indeed seen the respective hand being higher than the other for the throws..but I never saw it as being very significant in gameplay(counters) My Goodness this game is really very technical indeed...Ok I really have some work cut out for me...This game is absolutely amazing in many respects!!!Believe me you just help me out A LOT there SERIOUSLY!!! kalabayuhas -- Sorry. It's the "Right Straight to Low High Kick Combo." (It's #11 in the Command List) RP, down+RK, LK. Thanks for the comment :)
EarthSh4ker -- I use characters that are medium size and weight as opponents in my videos to show that the juggles will work on any character and not just the big characters, unlike some of the juggles in other people's videos that only work against Jack5 or Marduk for example. ravenven -- It's short for Low-High Kick Combo. "Right Straight to LHKC" is the way it's labeled in the Command List.
Bruce is so much fun to combo with
thebuckestnicca -- There are some subtle differences in 5 and DR, so some of these may not work, but I haven't had time to see which ones specifically have been changed.
Juggling is EXACTLY what tekken is famous for.. Outrageous characters, Breasts and Rediculously over-the-top combos.
Wh1teMist -- I don't know which one you're asking about. There are 4 shown in the video and they are all listed in the Description Box and the Command List in the Pause Menu of the game will show you exactly how to do them.

Nice 5.0 Bruce combos.

Oh! I thought you said that in a negative way... nevermind and may the combos be with you.
yoshimitsublade123 -- Yeah I did use the Bruce Special. It's in Double Elbow #4, Knee Launcher #1 and #5, and Ti Sok Ran #1.
oh yeah... Back when youtube did not have replies.
This is making me feel old man 🤣
great combos :O

good combos, did u kno u can fit in 5 of those knees in. Do 2 then the full 3.

works in 5.0 5.1 and 5.2(DR)
MiSTAVi3TbOi -- Bruce is classified as a Muay Thai fighter, but I've seen a lot of commentors argue that because they say they know otherwise and recognize moves from different styles, but yeah, basically Bruce is supposed to be traditional Muay Thai.
those combo are simple but very usefull
wait, how are u doing that tho, without making it ur dash attacks?
bruce and feng are the best
juggling is when you keep target in air with hits so it cant hit the ground
how do u do bruces juggle launch D:
I think jack-5 is 4 starters easy to play and very powerful. just as hwoarang, baek, ganryu, steve...basically these r the characters 4 starters.
grahamwane12345 -- If you are refering to DevilJin, then as stated before, you can beat Devil Within to unlock him. If you are refering to Jinpachi, he is not unloackable in Tekken 5 for the PS2.
omg #8) Bull Dog Bite / foward+RP / Triple Knee Combo {76} ... imba !!! now i know why its so damn difficult to play against him haizzz
can u make one for him in tekken 6? realy need it :[
Ogrenix --
I just posted 2 new vids. One is called "30 Tekken 5 Combos" (juggles) and the other is a compilation of King's and Armor King's chain-throws (since my old chain-throw vid didn't include A. King). Let me know what you think :)
so these work for DR for PS3?
depends on how well u play
Nice...I like! :)
trust me man, if u have seen the way king of fighters maximum impact 2 play on 50hz and on the 60hz tv, then u'll see the HUGE speed difference...the reason i asked u tat question was related to tekken 5, cos it felt weird when i was playing on my friend's tv(kinda slowish)...thx anyway
ahahahahahahahaaaaa... end is funy, combos cool man!
it really wouldnt make a difference cuz u can do da same combo on kuma n do da same on some 1 small like nina.....its all according 2 ur skill n timing
CobraFists -- You just dash forward by tapping Forward, Forward quickly.
AWW, only some of these connect in Dark Resurrection.
im gonna try those combo lol
i play lei ,bruce ,baek and yoshi
i use lei the most tho hes the man and they gave him better moves in t6
thuglife0650 -- Well it'll be a while before Tekken 6 is out on the PS3, so we'll have to wait...
BRUCE EAR-VIN

Neither Hwoarang or baek are beginner characters...
I miss the Tekken 2 cheats. I only remember the 1st person wireframe mode, super juggle mode, and super deform mode. Wish those were included in the older games, along with Dr. Boskonovich's cheap ass.
Muay Thai is a form of kick boxing
no way is steve for starters, hes way too complicated. plus hes a god tier character. so yea deff not for starters
And most do more damage.
@TalkingNapkin858
no
u must be hatting "lee" cause in every example u fight against him in practice :P
Poor lee chaolan.
You really hate Lee don't you
@FIGHTFANNERD3 I Actually will not play tekken anymore if they remove the juggle combo
try tekken 4 the worst tekken in the series imo because juggles are difficult to perform
poor lee lmao
