Thank you for your question. Are you asking about the insurance adjuster requesting a second IME or you wanting to get an IME performed? Usually, an insurance company can choose to get more than one IME done but you are usually limited to one IME that you can make the insurance company pay for. I am sorry to hear that you are dealing with frustrations on getting the physical therapy approved. Hello gm.. Adjuster wanted a second ime but cancel week before. Why would they cancel a revaluation on a Ime? Thanks

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, there are a number of reasons that an adjuster could cancel an IME so it would be very difficult to know why that occurred in your particular situation.

I got my qme report and I was at 18 percent wpi and now I just got my report from the insurance company it says that I’m only 9 percent disability rating. Why would it be so low, my apportionment is 100 percent from industrial.

Thank you for your question. It sounds like you have two different medical opinions about the amount of your permanent partial disability rating. Different doctors often have different opinions about the extent of your disability. In a Georgia workers' compensation case, you can request a hearing about the amount of your permanent partial disability rating if the insurance company is paying the lower rating. If you want to look into that, I would recommend speaking with an attorney about your case to determine the best approach for doing that.

@@GeorgiaWorkersCompLawyer the qme report seems to be in my favor which other doctor would lower the report? Would it be the insurance side?
