What would green even do? Maybe a minus on hit, death on block move that hard knockdowns on uncharged hit if they’re airborne, and a charged one is maybe -2 on hit and -6 on block and hard knockdowns on any hit. Think a crossover of red and white wild assault that focuses on knockdowns instead of extending combos or skipping neutral. It would also probably be as fast as red wild assault, probably a bit slower even by a couple frames.
The one thing I hate about love about ABA, is that she is not for any of Baikens 21 gimmicks. As soon as ABA gets jealous, he turns into Baiken... 21 gimmicks and all.
Of course she can convert a random far slash into the first hit of the rekka, let it recover and still connect into 2D into a full air juggle combo from danzai...
Complaining about a character being able to convert far slashes into damaging combos in Strive is rather pointless. Especially, when Aba is her install which is supposed to be overpowering.
I see people calling A.B.A OP, but I think it's too early to say. I don't think anyone can argue she's bad, but I don't think she'll end up being OP. My reasoning is that I don't think A.B.A is consistent enough to be considered one of the best characters in the game, in the sense that even though she can survive in her base form, she very much relies on jealous rage to do anything. I'm mostly talking relative, because while I think the skill of the character is managing her meter in order to make her as consistent as possible, there are simply more consistent picks at the moment imo. That being said, regardless of whether she is OP or not, I think she is what a good character should look like, in the sense that this character is very skill intensive. Every single decision in a game playing this character should be based around managing her meter, and this is consistent with all of the top matches I've seen her in. I'm honestly excited to be learning this character.
A.B.A is not necessarily overpowered, but she is considered A+ tier in Asia - which means she is a strong, tournament-viable character. I understand that it may seem a bit too early to have a solid tier placement for her, but the character is just about completely figured out at this point, and that is where it landed according to multiple top Asia players. Moreover, fortunately for many people, Gobou said A.B.A is recommended for beginners - so even people who have never played a GG game before can pick her up and have fun. Unfortunately, the highly technical, skill-intensive character that lives and dies by the management of your meter and the player's situation awareness is Asuka - but if you don't plan on playing him, then please disregard what I said - because Gobou stated that he's the hardest character in the game to play...
@@waitingforzato-1i-noinguil301 Well, Asuka is a character that has an insanely high skill floor AND ceiling, meaning that beginners can't really pick him up, but he has so much potential if you master him. A.B.A has a low skill floor, but, in my opinion, an incredibly high skill ceiling. So yeah, while beginners can pick her up and perform, she has so much potential if you master her, there is so much room for skill expression with this character. I absolutely agree that A.B.A is strong, like I would not be surprised if she gets top 8s relatively consistently. But what I was tryna say is that she's not on the level of the top top tier characters who consistently win tournaments (imo). But to be fair, only time will tell I suppose.
