You know, one of the best things about being in my 50's now is that I lived my teenage years in the 80's..........Priceless and I wouldn't change them for the world!
Chris 100% i could smell the first hint of relax from the DJ booth ,i was up there ,then everyone got up .the sounds are endless and brings so many memories back
☺😀 FINALLY - after 36 years, Frankie goes to Hollywood has performed again with the original cast. I've been waiting for this for so long...Thanks Holly Johnson / Paul Rutherford / Mark O'Toole / Brian "Nasher" Nash & Peter "Ped" Gill 😀☺
My God that brought back memories! Frankie might have been short-lived, but they left an indelible mark on the 80’s and beyond. Summer 84 was the height of ‘Frankie Say Relax’ tee shirts too. Seemed like every other kid was wearing one ❤
Shows that the amazing 80s music is timeless. We loved them in the 80s, danced to it, drove to it fast, enjoying great tunes that are uplifting and they still rock. Timeless and ageless. Incredible and I just turned 57 and still enjoy this music just the same, if not even more, knowing that it was one of the last eras of great music, the 80s.
Imagine getting an absolute phenomenon like Frankie back together after 30+ years and only letting them perform one song??!! Amazing band/performance and brought back a lot of memories, hope this inspires them to do more gigs
The guys, though gray, are quite cheerful and full of energy. There hasn't been a single day since 1984 that I haven't listened to at least one creation of this divine collective.
Memory's flooding back!..my 14 year old self going into John menzies and asking the lady if my copy of welcome to the pleasuredome was in yet?.. Lol. Would love it if we got more from this amazing band.
BRILLIANT to see these guys back together performing again, such an 80s iconic song! Holly and Paul still have great vocals. Paul Rutherford is a total LEGEND!
This has completely put a smile on my face today. They looked great and they sounded great. Tremendous throwback to a fabulous era of music, art, culture and politics of which Frankie were very much at the intersection.
Piss poor performance. Holly and Paul were singing as for the band Peter Gill played the hi-hat, no snare (but where was the snare coming form?) Bass guitarist never moved his fingers on fret board and although it looked good it truly is difficult to get a synthesizer sound coming out of a guitar. Finally if you're after another sound coming from the guitar make sure the pedal is at your feet when you press it.
Wow. Enjoyed that WAY more than I expected to. Suddenly I'm 14 again. Made me realise exactly whats missing from pop music now. Charisma. Mystery. TALENT.
Bless yr heart for this. Beyond brilliant. One of the most important bands EVER. Just love that they finally got back on stage together. And in their home city ❤❤❤❤❤ Frankie Says Relax
Fantastic. Got the album when it came out on my 16th birthday and been a fan ever since. Hope they tour next year. Paul Rutherford looks like your uncle that has a mid life crisis and goes to Ibiza for a holiday.
just watched the VH1 Reunite the Band yesterday and glad to see they've put their differences behind them. Funny that so many of my friends high school/ college aged kids love the music we were into when we were their age. Miss the crazy 80s
I'm absolutely overwhelmed 😮 how Amazing what a fantastic appearance. I'm almost crying with relief to see this fantastic band to play yet another part of British history. They are a true legacy of great North Britain music legends 🎉 x Please tour again so we can all say Thank You x
Wow! In such fine voice(s) after all these years. What a fantastically unexpected surprise to see them all together again. 40th anniversary tour next year?
@@peterschmitz6446 Well, i was living in Italy at the time, and it was not a hit t all. Not a hit in the US either. But, yes, the 14-minute version is brilliant and so far ahead of its time.
I was a DURAN nut still am at heart Was 16 when I saw Frankie live Saw them 5 times in all Still got the vinyl and the 12 ich remixes Some t shirts Fabulous 80s Saw Duran Japan Visage Ultravox They were fekin loud Great times I'm 54 now Still grooving I do the dad dance when ever the kids are naughty it's the best punishment by far It's my only punishment actually love to all you New Roms out there 🎹🎺🎻🎙️🎼🎵🎶🎸😊❤️♠️🙉🙊🙈🍀
They were way ahead of their time in the 80's this still sounds good today. I'm so glad I grew up listening to the music of 70's 80's and 90's it was so much better then.... Anyone want to get in my time machine and go back? 😬
He vuelto a los gloriosos 1980's. Espero que graben otro álbum, lo piden urgente los fans. Saludos desde Argentina.
Without a doubt, the best band of the 1980s. From the pre signed appearance on THE TUBE I was hooked. Good to see the lads happy together. 36 years obliterated in a few minutes.
The first time I saw Frankie goes to Hollywood was back in November 1984 at a live concert and after 39 years, it’s great to see them perform together again.
Right !!! I would have loved to see them perform their cover of Ferry.... I know I cried through it, a friend was on the right and did facebook lives over the evening so I could watch 1/3 of the way around the world.
The title album (33rpm) was fantastic at the time and artwork just wow! Very overlooked, underated L.P that hardly gets a mention these days and should be up there in the hall of fame with dark side of the moon and the likes.
Still got my vinyl copy that I bought on release, and it still surprises me any time it goes on the turntable for a spin. It's a very accomplished piece of work. Brilliantly produced too.
Amazing to see them all back together and the magic is still there …nothing like this today, growing up in the 80’s I feel blessed, thanks guy for bringing that magic back 👍😎
Good to see them together again! That was a fantastic album! Very empowering for us youngster at the time too! FGTH forever!!! Funny, I was just wearing their t-shirt the other day. Two tribes would be very relevant today too.
Seen Holly live many times on his own at various retro festivals. Not sure what it is, but having the band back together playing this song hits different. What a tune!
Thank you for filming the guitarist, so we can clearly see how he plays on this song. This will allow me to work on it. The two introductory harmonics are so great !
I will be 67 when my daughter gets married next year. This and two tribes will be on my dance list at her reception. Thankyou for recording them in the first place. Awesome
Blimey, they look so old!! Then I realised I’m 52 and no longer the 12” buying teenager who raided the record shops for the Frankie remixes in the 80s. As others have said PLEASE TOUR !!!!!!!!

Same here.
Ya somos 2....relax.
Calling all the 80s teens.......... How good were Frankie !!! Great memories!! Woo Hoo!!!
Not just 80's teens, but 80's kids as well!
Awesome 80s stuff, not like most shite today.
I was 18, now I'm 57. But they were bloody great, and still fantastic here. 80's teenagers are the best xxxxxx
Was 23 in 84, saw FGTH in Heaven, late '83 or early '84. And yes bought the Frankie Say Relax T-Shirt etc
Love them
Born in the late 70s and a huge Frankie fan ❤
Never thought I’d see Holly back with the lads. My favourite group of all time and the absolute highlight of my eighties.

Genuine THANKS for putting any differences aside just for one night/one song. Promise you lads, it was worth it. Love 'n Peace. 🥰
Agreed. I remember watching their interview years ago, they couldn't stay in same room very long. I think Holly walked out.
Time heals wounds. Decades have passed and they are back together
I think they are too old to care
Great band. They would have ruled the music world if they had stayed together!

Frankie should represent the UK in Eurovision! Holly is a great live singer.
Good call 👍🏻
Yer , if he stays on the Stage longer enough ? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@Theoriginalbigbrillo still simmering tension between Paul and Holly!
Brilliant, they should get back together and make some new music,❤❤
Still got the voice
One of the best albums ever. Bangers from start to finish
One of the greatest Albums Trevor Horn ever made ... whoops, I meant Frankie ever made.
This brought a huge smile to my face 🙏🤩 I hope they continue to play together 🤩

They only played one song Yer Blert..........................................
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"The Power of Love" is a Masterpiece! The whole EP...
Also THX to Trevor Horn!
Well said brother.. Me too
One of the best bass lines ever 👍
Better, MUCH better than nearly everything from the music charts today. Perfect pop song.
Paul is as high as a kite just from being there. How can you not feel this with him? A beautiful moment. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Superb great to see them all together on stage enjoying themselves, such an exciting band back in the day and they’ve still got it. ❤👊🏻

And the artwork on the album was amazing. The Relax 12inch cover was incredible.
I still remember buying my cassette, £5.99 from Woolworths! Lol. Good old days❤
This is fantastic. My favourite Frankie track. My cherished 12" vinyl played often. Thanks for sharing.
BRILLIANT to see these guys back together performing again, such an 80s iconic song! Holly and Paul still have great vocals. Paul Rutherford is a total LEGEND!
Can't take my eyes of Paul Rutherford - love his energy!
Excellent to see them perform again I see Paul’s dancing hasn’t changed many 😂
Once a clone.......... 😀
Great to see this.....never expected them to ever take to the stage again, they did a great performance packed with energy... bravo guys.
My Mom says ,don't smoke after Midnight 😂😂
Absolutely fantastic. Never thought I’d see this again. Favourite band back in the day. Wish it was 1984 again.
This has completely put a smile on my face today. They looked great and they sounded great. Tremendous throwback to a fabulous era of music, art, culture and politics of which Frankie were very much at the intersection.
I hear keyboards , how??!!?
Excellent. Nice to see these guys can still do it in their 60s.
@@godintheglassVocals were live though
BOLLOCKS
@@godintheglass vocals were live, and I think they were playing to a backing track, like the part where the bassist changes it and Holly laughs....
Please make a new album, I waited long enough. The talent here is godly.
Wow... That was freakin ace, took me right back to the eighties, gonna dig out my pleasurdome album now.
Incredible performance, vocals are impeccable. Would love to see them tour. 💚

Impeccable? They were very strained, great to see them back and overall liked it though
That album was very overproduction at the time - there's a few backing tapes here - that's nothing new these days, Coldplay use them all the time.
Guys, you have to iour. 😅
They were clearly not playing live. Reminded me of Top of the Pops.
Wow. Enjoyed that WAY more than I expected to. Suddenly I'm 14 again. Made me realise exactly whats missing from pop music now. Charisma. Mystery. TALENT.
,,,what a great gig - and still the super voice of Holly :)
80's music was just on another level the artists were so talented
My fave FGH track - still listen to the extended version on a regular basis to this day
Fantastic to hear it live again - thank you for the upload.

Without Holly Johnson there is no Frankie goes to Hollywood!
Thanks for uploading this. Fantastic to see them altogether again. Paul could've put a bit of effort in to what he was wearing onstage but hey ho! 😂
Awesome
Greetings from Poland. In ‘80 FGTH was for me the sound of freedom ❤
Happy to see they back. The originals👍
OMG I got chills just listening to this...Holly sounds awesome!
Thank you for sharing, I couldn’t watch it, it wasn’t aired in my country. So great to see Franky perform again ❤️
Saw them April 1985 in Bournemouth. Was an electrifying concert.
At our ages now it's never gonna cut it. Good to see though
