@@troopertrailrunner2641 Did you flip the tire carrier over? That shifts the spare to toward the driver side a few inches. With 33's, the tire just kissed the handle and covered the lock. With the tire carrier flipped, you can use the key to open the back no problem.
nice work with the drone! man that ride-height and tire size is just pefect. Did you have any rubbing or clearance issues? What are your overall thoughts? :D
So I gotta ask about your upgrades! Why the SLX transfer case over the factory one? Same for the rear end? But really sweet setup! Makes me want to build one the same way!
SLX is just a rebadged Trooper, but it was the year that had a traditional 2Hi, 4Hi, 4Lo tcase instead of the push button 4wd that came in 99. The rear end is a 12 bolt axle instead of the modified 12 bolt that came in 99. The mid 90s axles had 4.56 gears instead of 4.30 gears, and also allows for a locker where the modified 12 bolt only has 1 locker option.
So for off-roading capability and reliability should I trade my 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo AWD to a 99 Isuzu Trooper V6 5sd? In your opinion which one would you choose.
Just picked up a '99 Trooper last week (my 2nd)!
One of the most attractive SUVs, in that color combo, IMHO.
Nive video. Im thinking of getting one. This vid made my mind up. Lol.
you don't really realize how huge the 35s are until you see the spare on the back door lol
Yep. I need a stock Trooper next to it for scale. The size is hard to appreciate in these scenes.

@@1stuart1 I flipped the one on my green trooper but still need to do the one on the white trooper. Thanks for reminding me.
@@mehGyver I'm curious if the bottom of the tire will hit the factory bumper when you flip it. My 33 is very close.

Only slight rubbing on the front mudflaps on offcamber spots.
@@troopertrailrunner2641 Nice! my front mud flaps tore off years ago haha

Good day, what brand was the poor man's front air locker? Thanks!
Great Video mate, I have two Troopers here in the UK, may I ask what is the music with this video? Thanks.
Thanks. The song is called The Colonel by Zachariah Hickman. It's free in the youtube music library.
@@mehGyver That’s great thank you, good Trooping! 👍
Very nice
