Hi, Ella! I know right. Winx dolls really seem to be one of the biggest offenders in this. I also follow MyScene dolls and while the prices there have also gone up a good deal it's nowhere near that level, but Winx still being popular to this day combined with other stuff I mentioned seems to have made these prices crazy.
finally someone makes a video of this this is getting crazy of how much a doll that is not even complete can cost around 100$ to 400$ many winx fans have told me they have been crying because they can't get a single winx doll because of these prices all of us are not made out of money not even me even jakks pacific thAT CAME out some years ago is now also pretty expensive and they are not even NIB the dolls condition does not even matter the prices is very very high i mean it is like the doll is straight up gold at this point this is getting out of hand to pay around 100$ for a naked mattel winx doll
I just recently got into Winx Club again and started re-watching the show cause of nostalgia. I used to have some dolls, but ended up throwing them out cause I felt too insecure to have them as a guy. But now I regret it cause damn, these prices are INSANE.
Oh and I agree with the quality of the new dolls. From what I remember and by comparing the dolls from old and new production the quality has gone rather bad. I barely recognise the characters by their faces with the new dolls. Then again, they look so much different in season 8 as well (for the worse in my opinion)
I'm so glad someone is finally talking about this, prices have really become ridiculous at this point. I'm happy with the collection I have right now, but I so wish I had bought more Mattel dolls when they were still relatively affordable. There's just no chance of me ever completing my GME collection, for example. I was still very young when they were sold in stores and I didn't collect dolls at that time. Imagine if someone bought all of them in store and kept them in boxes all those years... that's a small fortune right there! xD And yes, thrifting has become harder and harder, for sure! I found some gems in the past, but they're far and few between nowadays. Have you noticed as well that it differs a lot per country which dolls are considered the rarest? Tecna GME, for example, has never been that rare in the Netherlands, but Musa is, of course. Singsational Tecna and Musa are really hard to find in the Netherlands, but I believe they're not that rare in France. France and Germany definitely got the most dolls out of all European countries.

Can’t believe I got rid of them once I “grew up” and now they’re worth so much! I still have a Stella doll but that’s it, would love to get my hands on a magic bloom but... might not be possible at those crazy prices!
It is insane, i stopped collecting them because of this. I managed to complete the grail line, Glam Magic Enchantix and all of them are almost complete. I paid like 150€ for tecna and 100-ish for Musa so they where of course more pricey, but its even worse now... my cheapest was Layla (shes compplete and in good condision) won her back in 2012 in a bidding for like 40€ ... wish it was the Orginal price because it actually was when they where sold in stores :(
I had a first edition Musa in used condition with some accessories, and I purposely undersold it because I didn't care and just wanted it out of my house lol. I got sooo many messages asking about it immediately after I listed it and it was still bought lightning fast. I sold it for $15 plus $5 shipping.
Wow, I'm surprised you managed to sell it for so cheap honestly, because I feel like these days people tend to ignore listings so cheap. because they think they are being scammed. That's amazingly kind of you tho!

I couldn’t afford to get a Mattel Winx Club doll back then. But since the pandemic first began, Winx club dolls prices were affordable, so I went to Mercari and bout some. Glad I got all the glam magic dolls
I have heard that Mattel didn't like that they were selling more than their own original lines, but I'm very unsure if that is the truth or not. More likely the contract just expired or something.
@@HaldjasHelina Thank you. They did sell them in the Uk in 2006-2007 for a while but they stopped selling after the Pixie Magic dolls which is a shame. I really wanted them to sell the enchantix dolls in the Uk. I still think they should bring them back though. They are the best winx doll versions in my opinion 😊
I just got back into Winx and was thinking about GME Musa because I always wanted that doll since like I got into the show which was when I was 8 years old. It’s SUPER ridiculous because I recently saw out of box and used Musa for around $900 on eBay. It’s honestly super frustrating because it was around $600 back then in 2012 when I tried to find that doll when ofc, I first found out about the GME Musa. Literally, I’m about to give up at this point because the prices are too ridiculous. All I literally ask is for a GME Musa that is like around $50-$60 (which is not better but I don’t want to spend almost $1000 on a doll) :/
In my country, unfortunately, even the normal ones from Witti, etc. are almost not sold... The problem is that I don't even know if they were ever sold here. When I asked my mother if she had seen them somewhere when we went to the toy store together, she said yes, but not these. It's sad that we didn't have anything like that even from Jack Pacific. I dream about it when I earn money, so I will save and collect them gradually. But I have to agree that these prices are really too much.
I buy mattel Dolls from my friends And groups “jebawki” in Poland there are people who don’t know their real price. It can be immoral to some people, but 10$ for GME Flora and Stella is worth not telling this..
My grandma thinks im weird cuz i play with the winx dolls . she like really dislike their faces so i dont really play it infront of her , i was never ashamed of playign dolls even tho some random ladies made fu of me

Mattel Winx dolls havent been sold in retail in YEARS so you wont find them in the stores unless its a second hand shop-

Well, companies don't really make them anymore, so they aren't in charge of the pricing.
