The tornado touched down shortly before 3 p.m. along Old Melones Road along the south end of New Melones Lake and west of Sonora and Jamestown. Saturday's tornado in Tuolumne County damaged the Woods Creek Mobile Home Park in Jamestown. Initially, the National Weather Service Sacramento listed the tornado as having a max width of 1,000 yards (.568 miles) and a path length of .8 miles with winds peaking at 90 miles per hour.
On Monday, however, NWS corrected their numbers to a path width of just 100 yards
No injuries were reported. Though, the tornado did damage several trees and snapped at least two power poles in half, the NWS said. This came as severe thunderstorms moved east through the region. The area was under tornado, severe thunderstorm, and flash flood warnings all at once.
The city of Sonora was one area that had extensive reports of roadway flooding over the course of the afternoon and evening. Going into Sunday, sandbag locations were set up around the region.

The Alternate Net Control recorded active stations during the exercise. Following the Net Check-in procedure by Net Control, Alternate Net Control polled the stations available for a "Station Status".
Alternate Net Control recorded twenty six active stations during the exercise. Operators were willing to responded to needs as before, but opportunities were few. Reports were recorded of water blocking the roads, general weather changes, lightning and so on, but far less that yesterday. . Radio coverage by stations again included an area from the HWY 120 corridor, to 108 and HWY 4 corridor extending beyond the Tuolumne county boundaries. Stations monitored internet, and provided reports of commercial power status around the area, keeping all informed over the radio. Meetings and activity over GMRS radio involved several hams reporting fifteen contacts.
