It’s lettuce, mayo, pickles, onions. Two patties. The balance is perfect. Btw, it’s smashed. The way we cooked them on the flat top in the early nineties was smashed. Smash burger is also good but not the original.

Try the triple cheese bacon burger it has American cheddar and swiss or try the new pretzel haus pub burger and later this month the sweet potato fries with a side of marshmallow. I work at a culvers the pretzel burger has Dijon mustard, pickled onions cheddar cheese and the Wisconsin cheddar cheese sauce it's pretty good.
Sorry you guys have had such bad experiences I don't have any by where I live. I took the family to Tennessee and tried it, the burgers weren't the tops but I thought it was good. Mainly the root beer float and cheese curds. If I lived around it I may agree but have only had it one time last year.

We have these A&W’s in the MidWest. They have some terrible food. I rather go to the dollar store and grab some White Castle Burgers.
Theeeee best burger hands down is the wisconsin cheddar patty melt Wisconsin cheddar,.red onion on buttered toasted sourdough bun I always get mine as a double without onion That thing will put you right to sleep. Nothing but beefy buttery cheddar goodness
I haven't tried a Butter Burger but thinking about it. I've had their shrimp, fish and chicken. I find their food to be really greasy (too greasy). I do really like their custard. The chicken tenders and walleye when they have it is good, but again, it's really greasy.
The culvers here is always busy (in wisconsin go figure) I think the curds are over rated but again I'm in wisconsin so......their brownie overload is good

Their Double/Triple Mushroom Swiss Butterburger is my go-to. The Swiss and Mushroom Sauce compliments that juicy seared beef oh so deliciously. Upgrade to the onion rings and you're good to go.

There is no in-and-out burgers past Texarkana. It stops on the Louisiana border. This is the Eastern/Midwest version of in-and-out and it's the best!
