  • In late 1950, on a frozen mountaintop in North Korea, Lieutenant Colonel Raymond Davis led his Marines in a fierce attack against an enemy force to relieve a besieged unit at the Chosin Reservoir. Two years after this engagement, on November 24, 1952, Davis received the Medal of Honor from President Truman.
