    The graphics in Adventures of Batman and Robin really are stellar. It's a shame the game was soooooooo stupidly difficult. So few ever got to see some of the most impressive parts of the game. Excellent choice.

    Red Zone was underappreciated and a real technical tour de force back when it was released. Still not sure how they achieved the 3D effects.

    A lot of expected titles; but I had never heard of Red Zone, Panorama Cotton, Star Cruiser or Battle Mania Daiginjou. I'll check them out. Great video and right to the point!

    Great choices. I would definitely put up Flink, Kawasaki Superbike Challenge and Toy Story (the FPS level is mindblowing).. maybe Ultimate MK3 as well - there are some really interesting sound gimmicks.

    greatest sytem ever besides the original nes. Both had awesome 3rd party support. Many of todays great games has roots to these old classics.

    It's amazing! Some of the developers behind those games just have been Amiga or Atari ST demosceners.

    Red Zone totally reminds me of Loaded on the PlayStation, and in some ways even out performs it.

      A mix of Soviet Strike with Loaded adapted for a 16 bit system.

    'panorama Cotton's was that a standard Genesis/mega drive title, was it chipped?, or was it 32x or Sega CD. because it looks amazing, if they did that off regular Genesis hardware I'd say it's way more impressive looking then star fox

    By watching the Sega Genesis and super Nintendo graphics videos I’m going to have to give the win to the Sega Genesis the games just impressed me more visually and gameplay wise.

    Could genesis do mode 7? How can you recognize it? Is it only when there is scaling and rotation or is there another giveaway?

    • @robvelor
      @robvelor 7 лет назад

      All scaling and rotations was done through software on the Genesis, Sega CD on the other hand could scale and rotate via hardware just like the SNES. Soulstar CD is a good example of this.

    • @Prizrak-hv6qk
      @Prizrak-hv6qk 4 года назад +1

      @@robvelor
      Sega CD had much better scaling and rotation capabilities than the SNES. SNES could only scale and rotate a flat background or simulate sprite scaling by faking a spite out of a background tile. At the same time, Neo-Geo could only scale sprites. Sega-CD could scale both at the same time. Yes, Soul Star is the best tech demo for the capabilities.

    The genesis is really an intresting console. Just with 50 colours on it's highest on screen at once it still manages to deliver very vibrant looking games. That's what you get when developers put some heart into making games. Just look at ristar, colour wise it looks like any snes game only it has about a 200 colours less then your average snes game. Of the 16bit gen i think, 1st neo geo,2nd snes,3rd genesis when whe're talking graphics. Turbo graphix had tons of colours on screen they set yet 90% of it's games looked like buffed up 8 bit games, sega cd also had quite some impressive looking game but like a handfull.

    • @aryinc
      @aryinc 9 лет назад +1

      both to me look great, genesis graphics tend to look more like the ''neo geo'' style, very serious drawings. aladin just trumped it on the genesis. i do prefer snes over genesis graphic wise tough, colours mostly did make a diffrence.

    • @aryinc
      @aryinc 9 лет назад +2

      yeah you mean the''drawings'''yeah they kick ass on genesis, looked more serious allot of times. earthworm jim is a great example of less colours on genesis but looking better in almost every aspect.

    • @andyukmonkey
      @andyukmonkey 8 лет назад

      It's 61, if all the colours in the 4 pallettes and the background colour are different. But you're rarely see a game with that happening. It can be more than that with hardware tricks.

    • @aryinc
      @aryinc 8 лет назад

      yeah but many never really saw the genesis go past 60 or such. yeah vectrman did and maybe a few others. the composite video thing also was kind facinating, wich made pixels blend together for a transparant effect.

    • @andyukmonkey
      @andyukmonkey 8 лет назад +3

      Parts of Sonic 2's aquatic ruin zone easily go above 70 colours because of the water.
      Yeah i'm quite impressed with how well the bleeding works. I have Duke Nukem 3D for my Megadrive and unlike on emulators you can't even see the whole screen is being drawn with vertical lines.
      I actually think a well designed pallete works better than just being able to display 480 colours or whatever the PCEngine is capable of. I own quite a few PCEngine games and nothing looks better than say, Comix Zone. However some Snes games do.

      DKC is a boring and overrated game. Two words, GUNSTAR HEROES... or the fucking ROBOCOP v/s TERMINATOR. Fuck! The STREET OF RAGE 2 is more better than DKC.

      Toy Story on the Genesis is way more impressive when it comes to pre-rendered graphics and animation. There's also a SNES version, but the Genesis version has more impressive special effects and bonus states.
