Swimming and summer movies are top summer faves for us too!! Yay for co-op! 😊 I’m glad you found one that seems like a good fit!! I agree with you on the science experiments! So much set up and clean up for it to fail😂
I started kindergarten with my daughter July 1 so we’ve been going for a full month now and having a great start so far! You’ve been such a helpful resource and encouragement as I’m just starting my homeschool journey :)
Every year when summer rolls around I’m like, “We’re going to have so much time to do X, Y, and Z!” …and at the end of every summer, nothing gets done 😂
I somehow thought I was going to get so many projects done this summer and I've gotten zero done! Haha. I agree...it has been SO busy and gone by SO fast!
We are in our second year of homeschooling and second year at a co-op. I love it. Ours is very different than most I liked into, and it is a great fit. I pray your new co-op is a great fit for all of you.
Non “sciency” Mom here too! Can’t wait to hear how you like the co-op! My daughter has always wanted to do one. I still have more cleaning out and organizing to do. You are not alone!😊
I've also been in a newly-found reading season of motherhood as well and have been enjoying some good mysteries. I recommend Middle of the Night and God of the Woods. I still haven't finished God of the Woods, but it's been really good and no overly-steamy scenes yet 3/4 of the way through.
We are taking our time, too. I haven't decided when we are going to start (either at the end of August or after Labor Day). Im still trying to get things in order and lesson plan, which I haven't even started.
Great video as always dear!! Thank you!! I have been loving Mistle toe Murders on Amazon audibles. It’s really good!! I actually started with mistletoe murders 2 without realizing it was the second book.. I started the first “book” last week. It’s extremely realistic when it comes to sounds and every chapter is played by a different person.
My girls are 9 and 12 so I completely relate to your content (and values.) I’m so glad I found this channel. I send my girls to what is called a “homeschool tutorial” by some, idk what to call it…but basically a co-op with classes etc. This will be our third year and it can get hectic (at least for us) if we sign up for too many classes and have a lot at home as well. So my unsolicited advice is to start slow. 😅 If you feel like it doesn’t mesh well, trust your gut!
Yes I relate to it all adding up and can be a lot. With starting back up theater, piano and maybe softball this fall, I’m already planning how it’s all gonna work out😅 hope this year is smooth for you guys!
Jaime Jo Wright has some good ones- Souls of Lost Lake. Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle is one of my favourites (people either love or hate it). Steve Cavanaugh's Eddie Flynn series is great at the start, goes downhill by book 6 i think? But his first handful are pretty good. 😊 My homeschool breaks are all over the place, I'm having my third baby in October and so I'm trying to finish out my term and prep for next term so I can have a good month off 😅
Some great thriller/suspense with no spice/no politics - Author Stacy Willingham - A Flicker in the Dark and All the Dangerous Things (this one is really good for moms, its emotional but the author does it really well)
Hands down you need to read The Housemaid and Don’t Let Her Stay! I think The Housemaid had one spicy scene but I don’t think it was graphic, I could be misremembering though.

Aww so happy to hear that! So exciting the first year and at that age 🥰

I love the science just not so much the experiments, but I guess they go hand in hand 🤷🏻♀️
Sounds like you had such a fun summer! I can't believe Mia is one already... so cute!
None of us are ok with it 😭
How fun!
We are doing a Co-Op for the first time this coming school year as well. We are excited!😊
Hope you fun!
Thanks for sharing!
The Lost Apothecary was really good 😊
Why does that sound familiar? Will check it out!

You should check out when the day comes by Gabriel Meyer. It’s really good and listening now to the second book.
Thanks! I added it to my list
