Haha, brilliant video!! Loved the mic'd up idea for padel! Interesting to hear the tactics and loved how you and Pablo were telling each other where you're gonna serve.
Really fun video to watch! I have somewhat followed your padel journey and I am on something similar too. I don't strive too high since I started too late age-wise but always search and want progress anyway. Anyway very interesting to hear the coaches explain or tell what to do in certain situations where it didn't go well. Also I would have a hard time focusing when someone talks this much during points. I would switch from laugh to focus, laugh to focus and so on. But seemed like great coaches.
I feel like pablo was coaching you more on a choice you made and how that had impact, and oscar was telling Jon what he believed to be the correct choice . E.g.”just block” the volley
They’re both great coaches with different coaching styles! Depends on the person. Sometimes direct works well - this was a practise match so not as serious as a tournament.
Lol making noises like in a pro match. Those guys talk way to much... Ps. I know you gotta communicate with each other when playing padel...I just hate when somebody tells me to relax when Im totally relaxed, Lol.
Dude in the white hoodie is unbearable! Can't keep quiet, not even when he hits the ball and on 7:15 he blaims his partner? Jeez. Props to Jon for the patience.
Don't be silly, he's absolutely right. If Jon wants to progress, he can't let a point continue after being gifted a ball like that. It's useful straight talk to someone who I imagine wants to be competitive. Not all good coaches wear silk gloves and I would expect the same feedback if they were to win the point later instead.
it's hard because he is obviously better and know what he's talking about but at the same time makes an error himself. It doesn't mean he's wrong though... sometimes you just have to bear with the idiosyncracies of players who are better than you. I've done it myself when playing with someone who is obviously worse than me, but it doesnt mean my tips are wrong.
I dont know about you, but it drives me crazy when my partner says "you" when its so obvios its my ball and they say it right at the point of impact. its so distracting. pablo would drive me crazy.

I feel like oscar was very direct at times with Jon, giving him lots of varied feedback which would be hard for him to change during a match.

I agree it's annoying, ahhhhh, eeeehhhhh, aaahhhh. It's a game of padel, don't need all these noises every time you hit the ball.

Aha you get used to it and when he's giving you information about positioning of your opponents it's v useful.
what are those ugly sounds they make, and it's the coaches moreover !! ^^
