Jayy the look on your face when Michael came on screen was priceless - amazing. Thank you for playing this - my brother was a special man with obvious talents. You rock and you made my day.
Christina Michael was 5 years older than me. Leaving high school and getting my first job - Omygosh...music is how I match my memories. I was an INXS fan from the very beginning and it felt like magic to see them live in Cairns North Queensland. I travelled from my home town an hour South and would not have missed it! As an Aussie woman I'm so proud of this homegrown band and yes Michael was very special with his peaceful vibe and natural talent. Blessings to you and your family. 💜
The moment every woman reacts to Michael Hutchence with this video gets me every time. I’m like “I know girl, I know what you thinking and feeling...and you’re right!” He exuded sensuality and sex, but he was also a sensitive artist. He’s turning on women (and men) decades after INXS were huge. ♥️
@Lucy Anna no. I remember when the reports first came in. It wasn’t suicide. But you are correct. It is a sad thing. So much young talent gets lost and wasted.
It's his eyes, it's like he looks straight into your soul. And the smooth husky tone of his voice. The easy way he moves his body and the notes of the song. It is the whole package bc the band is so together.
Terence Trent D'Arby "Wishing well" Lenny Kravitz "It a'int over til its over "Robin Trower , Gary Clark jr ,Zz Top "Gotsta get paid" All total killers!
That's was the INXS JAM in the late 1980s! We used to JAM to this song in the clubs! SO sad, that lead singer Michael Hutchence battled depression and aggression after a bicycle accident in the early 1990s and hung himself in 1997. Gone way too soon. The spirit of Michael's lively and soulful vocals still live on! And the song's finish....classic! It was #1 on the Hot-100 and Dance Charts too! 😊👏🏾🎤🎶🎸🥁🎹💯
Even though he passed away a long time ago, every time I see him I just get all fluttery. He was charisma to the millionth power. I just wish I had seen them perform live. "The One Thing" is another great one by them, one of their earlier ones and the video is definitely what started my crush!
I saw them at a free gig at Melbourne State College in about 1980? before they became famous. I’ve never forgotten Michael, he had stage presence and charisma, and I remember thinking, this boy is going to go far. RIP Michael.
'Mystify' was always my favourite INXS song. I think I've been playing it in my car on an everchanging variety of technological formats since buying it on cassette in the late 80s 😆😆
I was 11 years old when this song was released, and like millions of other girls, I had an INSTANT CRUSH on Michael! I was like he's so fine and his voice was amazing! It just drew you in! Michael Hutchence and George Michael were my fantasy men of the 80's! Nobody came close to them! Spicy is right, girlfriend!! ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
One of my favorite bands. So glad I saw them in concert in their day before the lead singer died. He died so young. I love their earlier stuff and you'd like their videos for the One Thing and Original Sin.
Michael Kelland Hutchence did tragically commit suicide in 1997. However, he'd had a traumatic brain injury 5 years prior. I urge you to watch the 2019 Documentary "MYSTIFY: Michael Hutchence" for the real truth. Heartbreaking 💔... my favorite performer ever.
You are so lucky to have had him for a brother..... incredible vocals and stage presence! Love INXS. Rest in power to Michael and best wishes to you and your family ✊💙
Inxs think it all as one word...they just put the words in excess in a different way all their own . Alot of people don't put it together. I'm 42 , met the man micheal a few times in Sydney Australia on vacation bk in 1995 before a event. Yes he was that gorgeous in person . But I loved our brief conversations about music. I come from a musical bk ground. He thought it was cool that i was related to b.b king. M,y grandfather played with him.I'm from California so it wad a trip well spent I was only 15 of course nut ill never forget how amazing he was with people personally or not. We talked for about 15 min. Ill never forget it. I still have the pics of us after and before the show. At least igot to have a kiss on the cheek and a long hug and told me how Beautiful I was and how ill make someone very happy one day. Still can feel the tickle of his hair when he kissed and hugged me goodbye when would I have known it'd be the last time .he exists in our memory especially through their 🎶. R.i,p, keep singing angel,
I remember when they did the show “Rockstar INXS” and found a new lead singer JD Fortune and put out that new banger ‘Pretty Vegas’. You should check it out. RIP Michael Hutchence
Yeah Jayy, he's all that and two bags of chips. I'm not sure what's hotter, that hair, his voice or that look he gets when he's knows he's got you wrapped around his finger? You should hear "What You Need," "New Sensation," "Devil Inside" or "Suicide Blonde," all are great songs!
the original came out on MTV and was a longer version transitioning into their song Mediate. This was a whole new type of music Video and women went wild for INXS.
Girrrllllll wasnt he tall glass of cool water,..lol, (We saw you fanning!)we were all crazy for him,.MTV didn't help the matter, playing him all during the day and night, making us CRAZY!, he wasn't sleeping, we weren't sleeping!,.lol somebody said he was a Jim Morrison for the 1980's, and when I saw him in those videos, I always thought about that, both were so dam cute, and the sensuality just rolled off them,..do keep keep going, they made mad music, and also check out Icehouse, "Hey Little Girl", We Can Get Together (has a little quirky upbeat,), Sister, good band,...Mordern English ,"I Melt With You,..lot of amazing 80's bands, Spandau Ballet, the list goes on, Enjoy, Godspeed, Peace ✌
He oozed sex! I loved watching your reaction, lol, his appeal was universal and I saw them in concert and they were phenomenal. I went with my brother in law and honestly wasn’t thinking it would be anything fantastic, I wanted to see Michael and I did like their songs - I was blown away by their talent. RIP Michael, gone way too soon.
Great reaction. These guys were awesome...and I'm sure somebody must've said this at some point but I don't see it in the first few pages of comments and I'm not gonna scroll forever but...INXS is said like "in excess", which I'm sure is what the name is a play on.
Listen Like Thieves and Kick are both great albums. And yes, Hutchence was worshipped by some ladies lol. Loved their music, and definitely mourned the loss of another talented individual.
This video always made me laugh. Michael is there with his slick moves, sexy bare chest and supermodel hair ... and the other guys are just goofing off in the background while popping into his frame every few beats LOL !
The singer, Michael Hutchence had that effect on women. . . He prowls the stage like a sexy lazy leopard. . Ladies always got 'hot and flustered' when he sang. . . .
INXS had a few really good songs. Mike Hutchence looks a little like Jim Morrison - have you heard "Touch me?" by the Doors? Or anything by the Doors? Morrison had a Voice. "Light My Fire" was a GREAT song! Hope to see you give them a listen in the future!
Michael Hutchence.... 🔥🔥🔥. Sadly he is an example of how the mix of bad drugs and bad women can destroy a man. RIP Michael... you were so beautiful, inside and out.
hahahaha I knew you would get the group's name wrong hahahaha..Everybody did at first hehehehe just how it says IN X S ....Love this old school song...and I see that smile getting bigger and bigger...everytime Michael Hutchence comes in...lol
Great song by INXS (in-excess). But what impressed me most about your channel is the sound quality. This was the best sound I’ve heard on music reaction channels. The guitars really popped beneath the lyrics here.
Loved the reaction in your eyes the moment Michael made his first appearance..... Nothing more needed to be said. Great track, but not their best IMHO. Check-out Mr Hutchence's vocal performance on 'Love Will Tear Us Apart'
INXS was one of my favourite bands. I just wanna tell those who don't know how the band's name is pronounced. It's said like EXCESS...such as "in excess". INXS. Thanks.

Thanks Christina…for your brother’s contribution to music. I still miss him years later..he was a unique talent
Your brother was incredible as was the whole band, I’m from Cairns but I missed INXS, caught the Oils at Kuranda amphitheatre a couple of times.:)

Indeed!!!!!!!!!
He was so sexy. He was like a modern-day Jim Morrison.
EXACTLY!
Yeah you can definitely tell he was influenced by Morrison
Yep your right
Closest the 90s had to Robert Plant...
Yeah! It's like when Jim Morrison died he jumped inside of my man's body. Eerie as hell!
Yes honey! That man was gorgeous!!!!! And his voice was sexy as well! God rest his soul...I miss Michael so much!!!!

almost every track on the album Kick was a banger. Poor Michael RIP

@Lucy Anna Autoerotic asphyxiation
I love how our girl kept getting more and more "interested" as the song went on.
The band's name sounds like "In excess". The unconventional spelling can be a bit confusing.
Ohh interesting sorry wasn’t sure
Michael Hutchence was the sexiest thing Australia ever produced. We were all in love with him in the 80s!
Jayy, Give a listen to their song "Never Tear Us Apart"
I second this!
You looked flustered!! LOL
I'm flustered
Wouldn't be the first lol
Understandably so
Love that smile growing as Michael appears. He really was an exceptionally attractive man. And his voice was just as pretty as he was.
INXS had their own sound, and Michael Hutchence had that unapologetically sexual vibe--he made all the women a little nutty. RIP.
Some of the guys too!
I can vouch for that he was a real red hot Aussie entertainer. One word to describe him Glorious
Defined their own sound. On Rock Star: INXS, Marty Casey referred to them as “dance rock”. I think that’s the perfect name for what they do
It's his eyes, it's like he looks straight into your soul. And the smooth husky tone of his voice. The easy way he moves his body and the notes of the song. It is the whole package bc the band is so together.
