What is the resolution of the screen? I have heard that the video is laggy because of the crt at certain resolutions, but this seems to be working just fine! Great video!! :D
Better to have a DVD-ROM built in on an iMac back then than spend $80 more to get that same capability on today's iMacs. Not to mention that even USB 3.0 isn't as speedy as integrated.
The (max) resolution is 1024x768. This screen is really good for it's age and there is no lagging issues at all.

I'm not sure but there's a company called MCE Technologies that has an upgrade drive for the tray loader imac in it's store. Try there.
It's a stock Apple 6x DVD Drive that shipped with the Early and Summer 2000 iMac G3's. Try ebay. That's where I got mine.
I want a Mac :) I love them and this is a great Mac, congrats :D
