I enjoyed ordering the complete set and either putting them in sleeves or toploaders
This set changed Bowman forever!
Brings back memories opening a wax box back in the day
⚾️ Definitely one of my favorites! Your “Throw Back Thursday” tubelations are some of my favorites of your videos, but you know that already. I love that you continue to do those things that most baseball card hobbyist would truly love to do! Mostly I’m just happy your health is better!!
Awesome stuff Jabs! Great product!
TBT is cool for us young collectors who don't always get to see this stuff!
Hi E
You opened a pack near the end of the box and I saw my sons baseball card, Alan Newman. Wow!
Really??? That's your son!? That is pretty crazy
That's awesome!
Send him the card.
i met alan back in 2000 he signed some cards for me such a great dude is he coaching now ?
@@robtierney2569 He coached at Fullerton Community College (pitching coach) for a while. Now he works for Home Depot.
I was always happy to get a Nolan Ryan as a kid.
Nolan Ryan is one of the best to have played the game. I want his rookie card.
It’s amazing how the prices in the early Beckett’s looks like a stock ticker!
It was, and trust me, people took those numbers as seriously as the Bible. My friend who owned a shop would reprice everything every month based on Beckett prices.
Love to open 80s and 90s boxes!! Good video
I bought so many of those packs. I was 14 in ‘92
I love the random studio photos in street clothes. Looks so goofy
I had SOOOOO many of these cards growing up. I still have a few around somewhere.
Love the content you put out. Keep it up!
I totally forgot about Hoffman. He was GOOD. I love throwback Thursdays. Keep "em comin'. Love it.
I went to high school with Trevor Hoffman
Love these old breaks.
Unlucky break but still a great video Jabsy. I love these throwback videos mate, keep them coming.
Good video. Funny seeing some of the crazy shirts.
Cool break, haven't seen these in years.
Hi i really like watch you open baseball cards.
Thanks Erik for doing this. I get so bummed when you don't pull the big cards. Hope you can get a great box next time.
i got the mariano rivera rook in a garage sale a couple of years ago
Cool video and keep up the good job Eman nice stuff!
I enjoy listening to your knowledge of baseball...
⚾️ Love that McGwire card, definitely one of my favorite players (Cal’s my favorite!), yeah HOF or not I liked watching McGwire, Sosa, Bonds during the slugfests, I used to collect him & Sosa through the 90’s when my kids were just babies. This was during the second stage of my collecting after I gave it up for about 12 years when I was a kid/teen.
Tough Luck. But great video. These videos get me through my workday. Thanks for the content.
I didn't realize these were going for so much. I bought 4 Boxes in about 2009 for about $180 each. Still have them. Good investment it seems.
Nice video. Already looking forward to the next tbt
Best card channel
Got the Mike Piazza reprint cool card but hope u get that Mariano rc card Eman good luck ur pal,Dodgers fan Drew!
Always fun to try and next time all the cards we are looking for will turn up.
Love this set
I'm so amazed by the rookies of today being worth so much more than most stars of Yesteryear
Looks like a great product!!!
These remind me when I was collecting, believe I was 12 I'm 38 now. Cards have def changed.😂😂😂. I never went to School without a Baseball Beckett!!!!! Love your channel bro. A lot of reminiscing that's for sure!!!!!!!! -Cpl. Edwards
Loved that design
Love the design of 92!
Pretty rare box man and a great throwback video! Some of the pictures Bowman did crack me up, looking like some yearbook shots. I'm not sure which was more painful to see - the lack of a Rivera or the bad fashion. The casual polo shirt look was on fire in the early 90's lol
never saw that trevor hoffman card! very nice!
I have so much respect for Jim Abbot. It didn't take him long to get that glove on the other hand did it? I'm so proud of the Angels and any other team that gave this young man a chance to prove himself. Very good athlete indeed.
Bowman has always had some quality cards. Nice throwback
89 Bowman were horrible
Nice Hoffman! I got his Topps RC in a Fairfield box recently
Awesome looking cards
I used to live in Schererville, Indiana back in the day. Went to visit BBCE a couple of years ago when I was visiting Chicago to see the Cubs play.
Baseball card exchange is about 20 min from my house. Awesome LCS great people
That was definitely a cool break to watch. Sorry about the Rivera!
Always liked 92 Bowman, these where hard to find when I was a kid, considered premium.
At least you pulled the greatest closer ever. :)
Topps did some 92 bowman throwbacks recently. I got a chrome one of Anthony Rizzo in a very 90s looking suit ha
great flashback to my teenage years,i dont have a rivera either.
Awesome fan mail Friday only a day away!
Nice Manny !
These cards do look nicely centered.
Always liked the look of 92 Bowman
Love Manny Ramirez just hanging out card lol. Wow the foil cards are nice too.
Ricky Gutierrez! One of those random guys I always liked. Had a couple good years for the cubs
Love the drama at the end. So sad.
always nice breaks here
I felt like I was opening packs wishing for Rivera. At least it was better the 81 Donruss. Lol
Cool product!
I wasn't collecting in the 90s, so not that familiar with these cards. Thanks for sharing
Great throwback, Rivera next time!
Love this set. I had to buy a bunch of boxes and had to buy singles. It cost me a ton to make this set
Funny you mentioning your brother not finding a Canseco out of 86 Donruss.. I finally found a Fairfield box at Walgreens and that Canseco RC was in the one box I bought. Crazy. Good break sorry no Mo
Erik. Because of you, and your stream that I strolled upon last October, you have opened up the likes of Coach K and Wicked Discounts to me. What a great community of camaraderie and passion for the hobby! I collected in the late ‘80s then stopped. Now I’m back. Thank you thank you thank you. This video shows the excitement - and sometimes disappointment - of ‘The Hunt’. Awesome either way. That Bowman year was exceptional. BTW, my fave DMB track is The Stone, off Before These Crowded Streets. Been into DMB since the beginning, and this offering showcased their evolution of creativity and brilliance. Of course, music is like sports; completely subjective. And if you haven’t seen them at the Gorge in WA, well that’s a bucket list dude. Cheers and carry on!
Mike,
BTCS is their best album, good song choice. I got into them in 1999 after hearing Crush on the radio. I didn't know the name of the song, just that it was DMB so I ended up buying all of their albums trying to find that song and was immediately hooked.
I've been to the Gorge twice - in 2010 and 2012 to see DMB. Might be time to go back soon!

Although no rivera or piazza was pulled. It was still a fun break to watch.
Great cards.
That is such a good set
Awesome video
I remember buying TONS of rack packs of this set. I have 16 Rivera's, 11 Ramirez, 14 Piazza's. :)
Love TBT, I’d watch another 81 Donruss to see if it gets better
Its It's actually sad to see that you didn't pull the rivera rc but you pulled some other good rcs which is still good to see
Great video
The up and down arrows in the Beckett indicate that the card price increased or decreased from the previous issue. The arrows don't necessarily mean that the card will be going up or down. It's a common misconception. In fact, they always mentioned that in the magazine, but a lot of people never bothered to read that.
@@DrifterThrifters Did you listen to what was being said in the video from 1:35 to 2:30?
I really like the foil cards they r cool looking
Enjoy these throwback Thursday videos. Better luck next week getting the featured card of the series of cards you will be opening
I'm sorry you didn't find the Rivera or Piazza. That box had some collation issues that impacted your odds, although they were not the worst collated cards ever. I'm working with some 1988 Score - that is some bad collation!
Take care of yourself and your family.
I love bowman card's. I may get in on a break if I ever get a chance. They are most of the time gone because I cant afford to be a patron with a seniors income. LOL. Cant do much with $800.00 a month income.
You find some pretty good boxes.
Beautiful Frank Thomas card
U should always look at the old Beckett’s before u break. Very cool to see the Rivera was only 30 cents!
I remember being a kid and going into our small town card shop and never being able to afford these. I can’t recall how much they were, but I just remember them being expensive. I only got $3 for an allowance so it was usually Fleer ultra basketball or maybe Pinnacle baseball.
Thanks for mentioning Cliff Floyd, I collected everything I could find of his. I assume their not worth anything in this day and time. I enjoy watching.
Yeah man, I feel your pain. I collected every Canseco I could find and not worth much now! I even traded a '92 Bowman Piazza for a handful of Canseco cards lol...
1992 bowman is a fun set
Also I send u something today but u should get it next week something for Olivia,Elsa and for u so enjoy!
Lol. I keep forgetting what day it is
Nice box and video
I would rock those shirts today.
Awesome
This is one of those weird sets that’s when you get a wax box it’s exciting probably because it was so out of reach when it came out but now it’s within reach and other then Mariano rc there really isn’t much to write home about. I guess it’s nostalgia more then worth in this case.
Cool cards
11:16 ouch a little to hard on Gregg Jefferies who had over 1500 hits and a couple AS selections and even 2 HOF votes.
Failed prospect was actually nice, I would have called him a major bust based on the hype train he had in the late 80's! He did have a couple of good seasons in STL.
I recently sold the 92 Mariano Rookie along with his 93 2nd Bowman card on Ebay, both ungraded. Started bidding at $50 and they went for $55. That is what I was figuring for ungraded cards. Probably should have gotten them graded, but didn't want to spend the time and money for just 2 cards to grade.
Love those Man Rams
I just picked up a rivera at a card shop yesterday for $1, great condition, guess they just didn't know what they had.
Hope you have better luck this week
Some good player from Blue Jays 1992-1993 World Champs.
14:02 That's the man who stole me dancing shoes!
Cool tbt
Nice Hoffman!
Hey man!! Where did you get the book from? Im new to your channel. I have around 25k cards so just sorting them out slowly
