- Here is a very special video. This is Wham! performing their smash hit "Last Christmas" at Wembley Arena on December 27th, 1984. It also turns in to "White Christmas" at the end which is really unique. I believe this is the only upload of this performance at the moment. It's not the best quality but I think it's the best sounding version we have from the Big Tour.
Thank you to @Whamegafan35 for sending me his transfer of his tape of this concert so I didn't waste time transfering mine :)

The frequent playing of this song during December always makes me think about how long George has not been with us for but he would not have wanted us to be sad during the holidays, he would have wanted us to celebrate the season and have a joyous period with our nearest and dearest. Thank you George, we love and miss you more than you would ever know. Thanks for a great video Albert. 😊

I am just amazed that at such a young age, George Michael could have such command over the audience to get them to sing back like that! It takes real showmanship to inspire an audience to respond like this--I find it just amazing and inspiring! This is in 1984. It is obvious it would become part of his performances to always get audience participation during his concerts and something he would be remembered for too. He had charisma and energy on stage, he could really wow a crowd and get their attention and direct them. Just wonderful!! A real talent to have at such a young age, and he refined it as he grew in his career as a singer and performer and entertainer!!
It is so sad he died way too young, grateful for the massive body of works he left for us, and grateful that royalities to his music are funding charities. That is phenomenal! This is his lasting legacy.

@@wham they did 4 dates at Wembley in December didn't they, back in 1984, im pretty sure it was this particular one i was at, it was a total surprise for me as i didn't know i was going until the last minute, a friend had arranged the tickets and travel, it was an amazing atmosphere in Wembley stadium especially when George sang this song, they came out on stage in Christmas outfits and suddenly the stage turned into a Christmas theme, this is all before last christmas was officially released right? As i remember George saying it was a new song and " i hope you all like it" before singing it, and the rest is history
Not quite… Last Christmas was released on December 3rd, 1984 and this particular audio is from December 27th, 1984. It was only a few weeks old at the time.
Ah right, thankyou for clarifying, i do remember George saying it was a new song and i hope you like it, maybe it was the first time i actually heard of it at the concert, it was a long time ago, i was only 14 at the time, a great memory for sure, i am so glad i got to hear it back then and live

Why is this song hard to find live
It was seldomly performed. Only done in December 1984, Brixton Academy and The Final Concert in 1986, and 3 times on the 25Live tour in December 2006.
