🔱 Caught a Massive Moray Eel | A Dangerous Spearfishing Encounter 🐟

☀️ Welcome to another spearfishing adventure! This time, my friend Simos and I visited a beautiful location well-known to most spearos in the area.
🐚 We warmed up with some shallow ambushes, taking turns diving to explore the fish activity. Simos spotted an impressive, big Triton’s trumpet, one of the Mediterranean’s largest sea snails.
🔱 Then we spotted two moray eels hiding under a single rock. I decided to dive for them and secured the larger moray eel with a headshot. It was a prized catch, later cleaned, filleted, and pan-fried!
🐟 Back at it, we didn’t encounter many fish. After several ambush attempts, the small fish seemed really calm. So, we decided to catch some tasty parrotfish to secure a nice dinner.
🌊 With the sun still shining, we cleaned our fish on the spot, joined by a hungry little crab. To our surprise, it turns out the large moray eel’s last meal was an octopus!

Όχι δεν το έχω δοκιμάσει,αλλά το έχω δει στη έκθεση και σε videaκια και φαίνεται δύναμη,με ένα bluetec lycan 105 ψαρεύω,μια χαρά είναι αλλά το mrcarbon είναι αλλά φαση...
Καλό καλοκαίρι με υγεία εύχομαι φιλαράκι!

I know for sure that moray eels are vital for the marine ecosystem, just like groupers.
Thankfully we still have plenty of them around here. I usually pass on moray eels, but I thought I’d catch one for a change since they are pretty tasty.
How exactly are you so sure we don't have many moray eels??? Have you ever been for spearfishing yourself? Every huge underwater rock has at least a big moray eel underneath it!!!
@@alexbedini731 me personally i dont see and if you research in general we have low number of moray, many lionfish are increasing therefore we need them.
Είναι γενικά μοναχικό ψάρι και δε θα το δεις συχνά να κάνει παρέα με κάποια άλλη σμέρνα. Πώς αναπαράγεται: Η αναπαραγωγική της δραστηριότητα δεν είναι αρκετά γνωστή. Πιστεύεται ότι είναι ερμαφρόδιτο ψάρι και ζευγαρώνει σε ζεστά νερά. Γεννά περίπου 60.000 αυγά στη θάλασσα τους μήνες Ιούνιο και Ιούλιο. Μάλλον, ζευγάρωναν και για αυτό ήταν και οι δυο μαζί...
Are moray eels feeding on lionfish?
Here in Halkidiki, I usually encounter several moray eels per dive - and no lionfish (yet).
