#3 had shit story and poor character development. All non-Chinese antagonists were cartoon characters and just there for cool fight scenes. Small weaknesses in otherwise fantastic series.
It was definitely the most brutal. Ip man vs Miura was a more standard duel. Against Twister, they used boxing rules, with breaks between rounds. With Mike Tyson's character, it was only 3 minutes long. Against Cheung Tin Chi, it was another standard duel, where Tin Chi gave up after just one real hit. But here, they fight with no rules, no break, and no regard for anything. Ip ends up getting beaten up quite a bit, but in return busts Geddes's eye, and finishes him with a brutal throat attack.
