I think I ate those in Shoppers, it good, I recommend it to anyone when they're going out for hot food but specifically in the afternoon because they don't always prepare their meals in the morning
As someone who lived in both SoCal and in the Bay, I've tried both. Both are really good, but different kind of good. Gregoire is more about the texture - the puffs have a very creamy and melt-in-your-mouth smooth texture, while Portob is more about favor - the spice brings a lot of layers to the balls. Both are godsend ❤️
This place called Portos has potatoe balls like this. But you can get them with a meat or other filling if you want. So you get crispy breaded mashed potatoe balls and filling. It's pretty food.
I lived near there many years - they’re fun to try but I found it hard to eat more than 1 and they’re just not as addicting as French fries 😅 - the flavor by itself without the dip is just ok in my opinion. Gregoires does source amazing fresh ingredients so I enjoy their food overall.
There's a local fast food place where I live called Pal's and they have cheddar rounds. Which are potato balls with cheese inside that are deep fried. Talk about fkn amazing!!! 😋
