It's great to hear about Bernard King's career with the Nets, Jazz and Warriors. King's time with the Knicks with Hubie Brown, particularly in 1983 and 1984 still hasn't been forgotten.
I was a basketball junkie back in the 1980's. Bernard King was unstoppable with Hubie Brown & the Knicks. The playoff series against the Pistons & Isiah Thomas was an instant classic.
Bernard King was def one of my Favorites when I first started watching NBA basketball He was a walking bucket Coast to coast scoring and his sweet spots on the floor were automatic for sure. what I admired most was even after the knee injury during the 85/86 season came back still getting buckets, His tenure with the Washington bullets his battles with M.J and the Chicago bulls were epic to me. Bernard King is a NBA legend to me.
I started watching the NBA the year before Jordan was drafted and by far Bernard King was my favorite current player back then and to this day he's still my personal favorite Top 5.
He’s one of my favorite what-ifs! His injuries, and some personal demons he had off the court cost him and the fans some amazing years. But damn he was good! I’ve watched a bunch of his games over the years on RUclips. And his game was so smooth!! I’m so happy you finally featured him. These player profiles are truly second to none!!
As a Knick fan growing up. I loved Bernard. He was so fast. He shot the ball on the way up not the apex of his jump. It was unstoppable. I spent years in middle and high school pretending to be him on the left block. Hard to compare him to anyone today.
He was why I became a Knick fan. Broke my heart when he had his injury and the Knicks didn't give him a chance to come back. I had wanted him to team up with Ewing.

Bernard King really was an all-time underrated player. He put that completely under-talented 83-84 Knicks team on his back and took them all the way to a 7th game against the eventual NBA champ Celtics. From 83-85, he was the 2nd best SF in the league only behind Bird.
@@RoyPage1970 Nah I can't agree with that 😂King was a GREAT low post scorer with a nice mid range. His game was more comparable to Kevin McHale. Bird could score, shoot, pass, rebound, post up etc.
I try to tell younger Knicks fans that a Celtics fan I still wake up in a cold sweat thinking about trying the contain Bernard in the playoffs during the 80s. Anyone who thinks Carmelo was better than Bernard, no, Bernard was a force. Fabulous player.
Bernard King, Adrian Dantley, Alex English, Terry Cummings, Mark Aguirre..all fantastic players who don't get brought up enough. Bird and Dominique were great yes but these other forwards were right there with them.
