Bernard King was def one of my Favorites when I first started watching NBA basketball He was a walking bucket Coast to coast scoring and his sweet spots on the floor were automatic for sure. what I admired most was even after the knee injury during the 85/86 season came back still getting buckets, His tenure with the Washington bullets his battles with M.J and the Chicago bulls were epic to me. Bernard King is a NBA legend to me.

His injury shortened his career so he didn't compile numbers. He's no on any top 10 lists so his career is ignored. When people today talk about how great a player was all they do is list stats but stats don't tell the whole story.

Indeed. "Hot Plate"? Maybe he's thinking of the "Microwave" Vinnie Johnson!

The intent was to convey sarcasm as Williams never managed to be in basketball shape.
