Nice. My one thought is to use wing nuts for the closing nuts. It will make opening and closing and tightening much easier

This is really great but I am wondering if I am missing something. Yes, these are great for their intended purpose inside the belly of a crankbait but.... They would also make great weights for the free rig and the drop shot. You have a great design here and great video explaining it plus it has other additional purposes. Great job! Thanks for the video.

Thanks for watching! And yes it could be used for a free rig or drop shot as well. Many different uses

Nice job. Heard you can modify a do-it mold for belly weights, but am unsure of what mold that is.

Great vid man I practiced and made some quick molds with hardwood for belly weights. A drill press vise would be great for you with the wobble. Where’s a good place to get the aluminum?

I got mine at a local hardware store. I would recommend Amazon tho or ebay

Why not space the lead holes closer then you can get six or more in the same length and do three different weights by drilling at say 1/4”, 3/8” and 1/2” depths all at the same time. And use more clamps rather than hand hold for accuracy!
